Thanks, learn more every time I watch, I did not realize you had to spray ahead of the harvest crew, and 9 + mph is bookin right along, appreciate the update and I am learning the more I watch, finding it interesting.
Does anyone’s row track actually work? 😂mine works when it wants to but mostly not and when I say something about it to the service manager at the John Deere shop, he just says “ huh…” and shrugs . I doubt I could hold it on the row going as fast as you guys are.
It's an eyeball game. One down fall to running basket strippers vs a baler is that there is more loses due to the handling of it. You have to keep in mind, cotton is sold by the pound & that's pure lent. The cotton you see blowing around still has burrs and seed in it so it's only about 30% cotton lent. Sometimes a massive pile might not net out much money vs the labor to pick it up. We still try to clean up as much as we can. Thanks for watching!
I love how connected you are to nature and the land
Thanks. I eat dirt all day.

Yes it takes two trips spraying prior to harvesting. Once it freezes we won’t have to spray anymore. I’m glad you are enjoying the videos!
great video enjoyed Carey yo do a great job explaining how every thing works be safe God bless you and your crew.

Mine works in my stripper but the other two don't. It drives great until about 5 mph, after that its "good luck".
Where exactly are you located? We farm in the Odonell area
There seems to be an awful lot of cotton on the ground etc during the harvesting/dumping process. What % is acceptable?

@@wildwestfarmer Would you estimate it would take 100 acres if picked up by hand to make a bale or possibly 200 acres?
What spacing are yall on
Do you all farm south of idalu or north
What's it picking/stripping per acre?
It’s not stripping much at all. Each field varies
