I have this theory that the Amatsu we fought in Portable 3rd was younger than the one in Sunbreak. Why? Three reasons: 1. The size difference. P3rd's Amatsu appears to be about the size of a large truck. Sunbreak's is the size of a house! If dragons, like crocodiles, never stop growing throughout their life, then the latter game's specimen must be a mature adult, or even ancient. 2. The face tendrils that look like a mustache. P3rd's Amatsu had a shorter and less flexible mustache than Sunbreak's. The length of this may even serve as a show of virility for when the time comes for Amatsus to mate. 3. The abilities. Sunbreak's Amatsu has power over lightning as well as wind and water, while P3rd's does not. Dragons developing new abilities as they age is a common trope. Though it doesn't quite explain Frontier's G-Rank Amatsu...
You know, the chase theme could work. Like, not fighting Amatsu in a locale, but in a special arena. Like, imagine fighting Amatsu in the Ruined Pinnacle, and dealing enough damage to it, Amatsu retreats to another mountain, and a new path way opens up, and you have to use your wire bugs or palamute to chase it down. That sounds like it would be cool.
My friends are Longsword gods and have long awaited this fight because they think of it as like “it’s just like an ancient Samurai fantasy, taking down a majestic beast with nothing but your will and sword” I approve

I JUST REALIZED, just finished TU4 of rise (still need to go back at farming MR and Anomally tho) and i just realized this fan theme has a letmotiff for the quest clear/yukumo village in phase 3. Brilliant, and i love it
Yes, for reference the amatsumagatsuchi, is a dragon of storm, in which most of the time, similar to rayquaza and japanese green dragons that controls storms or wind in anime or manga(kaidou and the others) he is based off the azure-green dragon of the east which rules the spring season and yes, one of his main abilities is storm and tempest manipulation
My Gog do those Chinese/Japanese instruments go hard! And I love how throughout all 3 phases, it starts off being all slow and somewhat calm, then becomes slightly more tensive in phase 2, and it finally goes all out in the final phase, as Amatsu unleashes its full power.
The third phase is amazing. Nice cover. EDIT: Especially around 10:44 you can hear that the fight will ramp up. Amatsu just did its ultimate attack. HP Around 30%. It goes into a state of madness where it fights to the death. Just amazing
Awesome remix as usual! I sincerely hope we do get Amatsu in Sunbreak, probably one of my favorite elder fights in GU. I like the sort of gothic and medieval feel that Sunbreak gave us, but wrapping up the game with a more Japanese styled monster would be a fitting end for Rise.
Man this sounds amazing! I would love to hear a world rendition of this theme and see what you think a mount theme for this guy would sound like. Can you imagine a cinematic mount scene for this particular monster? I'd probably cry seeing that in action xD

Its a really good three parter of songs. You made them really really well in my opinion. Although i think the last phase misses the bit of boom it had in the og version. I think its fitting that the first two phases are relatively calm, but the last phase should have more of a boom accent to represent the fury of the storm and the thunders. But nevertheless very very well made :).
Yeah, one thing I liked about Amatsu’s original second phase is that it showed how furious he was, you could feel the anger in the song. Accompanied by sky changing into a bright crimson red, and his crown glowing bright gold.
And I don't So far Sunbreak's remixes have been a huge letdown except Shagaru, Espinas and Astalos. I'm already prepared for another remix like Gore's just in case.
@@yurei4414 im in a 50/50 there, not al remixes have been good, like imo, rajangs would have been better whithout vocals, and the same goes for nargacuga, but others have been pretty good so far, like mizutsune, astalos, chaotic gore, shagaru, chameleos and kushala
@@CaffeineManu I'm speaking of Sunbreak specifically (IE the ones without vocals) Base Rise's for the most part are all pretty good for me. Nargacuga is kind of garbage and Rajang isn't really fitting (but sounds very nice) and Zinogre's vicals feel slapped on and personality lacking... But that's all I can say about them.

I feel like fugen would do a spelling mistake somewhere when this elder dragon comes I mean Amatsu just caused a bunch of thunder puppies to become enraged when it took over their home.
Wayyy too calm, also you didnt keep some iconic instruments of the og theme. Phase 3 is more chill than most chase themes, it should be a climax. Also missed opportunity to introduce a choir into the theme, would be fitting considering we are talking about a monster described as heavenly or divine, or even seen as a deity by many. The music itself is good tho, I just dont think it is fitting.

Phase 3 is exclusive to monster hunter frontier, it turns orange. Idk if it uses Dragon element though
