as a norwegian to people visiting norway. I would recommend that you travel to destinations outside of those typical tourist places. Norway is country where you pick a route and see what happens. When you land @ oslo airport Gardermoen, there are quite a few places very close to the airport that is recommended to visit. The area arround Oslo airport is very very old. They have found settlements that's close to 5000 years old. It was also a very busy viking trade hub. You have a viking burial mound. There's an ancient forrest very close to the airport, where there are flowers and stuff that is growing only there. The city closest to Oslo airport "Jessheim", it's name back in the viking age was Jesseimr. So you land at a pretty historic place, when you arrive at Oslo Airport Gardermoen. So when or if you are planning a trip to Norway. Just pick a route, you can't go wrong. You might end up some where, you didn't expect and it's just what you needed. Lofoten is pretty and stunning, but then again there might be a place that's equally stunning, because YOU picked it out. Norway is a country you travel here or there and you find YOUR stunning places.
I love this! I could not have put it any better myself. We were so happy to have been able to road trip around the southern part of the country. Some of the best places we stopped were off the normal path in glysedal and Kristiansand. Plus stopping in Hol at the cheese farm. Thank you for watching, I very much appreciate your comment. That makes it all worth it
When it comes to Sushi, most places don't follow Norwegian pricing as the owners are usually Foreigners and know that quality food can be reasonable and still be profitable if customers come back. So i would say it's because of their Asian backgrounds that Sushi is so often reasonable in Norway, which is one of the main reasons i go to sushi places once a week. Top tier food, Top tier people and reasonable pricing compared to so many other places with different foods
@@DoesntPayFullPriceBecause i am Norwegian and know that it's incredibly hard to buy wild salmon and it would be way too costly to sell for the price of the dish and because you can simply s that it's farmed by looking at it.The texture is quite different on farmed vs wild salmon.

Lol if you want cheap food in Norway, don’t go to generic tourist hot spots and restaurants, don’t go to our kiosks like 7/11, Narvesen and Deli Deluca, or the most expensive grocery stores… foreigners and tourists complains due to ignorance, yet they go to the most expensive places non a less. And I never understood those who travel to Europe to then only dine at Mc Donalds. Like really? Americans…
I agree with you. I was lucky enough to have a car and spend a lot of time outside of the major tourist locations. Most people however, end up staying in the main tourist hub and never leave a few blocks radius. I never got it either. I only eat fast food when I'm traveling to locations that have unique things. Savory? From top of my head: velsmakende, smakfull; appetittvekkende, delikat, fristende, god, deilig,
@TH-cam_Stole_My_Handle_Too thank you!
All those are synonyms for delicious though.
We really don't have an umbrella term for salty/spicy/meaty/smoky/umami foods.
Hearing Americans say that the sausage is to large is like hearing Pope Benedict XVI saying his pope outfit is too flamboyant.
Lol
Very happy to see you visiting my home town of Holmestrand, and Fuku Sushi! Regular there :D
Thought I recognized the street👍
I wish I had some more time there! The sushi was fantastic though.
One hundred crowns for a single reindeer hotdog in Bergen?! Yikes, and I thought Tromsø's fourty-nine crowns for reindeer hotdog was expensive :O
Primo tourist pricing lol

The lompe is a cake made of potatos mostly and some flour :)
