That fall, the scenery, the fish breaking off, good company... man what a great trip! Love the shots of the fish eating on the surface! My favorite kind of fishing!
What a nice video, my friend! Great backpacking! Enjoyed watching, very useful info. Cheers from Russia, Tenkara, and welcome to my channel about bushcraft tips and hacks! Kind regards, Yuriy!
Really entertaining video. Too bad about that big one, man! Hard to describe the amazing feeling of a bigger fish directly connected to your hand through a tenkara rod with no reel.
Win some lose some for sure! Agree with you for sure it is hard to describe the difference between catching a big fish on a Tenkara rod vs other type of rod.
Awesome loads of fun for sure! I do a lot of fly fishing in small heavy canopy trails here in WV lots of hiking to fish and then some moderate sized rivers primarily for trout. Is the Sierra Model an appropriate choice? I desperately in need of one of these Tenkara rods. Could have used it today catching some native brooks.
Hey Lester, sounds like for where you are fishing something like the Sierra would be perfect. Small enough to fit in under the canopy but big enough to handle the bigger rivers if you need it! Thanks for watching!
This video phenomenal I love trout fishing so relaxing and such a beautiful fish and calm I do videos too I actually caught my new pb bass if you want to check it out it was 100cm and 30lbs it was huge!
Haha great question Nick! We actually just wore our wading boots with neoprene socks the whole time and kept our backpacks on most of the time. And then changed into dry shoes at the end of the day. Not the recommended way of doing things but the soggy feet were worth it.

Thanks for watching will definitely check out your channel!
Gonna be one of those fish that Haunt You Tuna. It's so frustrating when something like that happens. Oh well....still a good adrenaline rush.
Patiently waiting for The Sierra to restock. Looking forward to fishing this summer.
We should have it back in stock within the next two weeks!
You guys look like you’re having the time of your lives! Great stuff!
Always fun when you are out fishing with your buddies!
Nice video! Always having fun! 🤙🇵🇷
Always!

@@tenkararodco heck yeah! I think if people could feel the rush of that instead of “missing the sound of a drag” more people would be on board!
Awesome area. Can I join next time 🥴
This is exactly what I wanna be doing a lot of this year! Haha, scrape some of those fish out, love it.
Ya hard to think about anything else!
This reminds me that I haven’t been out here this year, now I gotta run out and fish it. Of course it’s a long drive to New Mexico for me ;)
We ran into another tenkara angler from New Mexico on the river while were there!
Great adventure as usual.
Glad you enjoyed it
I just picked up the Beartooth, loved seeing it in action!
Nice! Such a fun rod especially for situations like this!
Hi guy very nice vidio,
All the videos need to start off with a tuna poem!
haha great idea!
I support your channel done.

I wanted to see the big one so badly.
haha same! It seemed like Tuna held it through the hardest fight and we thought it was a done deal... but the fish had other plans.
Me to Kent...me to!
didn't I see a sawtooth colored net that Charlie tuna was using...where can I order one...or one colored the Sierra way?
The Orange net is on the website under the nets section. Thanks!

Glad you liked the video. And wow that is a huge bass congrats!
Are you guys just running around in wet boots? Or is there something else you’re doing to avoid hiking with wet feet?
Haha great question Nick! We actually just wore our wading boots with neoprene socks the whole time and kept our backpacks on most of the time. And then changed into dry shoes at the end of the day. Not the recommended way of doing things but the soggy feet were worth it.
What brand of backpack do you guys use?
Mountain Hardwear
What Line are you use? Levelline furledline? And your tippet how thick?
I think Tuna had a level line on his rod fishing the Yari and then Drew had a furled line on. 5x tippet on this occasion.
Where are you guys? Is this New Mexico? Looks beautiful.
Looks like it could be New Mexico, it's definitely beautiful!
Can’t be New Mexico looks more like Utah
Looks like Escalante
👍👍👍👍
Do you guys do any guiding
Unfortunately we don't. Hopefully these videos serve as inspiration to get out and explore and find new water and catch more fish!
Southern Utah??
Could be!
