Having a bike would be one of the best options if you need to cover a long distance quickly during a get home or bug out situation. I’ve personally travelled 50 miles in about 4 hours on a bike but good riders can cover well over 100 miles in a day. Depending on the size of your vehicle you may be able to store a bike inside or you may be able to store one at your work. They also make folding bikes that are more compact for storage but one thing to keep in mind is that they are generally less comfortable for riding long distances. Electric bikes are another option to consider. This Bike on Amazon can easily go 40-50 miles using pedal assist mode and it has a max speed of about 15 miles an hour. Some cities also have bike rentals as well and you may be able to rent one depending on the circumstances.
A Good Trailer or a Cart might also be useful and would make it easier to transport heavy supplies like food and water over long distances. There’s trailers you can attach to bikes if you need to carry heavy items long distances. There’s also folding utility wagons which would also be easy to store and would work well if you needed to cover a long distance walking on sidewalks or roads. They also make Single wheel carts like the HoneyBadger which can handle rougher terrain. Also if you live in an area with a lot of snow a sled might also be useful.
    Folding
Scooters are not a bad way to get around and they are also easy to store as well. Scooters would also be the easiest to ride if you have little experience. Razor makes foot powered adult scooters with both on road and off road tires and they fold down and can easily be kept in a trunk. There’s also electric scooters as well. Segway makes a popular scooter called the ninebot Max which has roughly a 40 mile range and a max speed of 18 miles per hour. You may even be able to rent an electric scooter depending on the circumstances using the Bird or Lime app if you live in a city where they are legal. You may even be able to rent an electric scooter using the Bird or Lime app if you live in a city where they are legal.
LongBoard If you live in an urban environment a long board is not a bad way to get around on flat and downhill surfaces. LongBoards are typically about 32-42” inches are would probably be the easiest to store in an office or trunk. They generally have thicker wider wheels and are better and handling rougher pavement compared to a regular skateboard. There’s even electric skateboards which are capable of going uphill and this one from boosted has a max speed of 24 mph and a range of 14 miles. You can also get a board with larger all terrain wheels with a 50-60 mile range but the downside is that the price tag on those boards would be around $4000.
If your get home or bug out journey takes you near a body of water like a lake or river a packable raft might be a good option to consider. Klymit makes a raft that’s designed for backpacking that weighs just 44 ounces and it is one of the lightest of its kind.
If you are planning to cover any kind of distance walking, hiking, running or using any of the other transportation methods mentioned in this video you need to be sure you have a good pair of shoes that’s up to the task. My preference is a good worn in pair of cross training shoes but you might prefer hiking or running shoes. It’s important to have shoes with good support if you are going to be carrying extra weight especially. Also it’s important to keep some socks around as well. You can keep spare socks inside of your bag or you stuff a pair inside each shoe.
You want to make sure to have these shoes easily accessible and I like to keep a pair attached with a carabiner to my get home and bug out bag.

Yeah I have seen his bug out rolls before! They look pretty nice. I'm working on a bug out bag video which will hopefully be ready in the next week or so. Maybe it will give you some inspiration!

Haha yeah, that's a decent climb for sure. Maybe something electric-powered?
