I actually think Crisis on Earth-X is pretty underrated. The thing I really like about it is that unlike all the others, it really feels like a movie. Every part has the same tone and feel, storylines are told throught the whole 4 parts (unlike other times where there is the main storyline and then each episode has storyline(s) that focus on the characters from the current show and those storylines end in those same episodes), and overall the stracture is so perfect and it's a shame no other crossover has ever done that (except for Crisis on Infinite Earths a little bit but still with flawes).
Crisis on Earth-X definitely deserves first or second. The only negative was the Olicity drama for me. Iris didn't annoy me because the crossover was based on the West-Allen wedding and so she did deserve some role to play in some events while the same can't be said for Felicity. It also was the crossover to best utilize the characters from all of the shows that a lot of other crossovers didn't get right.

Cameos were a major part of the reason that Crisis lost it's space for a more focused storyline. Especially in the second episode. I'm not saying I hated it,nice to pay homages to other franchises but why the hell would you make an episode which is fully contributed to drama and side missions rather than the actual story. Adding to that,the cameos were unimportant to what's actually going on in the main story of the crossover,almost every one of them. That's why it fell off flat for me in the first half. But I did enjoy the second half more because it was story focused.
I think I had the exact same problem, the whole plot of episode 2 was resolved at the beginning of 3, when Ray shows up with the tracking device (with pictures of everyone they were looking for!), so what was the point of the second episode? And in the third episode, everything about the story felt so jammed and hurry, that half of it could have been placed on episode 2, allowing episode 3 to breathe (and maybe I would feel something about Flash's death). But the first episode was awesome, except for the Supergirl drama... (the same drama that made hate Cisco in Invasion)
I think the only cameos that i disliked because imo they were filler, it was kevin conroy's batman and tom welling superman. I mean i didn't disliked them i actually really liked them but for the most part i feel like they waste a lot of time on that, specially kevin conroy. I understand why, with conroy it was to setup batwoman as the paragon of courage and welling to conclude his story, but i thinl they couls've done it in different ways

The only reason I don’t like crisis as much as others is for me it didn’t lead up to the hype. If they didn’t tell us about the cameos I would of enjoyed it much more. I’m just happy they didn’t spoiler Ezra’s flash at least. I really enjoyed part 4 and 5 tho. I wish more characters showed up in part 5 but I understand the budget problem. They could of saved money not doing beebo tho.

I didn't like Crisis on Infinite Earths I agree the consequences and changes are really entertaining but part 5 except the sara and barry moment is so shit, Oliver just died and they're fighting a giant Beebo and making terrible jokes and why is the anti-monitor alive, oliver died fighting him and recreated the universe but he didn't kill him and that final fight is pretty bullshit. Oliver's death in part 1 meant he basically wasn't there the whole crossover and his interaction with everyone else are my favourite part about crossovers yet he was barely there. Also the paragon hunting bit I didn't like.I only liked it after Earth-1 and the waverider get deleted.
It's not that they were expecting a movie budget my friend. But the fact that they teased some things that were going to appear in this cross over that never happened (Eobard Thawne for example) that's why people didn't really like it
The only thing I didn't like about Invasion was every episode felt more like an episode of its show rather than being completely connected like a film broken into parts.
I honestly hated COIE at first but the more that I looked back at it, the more I started to appreciate it. Sure it has a couple of flaws but I still think it was the best crossover by far.

I kinda wanted heroes join force and flash vs arrow tied but I did not tie so the big problem I have in flash vs arrow that in the comic captain boomerang is a flash and I hate in arrow that the flash only fought him once and arrow like 5 times
I love how season 3 of arrow and season 1 of flash always crossover with each other, you had to watch both series at the same time. I think it's a shame the shows became more separated, i miss that sparkle

6. Heroes Join Forces 5/10 (Felicity is just so annoying that it bogs down the crossover) 5. Crisis on Infinite Earths 6.5/10 (The first 3 episodes in particular were so filled with cameos that it felt like the writers lost focus on the story which should always be more important than the cameos. The last 2 episodes were quite a bit better since they were at least story focused but even when (spoiler alert) when they killed Oliver it didn’t feel as impactful as it should’ve since it felt like they wasted his character since he wasn’t very prominent in episodes 2 and 3. Also him just holding the anti monitor wasn’t as epic as it should’ve been and since it was just Barry and Sarah there at his sacrifice it didn’t feel super emotional. However I felt the next episode was more emotional and I liked it much more in the last 2 episodes but for me this was pretty disappointing) 4. Flash VS Arrow 8/10 (This is the one that started the yearly crossover which was so cool and this is just a purely fun crossover) 3. Invasion 8.5/10 (I really enjoyed this crossover since it’s so much fun but my problem with this one lies where the arrow episode feels so arrow centric that it takes me out of the crossover as I think it would’ve been better if it played as one long movie. That’s what brings down the crossover but other than that it’s a very good crossover) 2. Elseworlds 8.9/10 (Elseworlds was a super fun crossover, a fun setup for Crisis on Infinite Earths and it was just so much fun seeing Barry as Arrow and vise versa. Also seeing the Justice League was so cool. My only problem lies in where it’s super dumb how Oliver and Barry swapped identities. This professor was given so much power and all he does is swap Oliver and Barry which was super dumb which bogs down the crossover, but it was still really good) 1. Crisis on Earth X 9.5/10 (This is the way every crossover should be in my opinion as it’s emotional with a death that makes a lasting impact on the arrowverse, and most importantly it put the story before anything else. Also the villains were very good and I loved how this crossover played as 1 long movie which was awesome making this my favorite crossover)
Crisis was amazing! People need to remember these are TV shows! People are mad it wasn't movie quality or something. They did great considering how big the crossover was and how much it had to accomplish and fit in there. The worst episode of that crossover is 5 and it was still a good episode.
I don't really have a ranking, but crisis on infinite earths/earth x are hands down the best crossovers😔👏🏾 When Felicity got mad at Oliver for not telling her about a son he found out about an hour prior, I began to despise her character as well. Her character went from cute nerdy tech girl to bitchy annoying self centered bitch really quick. UGHHHH don't even get me STARTED on how much I hate IRIS I don't hate Mia, but her character is very unlikable, and reminds me of Oliver in earlier seasons of arrow.
What I really haed about Invasion was the Cisco and Barry drama. It was the same as Felicity and Oliver drama in Heroes Join Forces. Crisis on Earth X played down that drama so much us why I would put it ahead of these two.
Thinus Breedt barry barely wasn’t in part 1 and 2. Even part 3. And part 4 focused on oliver and even tho it felt like it, it didn’t have barry that much in it. They should’ve focused on him sacrifising himself to save all the other like the whole season focused on.

Bary meeting Bary in part 4 of Crisis on Infinite Earths was probably one of my favorite parts of that cross over. The two played really well off of each other and it was just a fun thing to watch even though it wasn't for very long.
I mostly agree with your list other than crisis on earth X would be my number one and invasion would be my number two with crisis on infinite earths coming in at number three then the rest of your list is pretty much the same as mine.
I agree where you ranked Crisis on Earth X, but I thought there were too many characters to have a good storyline. Notice this is the only crossover all the Legends are in.
I’m gonna give the #1 spot to Invasion due to consistency, Crisis on Infinite Earths & Elseworlds had really great aspects, but they were kind of all over the place in terms of quality

Also crisis on infinite earths is not a disappointment but it gets carried by the characters cameos like og Superman, lex Luther, Lucifer,green arrow 2046, and Mia queen and black lightning in their first crossover but it’s kinda a disappointment like anti monitor the main main villain only had 3 fights while one of them was okay and two were amazing and Ralph did nothing he’s a big character of flash and he basically did nothing he wasn’t even in the room where Barry was supposed to sacrifice himself also on that Barry doesn’t even come close to dying they could’ve made something like Barry saves earth 90 flash from dying but he vanishes and the melt down stops then they reveal speed force saved flash at the right moment so we have earth 90 and original flash together and the speed force could’ve came down in it’s true form as Barry’s mom but no we don’t deserve that either and we couldn’t even get flash the most powerful superhero(my opinion again) to square off against anti monitor or we could’ve got og Superman and to stay for the 5th part and they couldn’t get Batman either I mean bat women works too but with this many flaws we deserve Batman but we get his old version and they make one of the paragons Ryan Choi💀💀 bro they could’ve got some old dc character or an arrowverse character or a different wells something instead of a basic smart human i would rate this crossover a 9/10 it’s still good tbh does that make me stupid?
I don't think Oliver's death is as emotional as you say it is because once he already died,the sadness from the second time was already sucked away a little bit. Besides that,Tony Stark actually fought Thanos to his last breath and then snapped his fingers and sacrificed himself for the universe. Whereas,Oliver just held Anti-Monitor's hands and blew up the place. It doesn't make an emotional punch that strong for me. I know this is TV and Endgame has big budget writers but what I mean is,that fight didn't get me balling in tears,like "mmm" when Ironman died.
I judge these crossover by 1)number of charecters, 2)relevancy to main plot/flow, 3) impact on charecters moving forward. Given that, I rank CoEX as number 1(fluid continuous plot, character death, weddings), CoIE as number 2 (last episode felt disjointed and rushed), invasion as 3(supergirl felt stapled on as an afterthought with none of her side charecters), heroes unite as 4 (almost all charecters at the time, but it was immediately undone in favor of the legends show), elseworld as 5 (lots of charecters sidelined, legends completely excluded, each episode wanted to be it own thing: freakyFriday & nurfed amazo, batwoman, emperor superman, it just disjointed start to end), flash vs arrow as 6(like you said, just 2 cameos, not really a crossover).
Crisis on earth x takes second it has reverse flash best villain ever ( my opinion) earth x Kara and Oliver teaming with thawne and it’s the only 4 part crossover the final battle and second battle was very good and they had the best team up picture
I personally wouldn't put crisis on infinite earths at the first place because there are quite a few things I don't like about it, like how they treated kevin conroy and smallville's clark kent and the ending felt rushed and too easy, to me it depended way too much on the cameos to hold himself, I still like it but it has problems. My personnel favorite would probably be flash vs arrow or invasion

So I just finished crisis on infinite earths… and to say I’m disappointed is kind of an under statement. Coming off of Elseworlds and (my personal favourite) Earth X, this was just nothing really. It was messy, the only part I really enjoyed was episode 1, the anti moniter was no where near as scary as people told me he was. Oliver’s “ultimate battle” is literally him and some green dude standing there doing fuck all. He’s basically a god now, have them actually fight! Throw energy spheres, teleport around, throw punches and kicks while flying in the air! Something, but no. As a whole, I’d probably put it in the bottom, which sucks because it’s the second to last crossover before “airs my party, I’ll die if I want to.”

Crisis on Infinite Earths was the biggest crossover in the Arrowverse and it was good that made a big impact to the Arrowverse as a whole Best things - Part 1 ( except for Oliver's Death, him running to the demons should've been his last scene, then he comes back to part 3 as a moment of relief ), Part 3, Part 4 ( the best part in the crossover ), Black Lightning, Earth 90 Flash and his death, the first and last scene of Part 5 with no Anti-Monitor and his demons, ( Batman 89, Earth X, Earth 66, Lucifer, Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing, Stargirl, and Kingdom Come Superman are the best DC content and the best cameos ), Justice League being formed. Worst Things - Oliver's death in Part 1, Part 2, no Reverse Flash, Smallville cameo ( I don't like that he gave up his powers while Lex is still in power, so stupid for a really great show with only 4 great seasons, it should've showed him flying with him still having his powers until his earth is gone with him in it or have him join the team ), ( Birds of Prey, Titans, Green Lantern movie, and Gleek are the worst DC content and the worst cameos ), no other DC earths earths or cameos being in this ( they should've included more or the good and best DC shows and movies ), Anti-Monitor and his demons came back in part 5.

I do like Crisis on Earth-X more than Invasion and Elseworlds because their opponent was very formidable and acting is good, but I don't want was very a lot of Iris scene that wasn't necessary(not to mean to offend). Invasion was a kind of unstable because a lot of them was all talking Flashpoint; after I watched 100th episode of the Flash, I think twice that 100th episode of Arrow wasn't good enough. Finally Elseworlds was in the moderate maybe my third on my list, because it did have a good interpretation but in part three so much drama. Drama wasn't bad actually but this crossover, too excessive. Most especially the time Alex of Earth-1 talking to Kara some of them are nonsense. On the other hand, I like the part that is very hilarious with Barry and Oliver. However, the part of other Barry was kind of disappointing but thank Crisis on Infinite Earths, giving him an ending that is deserving. Those are my interpretation. I do like Crisis on Earth-X more than Invasion and Elseworlds.

Black Lion, although I do not agree with you putting it on 1st place, I do agree that the response to Crisis has been way too harsh. Like seriously, what were people expecting? Sure, it sucked that: some central characters didn't appear, that the crossover ignored some of its own set up, that the plot was quite weak (especially in Part 2) and that the Anti-Monitor was a bit lame. But from a general view, in hindsight, there was so many cool things they gave us and it really did feel a lot bigger due to all the cameos (even if the majority didn't add anything to the plot). I mean realistically, it is just a television crossover with not a huge budget, tons of buildup and anticipation to meet, and so many superheroes that it made Infinity War look small (from the number of comic heroes involved). There was no way they could ever satisfy everything. I still loved it. It's still N2 of my list. And people are just far too harsh on it, compared to what it accomplished.

The only reason I don’t like crisis as much as others is for me it didn’t lead up to the hype. If they didn’t tell us about the cameos I would of enjoyed it much more. I’m just happy they didn’t spoiler Ezra’s flash at least. I really enjoyed part 4 and 5 tho. I wish more characters showed up in part 5 but I understand the budget problem. They could of saved money not doing beebo tho.

I agree the consequences and changes are really entertaining but part 5 except the sara and barry moment is so shit, Oliver just died and they're fighting a giant Beebo and making terrible jokes and why is the anti-monitor alive, oliver died fighting him and recreated the universe but he didn't kill him and that final fight is pretty bullshit. Oliver's death in part 1 meant he basically wasn't there the whole crossover and his interaction with everyone else are my favourite part about crossovers yet he was barely there. Also the paragon hunting bit I didn't like.I only liked it after Earth-1 and the waverider get deleted.
As far as I know, part 5 was kind of rushed or they just ran out of budget. Also, it was on Legends. They probably used that as an excuse to be lazy

It's not that they were expecting a movie budget my friend. But the fact that they teased some things that were going to appear in this cross over that never happened (Eobard Thawne for example) that's why people didn't really like it
The only thing I didn't like about Invasion was every episode felt more like an episode of its show rather than being completely connected like a film broken into parts.

I love how season 3 of arrow and season 1 of flash always crossover with each other, you had to watch both series at the same time.

Crisis on Infinite Earths 6.5/10 (The first 3 episodes in particular were so filled with cameos that it felt like the writers lost focus on the story which should always be more important than the cameos. The last 2 episodes were quite a bit better since they were at least story focused but even when (spoiler alert) when they killed Oliver it didn’t feel as impactful as it should’ve since it felt like they wasted his character since he wasn’t very prominent in episodes 2 and 3. Also him just holding the anti monitor wasn’t as epic as it should’ve been and since it was just Barry and Sarah there at his sacrifice it didn’t feel super emotional. However I felt the next episode was more emotional and I liked it much more in the last 2 episodes but for me this was pretty disappointing)
4. Flash VS Arrow 8/10 (This is the one that started the yearly crossover which was so cool and this is just a purely fun crossover)
3. Invasion 8.5/10 (I really enjoyed this crossover since it’s so much fun but my problem with this one lies where the arrow episode feels so arrow centric that it takes me out of the crossover as I think it would’ve been better if it played as one long movie. That’s what brings down the crossover but other than that it’s a very good crossover)
2. Elseworlds 8.9/10 (Elseworlds was a super fun crossover, a fun setup for Crisis on Infinite Earths and it was just so much fun seeing Barry as Arrow and vise versa. Also seeing the Justice League was so cool. My only problem lies in where it’s super dumb how Oliver and Barry swapped identities. This professor was given so much power and all he does is swap Oliver and Barry which was super dumb which bogs down the crossover, but it was still really good)
1. Crisis on Earth X 9.5/10 (This is the way every crossover should be in my opinion as it’s emotional with a death that makes a lasting impact on the arrowverse, and most importantly it put the story before anything else. Also the villains were very good and I loved how this crossover played as 1 long movie which was awesome making this my favorite crossover)

Crisis was amazing! People need to remember these are TV shows! People are mad it wasn't movie quality or something. They did great considering how big the crossover was and how much it had to accomplish and fit in there. The worst episode of that crossover is 5 and it was still a good episode.

When Felicity got mad at Oliver for not telling her about a son he found out about an hour prior, I began to despise her character as well. Her character went from cute nerdy tech girl to bitchy annoying self centered bitch really quick.

What I really haed about Invasion was the Cisco and Barry drama. It was the same as Felicity and Oliver drama in Heroes Join Forces.
Crisis on Earth X played down that drama so much us why I would put it ahead of these two.

Also crisis on infinite earths is not a disappointment but it gets carried by the characters cameos like og Superman, lex Luther, Lucifer,green arrow 2046, and Mia queen and black lightning in their first crossover but it’s kinda a disappointment like anti monitor the main main villain only had 3 fights while one of them was okay and two were amazing and Ralph did nothing he’s a big character of flash and he basically did nothing he wasn’t even in the room where Barry was supposed to sacrifice himself also on that Barry doesn’t even come close to dying they could’ve made something like Barry saves earth 90 flash from dying but he vanishes and the melt down stops then they reveal speed force saved flash at the right moment so we have earth 90 and original flash together and the speed force could’ve came down in it’s true form as Barry’s mom but no we don’t deserve that either and we couldn’t even get flash the most powerful superhero(my opinion again) to square off against anti monitor or we could’ve got og Superman and to stay for the 5th part and they couldn’t get Batman either I mean bat women works too but with this many flaws we deserve Batman but we get his old version and they make one of the paragons Ryan Choi💀💀 bro they could’ve got some old dc character or an arrowverse character or a different wells something instead of a basic smart human i would rate this crossover a 9/10 it’s still good tbh does that make me stupid?
I don't think Oliver's death is as emotional as you say it is because once he already died,the sadness from the second time was already sucked away a little bit.
Besides that,Tony Stark actually fought Thanos to his last breath and then snapped his fingers and sacrificed himself for the universe.
Whereas,Oliver just held Anti-Monitor's hands and blew up the place. It doesn't make an emotional punch that strong for me. I know this is TV and Endgame has big budget writers but what I mean is,that fight didn't get me balling in tears,like "mmm" when Ironman died.
But it wasn't as sad the first time because we were so shocked that he died. Oliver sacrificed himself to save the multiverse
What I like about Elseworlds is Seeing Oliver in the Flash suit and Barry in the Arrow suit was awesome!!!!
I judge these crossover by 1)number of charecters, 2)relevancy to main plot/flow, 3) impact on charecters moving forward. Given that, I rank CoEX as number 1(fluid continuous plot, character death, weddings), CoIE as number 2 (last episode felt disjointed and rushed), invasion as 3(supergirl felt stapled on as an afterthought with none of her side charecters), heroes unite as 4 (almost all charecters at the time, but it was immediately undone in favor of the legends show), elseworld as 5 (lots of charecters sidelined, legends completely excluded, each episode wanted to be it own thing: freakyFriday & nurfed amazo, batwoman, emperor superman, it just disjointed start to end), flash vs arrow as 6(like you said, just 2 cameos, not really a crossover).

I personally wouldn't put crisis on infinite earths at the first place because there are quite a few things I don't like about it, like how they treated kevin conroy and smallville's clark kent and the ending felt rushed and too easy, to me it depended way too much on the cameos to hold himself, I still like it but it has problems. My personnel favorite would probably be flash vs arrow or invasion

So I just finished crisis on infinite earths… and to say I’m disappointed is kind of an under statement. Coming off of Elseworlds and (my personal favourite) Earth X, this was just nothing really. It was messy, the only part I really enjoyed was episode 1, the anti moniter was no where near as scary as people told me he was. Oliver’s “ultimate battle” is literally him and some green dude standing there doing fuck all. He’s basically a god now, have them actually fight! Throw energy spheres, teleport around, throw punches and kicks while flying in the air! Something, but no. As a whole, I’d probably put it in the bottom, which sucks because it’s the second to last crossover before “airs my party, I’ll die if I want to.”

While Crisis was maybe a little disappointing due to all the hype, it was still very good and impactful. I think Elseworlds has the best story, doesn't feel forced, I enjoyed it the most, and focuses on the Arrowverse Big 3.
Invasion bored me while Crisis on Earth X felt forced in my opinion.
I really like Flash v. Arrow but put Heroes Join Forces ahead of it because I love Flash Season 1 and think Black Lion hates too much on Vandal "Macho Man" Randy Savage!

I do like Crisis on Earth-X more than Invasion and Elseworlds because their opponent was very formidable and acting is good, but I don't want was very a lot of Iris scene that wasn't necessary(not to mean to offend). Invasion was a kind of unstable because a lot of them was all talking Flashpoint; after I watched 100th episode of the Flash, I think twice that 100th episode of Arrow wasn't good enough. Finally Elseworlds was in the moderate maybe my third on my list, because it did have a good interpretation but in part three so much drama. Drama wasn't bad actually but this crossover, too excessive. Most especially the time Alex of Earth-1 talking to Kara some of them are nonsense. On the other hand, I like the part that is very hilarious with Barry and Oliver. However, the part of other Barry was kind of disappointing but thank Crisis on Infinite Earths, giving him an ending that is deserving. Those are my interpretation. I do like Crisis on Earth-X more than Invasion and Elseworlds.

But I've just realized that I watched these crossovers a long timer ago and I have to watch them all again someday. Maybe then I change my mind.

Black Lion, although I do not agree with you putting it on 1st place, I do agree that the response to Crisis has been way too harsh. Like seriously, what were people expecting? Sure, it sucked that: some central characters didn't appear, that the crossover ignored some of its own set up, that the plot was quite weak (especially in Part 2) and that the Anti-Monitor was a bit lame. But from a general view, in hindsight, there was so many cool things they gave us and it really did feel a lot bigger due to all the cameos (even if the majority didn't add anything to the plot). I mean realistically, it is just a television crossover with not a huge budget, tons of buildup and anticipation to meet, and so many superheroes that it made Infinity War look small (from the number of comic heroes involved). There was no way they could ever satisfy everything. I still loved it. It's still N2 of my list. And people are just far too harsh on it, compared to what it accomplished.
