I'm here on your channel Lina to enjoy this video but above all to thank you for your great work in this 2022, like 14. I wish you that the new year can bring you joy, happiness and serenity! Happy 2023 from Italy!
Yes and I quite like it. It feels so serene. I love my garden back in WA obviously but compared to this, mine looks a little busy. My gardening style is dense planting while my father-in-law likes to space things out, each charming in their own way I think.
Hi Lina. You’ll be happy to know there are succulents that are perennials & can be grown outdoors. I have some as ground covers in my yard. Others in containers. My favorite is lemon coral sedums.
Oh? That’s good to know! That’s my plan this coming season. I wanna jump into the world of succulents. Will probably spend a lot of time browsing the different types and talking to anyone I run into about them if they can spare the time to educate me. Oh I have 2 sedum plants too out in the garden right now. I don’t remember the variety but they’re dark purple and are perennial, come back very reliably every year and grow like a very small shrub. I’ve always enjoyed their appearance and growth habit but I was never sure why until I saw my father-in-law’s succulent collection. I have a crush on succulents! There’s such charm to these plants.
Hi, I think Bloodgood Japanese Maple trees can only be grown up to zone 8 or maybe 9, although I’m no too sure about that. Southern California might be too warm for these guys to survive. If I ever moved to this area, I’d probably fill my yard with citrus fruit trees like lemons, limes, and oranges as I love them and use them a lot in my cooking 😊

Wow it’s beautiful almost like a desert theme. My husband has something going like that to just green.

Thank you!
if you moved to this spot would your Japanese maple survive if you took it with you?
