Great episode you guys. I totally agree, esp the closing comments. Some folks will keep a gas car/truck. But they will become niche over time. That's FINE!!
I think the heavier Cyberbeast with "only" 845 hp will beat the 1020 hp Model X plaid also on asphalt. The former consistenly does 0-60 in 2.6 secs on regular asphalt roads while the latter does 2.5 seconds on 0-60 with roll out and in ideal situations. It would be a fun drag race to see 🙂 But it begs the question - how did Tesla manage this kind of acceleration for the Cybertruck?!
Yeah it’s weird Pierre, I’m guessing they have the Cybertruck more locked off right now than the X Plaid…maybe they will open it up in the future…Brandon is working on finding a track to test that out
The motor gearing is probably lower on the cybertruck which lets it accelerate harder, but I'm pretty sure when you get up to speed, the plaid would leave it behind.
More gear reduction, the model X is way better at higher speeds, which is not really something that truck owners care about. 0-60 is more relevant when you are towing.
@@hummerguy Acceleration is synonymous to torque. 0-60 will just give you the average torque over that range of speeds relative to tire diameter and vehicle weight.
I thought the Cyberbeast is not available till November. I have the invitation and I wanted to order the Cyberbeast but the delivery says November. How did you get it so early.
Do you think it would actually feel like a sport car if it had stiffer suspensions and more tire pressure? Because it has a low center of gravity, steer by wire, rear wheel steering and an incredibly stiff body. The only thing that tells you you are in a truck is the cushy suspension and the huge tires.
When the Cybertruck first came out I thought it was just ugly, but over time it's growing on me and it's not that bad now. Really though, there's nothing like it out there, so it's very unique. With most trucks today looking the same, there's nothing that looks like this truck. If I had the money I would have an EV but for now I'll have to rely on the old school V8 truck but an EV would be nice one day. Good video, I just found your channel and will be watching as you put stuff out.
I appreciate your honest opinion on the Cybertruck! It's interesting how our perceptions can change over time. And thank you for checking out my channel🙏
My dad has the model y, love the look of your model x, how is the ride quality compared in your model x compared to like the model 3 and model y, since the x has air bags? Id love to get the x but its pretty expensive currently, i think they will drop the prices in 2 years when inflation comes back down hopefully lol
The model y is very cool, we bought that first…I think if you compare the X to other big SUV’s it doesn’t have as many bells and whistles (fancy wood leather etc) however it’s really very fast, comfortable and fun I never get tired of driving it 😁
Can you guys help me and hook me up with buying a cyber beast😂, I’ve always been interested in tesla electric cars and especially cybertrucks, i love all new cars now days and y’all guys channels so please let me know if i can get my hand on one of those, I’ve still very young and have not yet build a career fully yet so I’m not in perfect financial shape.
I think when it comes to Vans (especially for RV’s) and heavy duty trucks hybrid is a great option, cars and light duty trucks like this electric is fine in my opinion. Different tools for different jobs I guess
Clearly you've never owned (maybe never drove) a Tesla... 🤦♂ Hybrid is wrong on MANY levels. Need to maintain two drive trains, would very soon be more expensive than an EV... it's a patch and within 10 years would disappear. If a Tesla Semi can do 500 miles on a charge, the days of gas/diesel/hybrid are over... it's just another decade for them to completely disappear (as new vehicles).
For those of us that drive 300 to 400 miles at a shot. EV is not really an option. We can't stop and wait for the vehicle to charge up. So for now fuel is it. Plus who can afford the replacement batteries. Too expensive for us poor people.
Nobody replaces batteries! That just doesn't happen. These are not walmart toys that need battery replacement. The new cars including the cybertuck get more than 300 miles according to Edmunds. 334-350 actually. With a little more research you'll see and change your mind.
I only drive 2-3 hrs at a stretch, so it’s perfect for me - a guilt-free, relaxing 30 minute charge time every 3 hr. The kids love it (and so do I). The batteries on my 3 yr old Model Y show no sign of needing replacement at 70,000 miles, so I’m skeptical of that speculative claim. It looks to me that the battery will last the life of the vehicle.
Big thanks to Drake & Brandon, I’m even more excited to get my Cybertruck and yet at the same time, now I know it’s going to be worth the wait!
Those things sound like fighter jets going overhead at 200 feet.
You said it better than me 😁

Sounds like an f-16 flying by 🤣
Yeah, I agree 😁
I really wish it had the dash gauge or heads up display for the money
Yeah, the X has the dash gauge…not sure what TeslaS deal is with that one, you shouldn’t have to go get an after market accessory for that
I like it better without the blocked-by-the-steering-wheel display. Less redundant clutter and better for your night vision.
A work truck should be as simple as possible.
A recreational vehicle not so much...
Heads-up displays are wonderful. I don’t understand why Tesla doesn’t do them. It’s the biggest feature I missed when test-driving Teslas.
@2:00 That sound in my head is like the sound of two low flyin' Jets!
I kept playing that part over and over again 🤣
Steer by wire is not a good reason for delaying FSD. FSD is driving is by wire. Rear wheel steering, towing, and camera location are possible reasons.
Pretty Cool, this kind of stuff keeps you young. Thanks for the video.

Wow the cyber truck smoked the model xplaid
I've seen two car carriers with two each coming out of Texas
This is exactly why I didn't order a Beast! The AWD is fast AF as it is! lol
I want a DeLorean
I would get one and convert it to electric…the motor in it was crap, they’re iconic though BFP!

Thanks 😀
They're both over priced for spoiled fanboys. We need the regular cybertruck for the rest of us.
Go whine to your boyfriend.

Hybrid vs. electric. Hybrid wins. I saw you talking to Nick at Coachman. #neverelectric. Makes no sense. Electric has a bigger carbon footprint...

Hybrids are trash.
Yea, a diesel hybrid is the way to go, would love to see the range on this truck if it was a diesel hybrid
Yes, maintain an ice engine and an electric car. How silly.

For sure everything is not for everyone…usually batteries have a 10 year or 100,000 mile warranty and as time goes on they get cheaper to replace

@ChitFromChinola exactly I do the same thing, and it's awesome.
That DOESN'T produce the muffler effect. Learn the science.
Come on Tesla, release the non-FS $79,990 AWD Cybertruck already!!!
