Hey man, great tips! I'm really glad I discovered your channel. Just a quick question: am I right to think that it should be okay to use the patterns that come with the drum kits in my songs? For the most part I would be editing them, of course, according to the needs of the song... are they just like loops, that you can use, if you have the Maschine, Komplete, etc?
Thank you for staying! Yes, those loops for the drum kits are usually royalty free. I would encourage you to check any user license or EULA to know your boundaries, and you should be good.
I tried and thought I had succeeded with routing the MIDI outputs on the sound channel to another sound pad, but Maschine only takes the MIDI from itself and doesn't process the MIDI that Scaler outputs, so it looks like you can't directly route the MIDI out of scaler. Even the drag and drop method seemed broken for Maschine, because each chord dragged in replaces the whole content and you can't build a progression. I'm a newb though so I easily could have missed something. Maschine as a DAW really holds Scaler back, but you could always use Maschine as VST and route the MIDI in a bigger DAW like FL or, my preference, Bitwig.
@@ZETONEproductions I thought you were right, tried to prove you wrong, ended up failing and confirming that you're right. If we ever get a Maschine 3.0 I bet Scaler will be the reason they fix that if we get VST-sourced MIDI routing as a feature.
Biggups
Great tips.. thank you! The chopping audio to a new group is very helpful.
Glad it can help!
Very informative. Thank you sir!!
No doubt my guy!
Oooh using clips for drum fills!! Thanks for that tip! 💪🏿🙌🏿
I tend to use it for SFX sometimes.
No doubt bro! That's another cool use for it!
Excellent tips! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Appreciate you! 🙏🏾

Do you know how to route midi from scaler 2 into another VST in Maschine?
External or internal MIDI
Don’t think it’s possible to do that in machine ..

Can you do that on a Mac as well?
Yes sir!
Why do you resample the drum loopinternally , as opposed to just chopping it up? I'm sure I'm missing something.
This was showing the principle of the tip, it wasn't showing how far to take it since this wasn't a video solely focusing on that.
