- I've been thinking about going lighter for a while now and finally decided to just go for it a few days ago. So here's how I do a full head of foils on myself to go from brown hair to blonde in one session the PROFESSIONAL way :) Enjoy!

They could, i have weak arms too, as long as they function you could, i bleached my hair and stood for 4 hours, my weak ass muscles hurt so much, but it’s worth it, it’s fun

This was super informative kinda makes me wanna do my hair but I already have bleached (Hella chunky) highlights that were supposed to be touched up/fixed last month so I don’t wanna fry my hair. Thank you! I felt the same way about cutting, but one day it just clicked. I'm still definitely a stronger colorist than cutter, and I think I just naturally always will be, but I'm more confident now with haircuts than I was. And I'm sure the same will happen for you with color! Just keep learning and practicing! :)

I’ve watched a zillion brunette to blonde at home videos and yours is hands done the best one. Finally something that makes sense in regards to the shadow root melt. Im happy to know I can blend the root colour in with the bottom blonde toner. I thought maybe I should do the
Shadow root colour correction after I bleach tone and blow dry. My
Roots are probably going to lighten in 3 different areas from underlying demarcation lines. anywwy, thank you!

Gurlllllll... I am addicted to your videos. Your are far best the best of the home coloring videos. I am sooooo going to do this. I just need the time. I gave allot of white mostly on the front half. What do you suggest. Do roots first. Then next day this. ??? I have everything here. Been coloring for years. I know I need a few low lights. On those out pieces I could ad a demi ???

Sam, thank you for this! I know my comment is a month late so it might get buried but I have some questions about your process.
What developer did you use the second time? Do you think it would have lightened enough the first time if you had used 10/30 vs. 6/30? Or do you think you could've just left it on longer?
My hair is very similar to yours.. I'm NL 5 and my grown out balayage looks like yours before. My virgin hair is thick and resistant so I usually need to go with a stronger developer, but I don't want to do too much damage. On the other hand, I really don't want to do it twice because my arms will fall off! It's so much easier doing a clients hair than your own!
Btw, your video with the one-step dryer inspired me to not only purchase a one-step for myself but also to cut off 10 inches of my hair. I've been following your channel since I started beauty school and I'm so thankful for all the relevant, professional advice you give. You're helping fledgling stylists everywhere 😊 Thank you!!

I have light brown hair that reflects pretty blonde/golden when the sun hits it. I did a little bleaching today just to lighten up the colour (30 vol for about 25 minutes to the ends + blended upward toward the root). It came out a wee bit yellow, obviously. Not anything too bad, but would love to be a brighter, more beige blonde. What would be a good toner to use? I think my blonde is a level 7 or 8. Should I use a level 6 on the root and 7 on the rest? Hey girl so school officially just got canceled for me for the rest of the time I would be in beauty school we really haven’t gotten to learn some of the state board stuff if you could do some of the state board cuts it would be so awesome I really understand the way you explain everything (we won’t be getting any online school it’s so hard)
