I just want to thank Trump for getting me to look at the cards as individual value as opposed to what's class-based and synergizes best in Arena. Managed a decent Shaman run because of it.
Talks about his new card ranking list... Me: I should really start using his list, I wonder where I can find it. Trump: Where can you find the list? Me: That's was handy Trump: It's not out yet. Me: Fuck.
I had one draft once where I got 4 deadly poisons and a questing adventurer. I played questing adventurer and all 4 poisons and hit for 9 damage. Won in 2 turns afterward.
Brawl is SOOOOOOOO good. I mean a rogue pays 5 mana for assasinate which is guaranteed removal of 1 creature. A warrior pays 5 for brawl which guarantees 1 and can get way more. Its weird that you dont like that card. You say bloodlust is bad because it is horrible if you are behind, if that is the case then brawl should be very high in your value list.
I think the reason he doesn't like brawl is because it CAN fuck you real good if the minion that's left is a strong one for the enemy. It's not a good reason to dislike it but it's a reason.
FiftyFootMidget It's also effectively a dead draw if you're ahead on minions. It's a good card, but it's really situational, as compared to other cards like Consecrate and Flamestrike with no real downside.
Cronocke Brawl + Big game hunter is a combo that effectively can get rid of an enemy board. You don't have to worry about that big minion that might not die. However it tends to work best with spell heavy warriors since you will have less board presence in form of minions. EDIT: Spelling.
AnAccountWithaName And that's precisely why it's not good in Arena - minions are generally better than spells, and as great as it is when you're facing a large enemy board and have nothing on your side, it does nothing for you when the scales are even, or when you have anything you don't want to lose on the board. And I didn't even mention "that big minion" - whatever minion left behind, regardless of size, still has to be dealt with somehow. Unless you really get lucky and it's a Wisp or silenced Target Dummy or something.
Well I guess it is an video of an arena run, so my logic is perhaps flawed. But I was thinking more in terms of constructed play. I understand relying on combos in arena is a no go. Since the chances of getting the cards you need are, lets call it. Not optimal.
I'm amazed to see that the great and powerful Trump would make such simple mistakes as taking 3 more damage than necessary, and not notice in hindsight. 47:48
It would be kinda neat to see you play a paladin deck again. I just had a nasty 0-3 with paladin would be helpful to see how it's meant to be done. Had a molten giant in the deck, top decking against a priest and he pulls thoughtsteal. I had about 5 health, guess what he steals? I swear taking that thing was a mistake. Played the molten giant in an earlier game against another pally but by the time I can play with a life total that small it's likely the board is already lost. :/ Also earlier playing against a mage, she pulls out a secret I hit her with a minion so I know it's not vaporise or ice barrier. But i have a worgen and gurubashi berzerker in hand with 8 mana. I needed more cards and there was no way i'm giving a mage either of those minions if it was mirror entity. Handily i have lay on hands. Counterspell. I knew there was a risk of it but should I have just not done anything and hoped for a smaller card next turn? Even If I did wait, without pulling a smaller spell/minion to burn (which i didn't have that many of by that time) the dilemma would just be delayed. From there I lost board control and got pummeled. It's not like I can't do well, I got 10-3 as mage and 9-3 as a shaman not long ago. Though i've only done about 13 arena runs so far, on average getting 4-3 results.
paladin works really well in arena for me.. the worst result i ever got with him was 7 - 3, i usually do better than that. mage however doesn't work for me at all.. the highest i ever got was 6 - 3. i know: that's bizarre and i don't even understand it.. but for some reason i feel more comfortable when i play the paladin.
if you got to a point where the mage had board and card advantage on you the lay on hands getting counterspelled might have been devastating but not the key point in the game if you got behind on cards generaly thats because something went wrong earlier it is really as simple as that also personally i find molten giant pretty bad in a paladin deck would pick many epics over it but i will assume you got worse picks basic tips value 4s somewhat less value 2s very slightly less but higher then if you where a shaman or mage don't pick to many buffs argent protecter almost doesn't count as a 2 drop minions on the board is alot more important then for a mage put more effort into avoiding aoe if possible and dont rush out your guys to quickly in the late game summoning a 1/1 over playing a 3/2 is often better even
I get the opposite luck xD Vs mage im dead next turn as a priest at about 5 HP, he has board-control. (we are both fatigued) He plays Gelbin and what do ya know? He summons the invention that draws him 3 cards at the start of his turn. All I had to do was end my turn and win xD
Ricardo Jorge ...how to edit it in? I believe it's specifically done in After Affects, but Sony Vegas, Premier, etc. should also be capable. I don't believe there are actually any good freeware video editing software, so it'll either be pirating, having access to some sort of discount (free version for film students, etc.), or forking up hundreds of dollars.
I seriously don't know how everyone has such good winrates.. I have a winrate of ~11% games in Arena but a winrate of 80% in constructed so I somewhat know how to draft decks and play cards... I really want to try Arena on NA servers since it obviously has more players.. maybe im just the unluckiest guy in history of this game
the draft was perfect or maybe 1-2 cards debatable... first four games just flawless no missplay at all... but 5 onwards dude wtf are some of these plays? those were so bad so often wtf. You made it to 9 wins because the deck carried mad time. such shi** plays i cant fathom it.
brawl and twisting nether are annoying because they are impossible to play around other then holding some minions back just in case and you simply don't expect it in arena from the classes that play them since generally their aoe is weak but that is also the answer to why they don't ruin the game the classes that have them don't have good aoe and for general aoe spells if they weren't in the game aggro would be the only way to play
It punishes people that overwhelms boards and it makes you think. They're annoying, but easy to play around if you don't try to play all your minions just because you can. It requires you to think, and the fact is is that a lot of people don't think and decide to play all their cards cause they got the mana, and then they get punished for it. Instead of saying "Hey, this class has a means of destroying my whole board, maybe I shouldn't put a lot of cards on it," people instead complain that a card game needs you to be smart and realize when to take risks, and when not to.
I just want to thank Trump for getting me to look at the cards as individual value as opposed to what's class-based and synergizes best in Arena. Managed a decent Shaman run because of it.
Same, I managed a 12 win arena run because of him!

Trump: Where can you find the list?
Me: That's was handy

That triple eviscerate was gross, bet that mage went straight to the forums to qq.
"You know nothing of how to ooze sir" 14:03 haha
I had one draft once where I got 4 deadly poisons and a questing adventurer. I played questing adventurer and all 4 poisons and hit for 9 damage. Won in 2 turns afterward.
once boosted my adventurer up to 18 dmg till the end of the round. badass card.
DatVocals! Dude, i use a rogue deck where you can get a adventurer and van clef to do more then 47 damage in one turn..
your move
DatVocals! Attacked for game with a 23/22 acidic swamp ooze.
i once played a priest deck with an oasis snapjaw, doubled it's health twice, added +6 health, various buffs later it was 50/45
***** yeah
The triple eviscerate play was insane.
He said and I quote "I would love to see a warrior as the final boss"
Oh the irony
Brawl is SOOOOOOOO good. I mean a rogue pays 5 mana for assasinate which is guaranteed removal of 1 creature. A warrior pays 5 for brawl which guarantees 1 and can get way more. At the last game there were so many weapons, yet so few oozes. RIP.
That was such a satisfying finish to the Mage in the 7th game. Mage gets killed by direct damage spam.. sweet, sweet justice...
The mad bomber at 6:25 was like a flame imp for 2
"This is Oozeville, scrub!"
gj dude you are getting better and better at editing videos, keep up the good work
I'm amazed to see that the great and powerful Trump would make such simple mistakes as taking 3 more damage than necessary, and not notice in hindsight. 47:48
He didn't make a mistake... See it again.
lol you think you're good.
hahaha spot the n00b
+NightChime he couldn't have backstabbed the 1-4 it was already damaged scrub
jake rice So glad to have educated 1.3 years-in-the-past me.
#37 "suirvive" at the croc
Mage got outmaged.
that deck OOZED with 2s
He turned down spiteful smith for a backstab... just saying
That's a good point, as if it were to be combo'd with the Blade Flurry then it would have been very good for board clear!
where i can find your ranking of the cards?
You predicted 9 wins nice one
Finally our ooze lord has arrived!!!!
That triple eviscerate doe!
That deck was oozing with value.
So funny how you call that one card "Get Down", and e other bandit one the "Scrub" and someother things I do aswell, genuinly.
Nice pun at 5:09 :-D
Question: Isn't backstab can still be used on a un-shielded argent commander?
Oh lord that triple eviserate lol
Happy new year Trump

Counterspell.
I knew there was a risk of it but should I have just not done anything and hoped for a smaller card next turn? Even If I did wait, without pulling a smaller spell/minion to burn (which i didn't have that many of by that time) the dilemma would just be delayed.

ZyzztheticsForever
show off :P my best result ever was a 4-3 i think(dont remember class)
ZyzztheticsForever I just 0-3 most of the time if I don't play paladin q_q
if you got to a point where the mage had board and card advantage on you the lay on hands getting counterspelled might have been devastating but not the key point in the game
if you got behind on cards generaly thats because something went wrong earlier it is really as simple as that
also personally i find molten giant pretty bad in a paladin deck would pick many epics over it but i will assume you got worse picks
basic tips
value 4s somewhat less
value 2s very slightly less but higher then if you where a shaman or mage
don't pick to many buffs
argent protecter almost doesn't count as a 2 drop
minions on the board is alot more important then for a mage put more effort into avoiding aoe if possible and dont rush out your guys to quickly
in the late game summoning a 1/1 over playing a 3/2 is often better even

For some reason I enjoy stacking good/decent class card as such I drafted a paladin with 6 consecrations
Trump. there is a mistake at your List . # 22 "Five mana for 5/4" but the image says 4 Mana.
The irony that was that last game.
GG RNG, GG
did an arena run with rogue today... wish i had as good a draft as this...
I once had 6 Senjin Shieldmasta's and another time 7 Harvest Golems.....
HAPPY NEW YEAR! IN 2014 I WANT TO SEE TRUMP IN RANKED!
Spellpower buffs Blade Flurry, even if it doesn't say it in the text.
Can someone give me the list of cards, he mentioned in the beggining?
Where can I find the list? "It's not out yet" doh
At 52 minutes how did he win with a 1 damage dagger but his blade flurry did 2 damage to everything ?
where is this list
The list is out.Just google it or go to this link ihearthu.com/trumps-arena-card-rankings/
Doni Mount That's the old list before the patch.
Can you give us the new list in a link like in the next vid?
Why Tazdingo over Spellbreaker?
that list that he had at the left of the screen is an addon or what ??
anyone have the link to the list?
youre on the internet, use google to find the list
Gorilla Munch ahh google "trumps list" brings up in the top 3

Dat triple eviscerate
OOZE IT OR LOSE IT.
Love the green
Where can we get the deck tracker he uses?
1:00:25
"Of brawl I fear not" -_-
u had lethal with the gnomish inventor in the first game
Can anyone tell me what Dark Iron Dwarf says when he's played?
Checked hearthhead and "Ye call that a weapon?, heh"
Thanks, I tried every search I could think of in google and got nothing. haha
Sarojin
It surprises me you couldn't hear what he said. Maybe ive just grown accustomed to bogus Scottish accents.
IQequalZero
It was mainly the Ye call part that threw me off. I'm absolutely dumb when it comes to deciphering accents and slurred words. lol
Trump do you not know Blade Flurry works with spell damage?
¿15:57 did you just created a 3/2 dagger with your hero power?
Weapon Smith gives your weapon +2 attack
THE OOZELORD IS LOVE
THE OOZELORD IS LIFE
I SPREAD MY ASS CHEEKS FOR THE OOZELORD
you had one job!
I suddenly started to like rogue :P
Can someone tell me how can I have that thing on the left side?
It's done through editing.
edit in post :P
Right but where can I get that? Is it some program?
Ricardo Jorge
...how to edit it in? I believe it's specifically done in After Affects, but Sony Vegas, Premier, etc. should also be capable. I don't believe there are actually any good freeware video editing software, so it'll either be pirating, having access to some sort of discount (free version for film students, etc.), or forking up hundreds of dollars.
the lucky silencer
Well you can't go wrong with oozes I guess?
damn life is ez when u get cards like that holy moooly!
DAT WARRIOR RNG

the draft was perfect or maybe 1-2 cards debatable... first four games just flawless no missplay at all... but 5 onwards dude wtf are some of these plays?
those were so bad so often wtf. You made it to 9 wins because the deck carried mad time. such shi** plays i cant fathom it.
number 1 most stupid game 2013/14
I apologise but you are not quite as good as Ribbo from Caravel Gaming, in my opinion.
I hate cards like brawl and board wipes. Ruin the game in my opinion.
brawl and twisting nether are annoying because they are impossible to play around other then holding some minions back just in case
