Nice trailer, but man that price is insane. The Lightship and Pebble are about half that price.
Yes they are but they’re also not out yet. These are out now and are really built to last. I am excited for Lightship and Pebble. Hopefully I get a chance to cover those as well 🤞🏼
Agreed..that price is really high. Looks like great and amazing quality, but that price is too high!
Wow great wh/mile numbers! Ok, I need to check these trailers out. Thanks for this video
I was really impressed with the results. Thanks for your support
Beautiful trailer. Good interview
They really are gorgeous especially in person. Thank you for the watch and kind words 🙏🏼
I wonder what this same test is with a Silverado 4WT range would be?
That would be a great test. I’m hoping to get my hands on one at some point. If so I will definitely do many tow range tests with it
Sound incredible and the look of the trailer 👌
Trailer is gorgeous and range results were amazing
Wow! Amazing. Wish they could make some more budget trailers. If not (I prefer they do), someone else should mimic the shape and use less expensive lightweight materials with a similar shape. Pretty sure if one were to try to make a less expensive one, fiberglass or some composite mold (rather large mold) would do the job.
What I’m excited about is that I think more and more RV companies will be coming out with EV trailers. The more competition will in turn lower the costs 🤞🏼
@@Butter_EV Unfortunately, if legacy RV companies (where did we hear this before) try to make them, they'll probably make the lighter/smaller/cheaper by compromising on quality build and parts. Just look at most "low weight" trailers. They're not what I'd call "quality" trailers (you mentioned it too). The only way I can see this happening is for a new player to shuffle the deck. Pebble might be one but is still expensive. Someone needs to come in with the Tesla mindset of reducing cost with volume. Making qaulity trailers lighter and more aerodynamic will benefit all vehicles - not just EVs. When people will realize the cost savings at the pump (+ less stops at the pump/charger) - a new market leader will be born. I with Bowlus could build a subsiderary (reserving Bowlus to high end trailers) to build low-cost aerodynamic and light trailer in volume. I'm pretty sure they can, though it's a gamble and a signfiicant investment.
💯
Maybe you should build your own charging network with pull through.
Been working on it but I then fired all of my Butter charging network staff 🤦🏻♂️
Cool trailer👍🏻
Can the CT plow?
Thanks
The trailer is really cool. I am so grateful that they invited to conduct this test 🙏🏼
Hey nice result. You didn’t mention what your average speed on the highway was. How fast were you driving?
You are right I forgot to mention that but we stayed between 55-60mph per CA law 😒
Hey mate. Based off this what you rekn towing a small 4m aluminium boat would be? Should sit mostly in the draft
Hello, do you happen to know the weight of the boat and trailer? Also how tall would this boat on a trailer be? Roughly. Drag is probably the biggest range killer so if the boat sits lower that the truck that would help tremendously
@Butter_EV bout 1.4m high while its on the trailer. Less than 700kg id say. But these numbers were awesome 👌
If I had to guess you’d get better numbers than this test. Roughly half the weight and not as high as the Bowlus.
I was talking to a CT owner that owned a go cart company and towed flatbed trailers and short walled trailers 90% of the time with his CT and he said that if the trailer was inside the silhouette of the CT the range hit was negligible. But if your trailer was larger that the CT the range hit got big real quick.
💯 drag is the biggest killer on efficiency and range
Sadly the majority of this is just an advertisement for Bowlus, you should change the title because it's very misleading in that there's very little about the Cybertruck, smh.
Ultimately it was a test to see how far you can go while towing the Bowlus Volterra. Main point for us and Bowlus were the results
@@Butter_EV Funny cuz you spent more than half the video talking to the company about their product ;?D
