Hi Alex and Kate. If you get a chance you should try a Cheerwine float made with vanilla ice cream. So good. When my husband and I vacation at the OBX in North Carolina, we always stop and pick up some Cheerwine and ice cream to have at our beach cottage.
Entemann's is a commercial bakery which absolutely is one step up the ladder of quality (or two) from Hostess. They sell a whole line of ready-made baked products of many styles with quality good enough to serve as a dessert for friends. (Although home baked is of course preferred, who has time?) It's not top rung (local bakeries and fresh baked is better) but Entemann's could be brought to an informal party with friends (like their Pound Cake, for example, or Crumbed Coffee Cake, and their boxes of mini chocolate chip cookies are addictive) . However, if you were to bring Hostess snacks and cakes to a gathering of friends, your friends might question your personal level of taste. Hostess is more for kids growing up. Serving Hostess treats to adults... you need to use them as ingredients in a composite dessert (like slices of ho-hos under a gelato and salted caramel sundae, for example) but ... there's a ladder of social acceptability in baked goods, and for certain, Entemann's is more for the grown up table, Hostess is for the kids. (Homemade is best, local bakery is decent, but if you must buy the commercial bakery, Entemann's and Friehoffer's are acceptable, if full of preservatives that change the flavor of the snack.) My opinion only, but... my dad owned a bakery. :)

Alex, if you like Nutella on your porridge, you should try my fav way to add Nutella. In cup of Chobani Greek Raspberry yogurt, stir in a spoonful of Nutella. The smooth creaminess of the raspberrry yogurt with the Nutella is like eating a decadent dessert. Yum!

The stuffed marshmallows have a cookies and cream, peppermint stuffed and a double chocolate, chocolate marshmallow with chocolate inside! And applesauce is puréed apples and it a American favorite, my kids like to flavored applesauce, Cherrwine is more of a Southern drink, you can’t find it here in Wisconsin when I live

Original Dr. Pepper isn't cherry flavored but there is a cherry dr pepper. Fizzy drinks in the UK has more fizz(carbination) than sodas in the US. Something I found out when I lived in the UK in the 1990.

I love Queen Anne Cordial Cherries!! So many people hate them here in America. I have gotten them on sale for as low as $0.25 cents per box after Christmas here in California. I never get tired of them. The Cordial Blueberries are good also but the cherries are classic!
That's really interesting to watch you two experience these things because as Americans we take them for granted. Because for you to say that you like entenmann's over hostess, we all feel the same way. Entenmann's is more of a I don't know how to say this robust mature quality. If I had to equate it to something like the difference between a family car and a sports car. Hostess and Little Debbie is like cheap snack indulgence and if I had to rate quality it would be starting at the lowest hostess, little debbies, entenmann's. Hostess actually went out of business at one point and then came back they also make Twinkie however they aren't the same as they used to be. And unfortunately Hostess is the mostly chemical. But all that aside when you have cravings it's good that they're still there because when they Hostess disappeared they were missed by lots of people. And yes applesauce is Apple puree without peel it's either purely puree or sometimes spices are added like cinnamon. And Dr pepper may or may not be cherry I actually believe it to be closer to prune but an interesting fact Dr pepper is made out of 23 flavors and is different for everyone. And you're totally missing out with the chocolate-covered cherries the cordial because as Brands go Cella's and Queen Anne's, Brachs Cherry Cordial vary wildly. I absolutely urge you to try Brachs. But I absolutely can't remember which is better Queen Anne's or Brachs!

I was today years old when I realized that applesauce being a snack isn't a thing in the UK. Also, I've bought a few American snacks I hadn't tried before after watching you both try them in your vids and liking them.
The marshmallow puffs you can get them like you have them filled with chocolate but they also have them filled and chocolate dusted and also one whose inside is cookies and cream.
Quaker Oats is in my Hometown of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and what’s neat is you can tell when they are making cereal especially captain crunch, the smell is throughout the whole city…fun fact, Cedar Rapids is the 2nd largest city in Iowa, Des Moines, which is the capital and the largest city is where I live now!
Alex, you do understand that there was a Queen Anne of Great Britain. She was a famous British monarch (1702-1714) there is even a movie about her: The Favourite 2018 staring Olivia Colman, Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz. 😀 Queen Anne Cherry Cordials are always available at my local 99 Cent store. That was a good box from Katie, a fellow North Carolinian. I work close to Raleigh, named after Sir Walter Raleigh. I am drinking a Cheerwine right now. It's always in the fridge. It's more cherry soda with a little Coca-Cola whereas Cherry Coke is more Coca-Cola with a little cherry. I prefer Cheerwine cause I like cherries. Speaking of which, chocolate covered cherries are one if my favs. I've never had oatmeal. I grew up in a household where breakfast was eggs, bacon or sausage and if course grits. Fruity Pebbles on top of vanilla frozen yogurt is amazing. Never as cereal for breakfast. I also like Froot Loops on top of cupcakes with vanilla icing.
Those little bites are really good and my son use to request tao packs in his lunch for school so I would have to buy twice the amount of boxes for a weeks worth of snacks for his lunch. I grew up on my Bubby’s cinnamon applesauce. I like the applesauce pouches. I have them with my lunches during the week since my day program for adults with Autism is still virtual. It’s part of a quick and easy lunch.

I prefer cold quick oats with cinnamon, raw 🍯 and 🍌 sliced in. I use milk as my base. The cordial cherries are my favorite but I don't actually like the maraschino cherry. I normally leave those behind and just eat the chocolate and cherry gel inside.
We got Quaker oatmeal here to in Canada never noticed a line on pack but never look either.☺Never seen the pancake here either. Katie did a great job choosing snacks.
I have a lambchops that my cat loves. I know it for dogs, but she enjoys tossing it around and chasing, but even better is when I toss it for her. I swear I get more exercise than she does.
Agreed. Theres something about Fruit Loops thats just overly artificial/chemically. I know they're both artificial, but Fruity Pebbles have an awesome flavor...& that's a really great idea with ice cream. I'll have to try that.
The applesauce that kids eat out of the squeeze pouches or in little cups (like the Snack packs), is exactly the same as what is served with pork. At least here in Manitoba. Unless it's homemade If you're concerned about Red 40, I just learned something that might interest you. Red 40 is also listed as allura on many packages, so be sure to look for that as well
Sunflower seed butter is how those of us with peanut and tree nut allergies in our families make "peanut butter" cookies or have those "peanut butter" cups. It's not the same, but as a baking ingredient, it works well. And we don't call it porridge, but oatmeal. You can make it from steelcut (Irish) oats, rolled, or instant (which are in those packets). I'm a long and low heat steelcut fan personally. My parents never got us the sugary cereals as kids like fruit loops or fruity pebbles and I don't like the chemically smell of them at all. My dad is a fan of Queen Anne's cordials at Christmas time.
I noticed that the expiration date had long passed on some items, I hope that didn't impact the flavor too much...not make you sick. Strawberry and Rhubarb is a well loved pie here in the U.S. especially in the South, but we here in the North (I'm in Michigan) love it too...so it should be yummy as a drink flavor. Yes, those marshmallows would be awesome in Hot Chocolate. ~Be Blessed
Yeah we had got a little behind with boxes as we were sent so many but everything tasted good as new. You really wouldn’t be able to tell! Things usually last a lot longer than the dates especially if it’s not fresh items. Thank you though for thinking of us! Yes they would really be delicious in hot chocolate yum!
That was so much fun. I live in Jacksonville, North Carolina. In New Bern, North Carolina, you can visit the original Pepsi fountain shop. My favorite Pepsi product is Pepsi Zero. I especially enjoy it on ice. What a great box. Can't wait for number 2 🌞

I never tried the Applesauce in a pouch, but I I think the company came up with that based off of those food pouches that toddlers eat. And I’ve noticed a lot of older adults eat packaged gelatin. Because of the brand Jello being a household name, everybody calls fruit gelatin Jello instead of saying the actual brand name or saying gelatin.

You can usually get them at a store called Walgreens. For context, Russell Stover is also considered drug store and can be found at Walgreens. I hate pancakes, don't even like homemade, so I can't help in that debate lol. It's been ages since I've had Fruity Pebbles, but I love Fruit Loops.

Team fruity pebbles all the way. I worked at Denny’s for 20 years and the ihop vs Denny’s debate always cracks me up. They have the same supplier so it’s all the same product for the most part with exception of restaurant specific items. #teamdennys. Denny’s offers bigger portions for cheaper prices. I bought the Fruity Pebbkes creamer and ice cream. I can't consume either because it hurts my chronic pain, but I did try them just once and it was worth it. But only once. The pain is horrible
Seeing Lamb Chop in the box you were sent really made me happy. Pepsi Max is my favourite sugar free soft drink too. But I’ve recently had stomach surgery and can’t drink it, maybe ever again. Here in Australia we have Pepsi Max syrup so you can make your own with a soda stream machine.

Also, if you have regular marshmallow, and butter, you can make pebbles cereal bars(like rice crispy treats) you can also make them out of cocoa pebbles or peanut butter pebbles. By the way, Dr Pepper is NOT cherry. Dr Pepper is Prune. That s why the old label had a clock on it. Dr pepper was used originally to help with constipation. 7up was used to treat nausea. Coke originaly contained cocaine and was for treating exhaustion and depression. They sold the syrup in pharmacies in medicine bottle. They started adding soda water to make them easier to take. You can still get 7up syrup at some pharmacies.
In France, there is an alcoholic cherry liqueur filled milk chocolate called Mon Chéri ( My Darling, when addressing a man). My dad might like the Queen Anne chocolates! I make my porridge ( gluten-free M & S packets) with water and add raisins plus brown sugar. I like it quite thick and stodgy!
I love fruity pebbles. It was my favorite cereal growing up although I was only allowed to have it more as a treat/snack. Not the healthiest breakfast haha!

I totally agree that the Entemann's mini bites are super, just a bit disappointing at how many, originally there were 6 then 5 now a sad 4! I just saw those marshmallows at Walmart the other day, there was a chocolate one with chocolate filling also. I ended up not getting because I wasn't sure and they were about $4.00 a package. Now I regret that decision! FYI for Kate, I have Crohn's Disease, in the IBS family, and used to drink only Diet Pepsi. I ended up at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston Massachusetts, which has one of top Crohn's Doctors. He was adamant to NOT consume the artificial sweeteners since they cause gut issues! Not sure what's in Pepsi Max, but since I stopped the artificial sweeteners my gut has been better.

The marshmallow puffs you can get them like you have them filled with chocolate but they also have them filled and chocolate dusted and also one whose inside is cookies and cream.

Quaker Oats is in my Hometown of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and what’s neat is you can tell when they are making cereal especially captain crunch, the smell is throughout the whole city…fun fact, Cedar Rapids is the 2nd largest city in Iowa, Des Moines, which is the capital and the largest city is where I live now!

That was a good box from Katie, a fellow North Carolinian. I work close to Raleigh, named after Sir Walter Raleigh. I am drinking a Cheerwine right now. It's always in the fridge. It's more cherry soda with a little Coca-Cola whereas Cherry Coke is more Coca-Cola with a little cherry. I prefer Cheerwine cause I like cherries. Speaking of which, chocolate covered cherries are one if my favs. I've never had oatmeal. I grew up in a household where breakfast was eggs, bacon or sausage and if course grits. Fruity Pebbles on top of vanilla frozen yogurt is amazing. Never as cereal for breakfast. I also like Froot Loops on top of cupcakes with vanilla icing.
Those little bites are really good and my son use to request tao packs in his lunch for school so I would have to buy twice the amount of boxes for a weeks worth of snacks for his lunch. The queen in Cherry cordials are the very best when eaten cold. He must put them in the refrigerator and try! These are my dad’s favorite and I buy him a box every year for Christmas. 🎄

I grew up on my Bubby’s cinnamon applesauce. I like the applesauce pouches. I have them with my lunches during the week since my day program for adults with Autism is still virtual. It’s part of a quick and easy lunch.

I prefer cold quick oats with cinnamon, raw 🍯 and 🍌 sliced in. I use milk as my base. The cordial cherries are my favorite but I don't actually like the maraschino cherry. I normally leave those behind and just eat the chocolate and cherry gel inside.
We got Quaker oatmeal here to in Canada never noticed a line on pack but never look either.☺Never seen the pancake here either. Katie did a great job choosing snacks.
I have a lambchops that my cat loves. I know it for dogs, but she enjoys tossing it around and chasing, but even better is when I toss it for her. I swear I get more exercise than she does.

Agreed. Theres something about Fruit Loops thats just overly artificial/chemically. I know they're both artificial, but Fruity Pebbles have an awesome flavor...& that's a really great idea with ice cream. I'll have to try that.
The applesauce that kids eat out of the squeeze pouches or in little cups (like the Snack packs), is exactly the same as what is served with pork. At least here in Manitoba. Unless it's homemade

Sunflower seed butter is how those of us with peanut and tree nut allergies in our families make "peanut butter" cookies or have those "peanut butter" cups. It's not the same, but as a baking ingredient, it works well.
And we don't call it porridge, but oatmeal. You can make it from steelcut (Irish) oats, rolled, or instant (which are in those packets). I'm a long and low heat steelcut fan personally.
My parents never got us the sugary cereals as kids like fruit loops or fruity pebbles and I don't like the chemically smell of them at all.
My dad is a fan of Queen Anne's cordials at Christmas time.
I noticed that the expiration date had long passed on some items, I hope that didn't impact the flavor too much...not make you sick. Strawberry and Rhubarb is a well loved pie here in the U.S. especially in the South, but we here in the North (I'm in Michigan) love it too...so it should be yummy as a drink flavor. Yes, those marshmallows would be awesome in Hot Chocolate. ~Be Blessed
Yeah we had got a little behind with boxes as we were sent so many but everything tasted good as new. You really wouldn’t be able to tell! Things usually last a lot longer than the dates especially if it’s not fresh items. Thank you though for thinking of us! Yes they would really be delicious in hot chocolate yum!

I never tried the Applesauce in a pouch, but I I think the company came up with that based off of those food pouches that toddlers eat. And I’ve noticed a lot of older adults eat packaged gelatin. Because of the brand Jello being a household name, everybody calls fruit gelatin Jello instead of saying the actual brand name or saying gelatin.

The Queen Anne cordial cherries are considered drug store, not high end here. You can usually get them at a store called Walgreens. For context, Russell Stover is also considered drug store and can be found at Walgreens.
I hate pancakes, don't even like homemade, so I can't help in that debate lol.

My family eats applesauce with brown sugar and spiced pork chops. I think it’s a pretty common thing to do. You totally got that it was supposed to go with pork!
Team fruity pebbles all the way. I worked at Denny’s for 20 years and the ihop vs Denny’s debate always cracks me up. They have the same supplier so it’s all the same product for the most part with exception of restaurant specific items. #teamdennys. Denny’s offers bigger portions for cheaper prices. I bought the Fruity Pebbkes creamer and ice cream. I can't consume either because it hurts my chronic pain, but I did try them just once and it was worth it. But only once. The pain is horrible
Seeing Lamb Chop in the box you were sent really made me happy. They make an oreo version of the stuffed marshmallows 🤤🤤🤤🤤 so yummy. Its filled with a chunk of mashed up OREO but it's mainly cream.

Pepsi Max is my favourite sugar free soft drink too. But I’ve recently had stomach surgery and can’t drink it, maybe ever again. Here in Australia we have Pepsi Max syrup so you can make your own with a soda stream machine.
We do get Pineapple Fanta soda in the states and it's *so* good! Reminds me a bit of a Dole Whip from Disney.

Also, if you have regular marshmallow, and butter, you can make pebbles cereal bars(like rice crispy treats) you can also make them out of cocoa pebbles or peanut butter pebbles. By the way, Dr Pepper is NOT cherry. Dr Pepper is Prune. That s why the old label had a clock on it. Dr pepper was used originally to help with constipation. 7up was used to treat nausea. Coke originaly contained cocaine and was for treating exhaustion and depression. They sold the syrup in pharmacies in medicine bottle. They started adding soda water to make them easier to take. You can still get 7up syrup at some pharmacies.

In France, there is an alcoholic cherry liqueur filled milk chocolate called Mon Chéri ( My Darling, when addressing a man). My dad might like the Queen Anne chocolates! I make my porridge ( gluten-free M & S packets) with water and add raisins plus brown sugar. I like it quite thick and stodgy!

I totally agree that the Entemann's mini bites are super, just a bit disappointing at how many, originally there were 6 then 5 now a sad 4! I just saw those marshmallows at Walmart the other day, there was a chocolate one with chocolate filling also. I ended up not getting because I wasn't sure and they were about $4.00 a package. Now I regret that decision! FYI for Kate, I have Crohn's Disease, in the IBS family, and used to drink only Diet Pepsi. I ended up at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston Massachusetts, which has one of top Crohn's Doctors. He was adamant to NOT consume the artificial sweeteners since they cause gut issues! Not sure what's in Pepsi Max, but since I stopped the artificial sweeteners my gut has been better.
