    That fall, the scenery, the fish breaking off, good company... man what a great trip! Love the shots of the fish eating on the surface! My favorite kind of fishing!

    Gonna be one of those fish that Haunt You Tuna. It's so frustrating when something like that happens. Oh well....still a good adrenaline rush.

    Really entertaining video. Too bad about that big one, man! Hard to describe the amazing feeling of a bigger fish directly connected to your hand through a tenkara rod with no reel.

    • @tenkararodco
      @tenkararodco  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Win some lose some for sure! Agree with you for sure it is hard to describe the difference between catching a big fish on a Tenkara rod vs other type of rod.

      @@tenkararodco heck yeah! I think if people could feel the rush of that instead of “missing the sound of a drag” more people would be on board!

    Awesome loads of fun for sure! I do a lot of fly fishing in small heavy canopy trails here in WV lots of hiking to fish and then some moderate sized rivers primarily for trout. Is the Sierra Model an appropriate choice? I desperately in need of one of these Tenkara rods. Could have used it today catching some native brooks.

    • @tenkararodco
      @tenkararodco  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Lester, sounds like for where you are fishing something like the Sierra would be perfect. Small enough to fit in under the canopy but big enough to handle the bigger rivers if you need it! Thanks for watching!

    I wanted to see the big one so badly.

    • @tenkararodco
      @tenkararodco  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      haha same! It seemed like Tuna held it through the hardest fight and we thought it was a done deal... but the fish had other plans.

    Are you guys just running around in wet boots? Or is there something else you’re doing to avoid hiking with wet feet?

    • @tenkararodco
      @tenkararodco  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Haha great question Nick! We actually just wore our wading boots with neoprene socks the whole time and kept our backpacks on most of the time. And then changed into dry shoes at the end of the day. Not the recommended way of doing things but the soggy feet were worth it.

    What brand of backpack do you guys use?

  • @skogstokigochsjovild
    @skogstokigochsjovild 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What Line are you use? Levelline furledline? And your tippet how thick?

    • @tenkararodco
      @tenkararodco  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think Tuna had a level line on his rod fishing the Yari and then Drew had a furled line on. 5x tippet on this occasion.
