Natalia I want to thank you for producing these videos. I have just completed quilting a 90 x 90 inch quilt using you hints and tips...I watch your sessions..think ohh that will look great on my quilt then tear out to my machine and add a different ruler work to my quilt...I am so pleased with it as this is the first LARGE quilt that is what we call 'custom' quilted on my long arm...thank you..thank you...thank you
Thank you as always for your video. Planning your ruler movement across quilt has been hard for me to grasp. Watching you work will really help me wit repeated thread build up.
Another great video. I enjoy your book and trying our some of your ideas. I admit this quilt top has been a ufo fabric collection for a few years. Glad to have some quilting ideas for it if I get around to it one of these days.
This is making me want to be more adventurous in my quilting. I love the backing newspaper fabric, any idea what brand it is. Jodie Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you for these videos. I am learning a lot. I would like to ask about the camera you are using and the way it is attached to the longarm. I tried different ways but still did not find the best way to hang my iphone for filming. thanks.
Is this a client quilt? I love all the straight lines your doing on this. Lots of texture on solid fabrics. I do not know where all your ideas come from. Can't keep them all sorted in my mind, or retrieve them when I want to. Lol..
It looks like beginning around 5:44 that your top piece is already sewn around the outside onto your batting and maybe the back piece (I can't tell) before you started quilting the top? Is that what I am seeing? I'm sorry I am new to making quilts and I have just finished my quilt top and back and need to start quilting the top now. And I am looking at all the different way's it is done. It looks like you have sewn it onto the batting around the edge of the quilt maybe to keep it together? instead of leaving it open and having pens in it instead and then doing the quilting? Or am I completely wrong in what I am seeing?
Excellent! you don’t even have to play around to make sure each time your ruler is situated in the right place. And doing it to music you probably do a quilt a day. Lol. Hope the price of the rulers come down in price, About 2 will be my limit, tight budget.
Yes, I won't do any ruler work without one. I think mine is about 10" square, but check with your machine dealer, I'd use one that's created for your machine. :)
Just starting out looking for ideas and rulers. So far I like what I see.
The light yellow square with the woven look , very cool.
what you did in the rectangle pale yellow block absolutely blew my mind!
Wow! Who knew plain square and rectangle blocks could be so exciting and beautiful! Well worth the time and great ideas! TFS
Thank you! 😘
I love what you did in the yellow rectangles-will be trying that !
thanks Natalia...I love the woven effect on the rectangle lemon blocks!
I love the quilting 😍 the quilting on the block ended very nice 🤩

What a great quilt todo ruler work practice! Is there a pattern for it?

It is a client quilt! I actually show a lot of the designs that I often quilt in my machine quilting books. Make sure you check those out. :)
Got my ruler in the mail today.

What thread color are you using? It looks like it blends beautifully on both the white and brights!
My favorite color is #402, So Fine! by Superior Threads. :)

Do you use a ruler plate on your long arm and if so, what size do you prefer? I want to get one but am unsure of the size I really need. Thanks!

Thanks so much!
Do you have a ruler base on this machine?
do you draw up every plan you do on a quilt? there is no way you wing it?
It all depends on the quilt! Sometimes it's all planned sometimes not. I chat more about this over on Patreon. www.patreon.com/nataliabonner
