you should have said poggy 2 and jonas 1. when you look at the times they have competed in 22 and 23 jonas has come out on top everytime, both overall, but also in the mountains, pog have never really dropped him, the max he have taken on him was like 30 sec, but vingegaard on the otherhand, the max he took on pog was 5 min and a half minute!! it is i crime to say that pog is a better climber than vingegaard, he aint, and that is also the reason why vingegaard have won the last 2 tours, cus he is the better climber. Pog is better all around, but not the better climber.
In ‘22 it took an entire team to attack and counter attack one rider to finally defeat him. In ‘23 Pog had less than 2 weeks out of a cast to prepare for the tour. Even so, he finished 2nd both years and even dropped Jonas earlier in the tour. Mano a Mano, Pog is the stronger rider. But Jonas is certainly gaining confidence and starting to show his hold his ground alone. ‘24 will be an exciting 4 way battle but I think Pog will come out on top if he can improve his TT skills.
@@BenchRacer Cringe. Maybe the rest before the Tour de France helped Pogacar. His numbers were better than ever. Vingegaard is not only the best climber in the world, he is also a natural climber. Look at his body type compared to Pogacar. Saying Pogacar is a better climber after losing Tour de France 2 times in a row is just cringe and shows nobody should take you seriously.
@@epiccyclists Vingo for sure. What he did to Pogi this tour was nuts. Before the tour I for sure thought Pogacar had his number but that performance blew everything I thought out of the water.
Seems like you’re referring to current climbers. No Colombians, Pantani? Besides this, I don’t consider Remco a top climber, strong climber yes, but not on the top 8. He’s consistently been dropped on the hard climbs this year. Now do a series of top TT riders and Remco belongs there.
@@epiccyclists that’s a tough one. One on one, Pog has always been undefeatable when on form. But where Jonas lacks the punch, he can hold a faster pace longer. Same for Sepp. I’d rate those 3 as the top climbers, with any one of them able to beat the others on their good days.
Monuments are better tests for solo performance than grand tours. Jumbo Visma is easily the best team but Pogacar is easily the best cyclist. I'd actually take Remco over Jonas if I was building a team for his ability to drive the pace on the front in the style of Van Aert. Super Team: Leader: Poggy. Doms: Yates, Kuss, Mcnulty, Kamna. Rouleurs/Climbers/Stagetakers: Remco, Hindley and Wout.
Both Carapaz and Quintana seem to have lost their form. It’s understandable given their years spent in the peloton. But I’m surprised Quintana wasn’t mentioned in the current greats but Remco was.
Huh? Jonas is widely recognized as the best climber in cycling right now. He’s proven that AGAINST Tadej, dropping him in climbs over and over.
The order is simply our opinion. You are the one who has to vote for the best. Thank you

Thank you very much for your vote and your analysis. This year Pogacar was not in his prime because of the accident in Liège. We'll see in 2024.

Vingegård wins when its getting hard in week 3 , poggi needs at least 2 minuts before week 3 , and that is maybe not even enough
1. Vingegård
2. Pogacar
3 Roglic
4. Sepp Kuss
Are the best climbers right know, but i may be biased because i mainly follow the grandtours
TaPo - the all around best.
Thanks for your vote
Of active riders
I would argue that Adam Yates is the best climber. If we do a 50k climbing TT, Adam wins it EVERYTIME!
I say vingegard
Thnaks for vote.
Pogi is the best. He doesn't have the JV team back up and he is not just grand tour rider
Mario Cippolini would’ve been the best climber of all time if he would’ve been able to wear one of his 750 suits while riding.
hahaha very true. Your favorite climber?. Thanks

Pogi the king💪💪💪💪💪😤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I think Vinge is slidely better than pogy on long climbs
But pogacar is better all rounded player, he's better in everything else

Pogi

Jonas Vingegaard better climber than Tadej Pogacar
Thanks
The TDF climbing stage results DEFINITELY agree with you.

I mean this is simply not true, they are two different types of races and Jonas is the better pure climber while Pogi is the better all round cyclist

My choice is Richard Carapaz...the best climber of cycling history right now.
