Yeah, thats bs. YOUR product remains static, and any such 'improvements' as they are will be released in the next, latest and greatest pod 5, 6, 7!, etc, which you will have to purchase to enjoy. We use to call that R&D, back in my days, hahaha.
Thanks for the review! Many people are complaining that without AC on top of having the 8sleep, the 8sleep acts like a heat generator and the bedroom gets quite hot. Seems this got worse with the pod4 because it's cooling more. Do you have an AC? Did you notice this effect? How do you find the cooling compared to the pod3? Some people on reddit complained it was not homogeneous. Thx again!
Good questions. In my experience: Both give off heat from the fan area but not much. However if you have it on -10 on a really hot night, I think you may notice it. (I haven’t tested it) We have ours at around -5 for some of the night and haven’t noticed heat coming from the Pod 4. Yes, we have air con (only in the last couple of weeks) It’s normally on between 6-10pm to cool the room before bed and off while we are asleep. (This will change in height of summer) At 10pm the room is around 20c, we (mostly) sleep with the doors and windows closed and it’s normally around the same temp in the morning, The cooling on the Pod 4 does feel different to the Pod 3, but in a good way. Ie, more refined. I do go one temp less on the pod 4 than I used to on the Pod 3. Ie -5 instead of -4 for instance. Hope that helps!
Great review. I currently purchased and received a POD 3 and it seems great to me. The 4 certainly seems like a step up but probably not worth upgrading to since the POD 3 cools and heats as effectively. Would you agree that it’s not a large step up on the POD 4? Thanks Steve
Glad you find them useful! They are very easy to move, just: 1. Unplug the cover from the hub. 2. Drain the water from the cover (it comes with a drain tool) Then you’re good to go.
I tried last version and while its awesome for cooling I found it incredibly uncomfortable. I was quite a bit heavier then but I lose the comfort of the memory foam mattress I had. Bed was so much firmer.
I had both versions of the Pod 3. The first had a tight mattress encasement that you zipped the Pod 3 on to. This did firm up the mattress quite a bit. The second (later version) was more like a fitted sheet and much more comfortable and didn’t firm the bed up. The Pod 4, even better and I feel makes my mattress feel more luxurious without changing comfort.
Two questions for you, Steve! 1. did you not get shipped the "base" part that goes under the mattress and "gently" lifts the bed if you start snoring? And 2. is it noticeably quieter?
Its been really impressive. I’ll make a comparison review soon. Weirdly, I’ve gone a bit colder than the Pod3 and my wife a bit warmer??? Definitely quieter, you have to really listen to hear it. I might ask them if they can send a base. (They only seem to have Super Kings bases in the UK right now) Have a great weekend!
I mean pod 3 had Noctua fans. That's spending money on the best. Waiting on my pod4 right now. Be my first. The subscription model has me kinda disappointed.

The Pod 3 is excellent! I would but a Pod 4 if I we're buying today, but wouldnt upgrade a Pod 3 unless I wanted a second one.

You prolly spend more on junk like soda, coffee etc. this is an investment into your health some just don’t understand that :)

I set it up, vibration doesn’t work, calibration sensors don’t work and neither does any of the sleep tracking. Bed just cools and heats
