Front row, all day... it was so fucking hot. They passed cases and casses of water to us to send in to the crowd. I must have drank a dozen bottles myself and never pissed once lol
+Bobert Bobert haha i got there late after working nights...was pretty far back...got there when the isley brothers were playing. Slept thru justin timberlake...acdc stole the show that day
Right? I don't remember using the bathroom once lol I was near the front. The paramedics couldn't get to us, so they were throwing water bottles at people's heads lol That day was wild 😅
annarks it was crazy there! the rolling stones closed and acdc were before them. justin timberlake played there too. i was sad i missed ttp tho...acdc were better then the stones
I think too many people focused on the Jim Morison comparisons.. but I still thought they were a killer band... unless I am misremembering I think I saw them once in Calgary at the Night Gallery or the Republik or maybe the UofC either way I dug their shit and still have a couple CDs kicking around
It was meant as a compliment though those who compared Jeff to Jim liked Jim and he did have a good stage presence. Oliver Stones Doors movie came out in the 90s and we wanted to recreate a bit of that feeling for ourselves. The psychedelics were around then too like in the 60s.
Thank you so much for this! A treasure!
I was there 😊
I can listen to this segment all day"Rocks"! The TEA!
Wish I could go to this show every year. Took 3hrs to walk from far right to far left of stage lol. FUCKING GREAT TIME!

Fixed. Dunno why i put the wrong date...so many shows....so many dates
Hot days
some of this sounds like what jim morrison might have morphed into. ha even paint it black in there.
It all sounds the same. Not enough progressive form of rock.
