Even if SDA is a big tent group, the problem is always the same. There is a clown in the tent named Ellen. And some like the act, and some want the clown booed off the stage.
Outside of Australia you’ll NEVER understand the context of this one line from the movie The Castle, “Tell ‘em they’re dreamin’!!” At that price, He can keep the jousting sticks!!😂😅😊
I like his idea of a pluralistic Venn diagram for the non-core teachings, e.g.: those outside of the Godhead (father, son, and holy spirit), the salvation of sinners from sin and death, the 2nd advent, and the 7th day sabbath.
What if the doctrine is abusive? My poor mother is paranoid of the gov and the sunday keepers. She still condemns people who eat meat, and she is so deluded with the sabbath that she thinks she's jewish.
To your question: ‘Can a Mormon keep being a Mormon if he rejects being a Mormon?’ Lol. They can keep their name on the books but if they reject Mormonism they aren’t really a Mormon anymore are they.
Regarding Dr Johnson’s two views on the”consensus” doc of GV. I think because he loved the church and loathed the idea of embarrassing it so publicly in the Ankerberg show he held fast to the “official??” View as the appointed spokesman for the church out of sheer loyalty. Later when he spoke to Peter he was able to speak from a personal position. Please don’t be too quick criticise him. If the church was full of members like him we would be home and dry.

I think overall it is abusive and not good for one’s mental health. Hopefully some Adventists who choose to remain sda can find safe havens.
@@SDAQandAwould that be the same for say, a Mormon? Can you remain Mormon and reject mormonism for the gospel?
@SDAQandA Can a Mormon continue to be a Mormon if he rejects mormonism?
@@vegacool1obvious not.

Is David anything to do with the Canadian lay preacher Herb Larson?
