BIG Knight Rider fan here. Weapons are not part of the franchise, as far as I can remember. Michael Knight I think never uses one in a single episode of the four seasons series (plus a tv movie), but the wrist watch was the communicator device with KITT when they were separated (and maybe with the base team, too).
I believe there is one episode where Michael almost uses a gun. I’m thinking scent of the roses, right after Stevie dies; Michael thinks about killing her murderer. Other than that and maybe KITT using a laser once or twice the show seemed more about defence than offence. Then again there is KITT always breaking through walls and the turbo boosts. Still you have to give transformers weapons, and I can’t think of much else that would fit.

If you rewatch the opening credits of Knight Rider you’ll see David Hasselhoff firing a few shots with a hand gun just after you see his name on the screen.

Awesome review! You mentioned the upgrade kit was by Matrix Workshop but the only kit I can find on TFsafari is by Shockwave Lab and it looks like the exact parts you showed here. Was this a misquote or is the one you mentioned not up on the website?

The Go Better kit for Kingdom Huffer is absolutely astounding. My biggest issue though is that Go Better haven’t released upgrade kits for his mold mates Pipes, Puffer and Road Ranger. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Go Better, PLEASE do the same upgrades for them. PLEASE.

I'm really hoping someone comes up with a mod kit to replace that ridiculous sound box. It looks so stupid hanging down like that. All we needed was the light. Hopefully they make some kind of insert to actually bring the light out to the bumper instead of it being shoved all the way back in the engine.
I agree that the earlier Joe Crossovers were kinda poop... but the Crossover Triple T Tank Kup is a big jump in design quality over the other Joe crossovers in the past.
I do not have this guy YET, I just got the Party Wagon yesterday actually but I plan on getting this guy when I can. I still do not like the name Party Wallop, to me he's always going to be Metalhead, I mean that character was right there, that should have been the name. And Agent Knight should just be K.I.T.T. the voice clips on the toy he even introduces himself as K.I.T.T. They need to make K.A.R.R. at some point as well because if you don't know the evil version of this guy in the show was voiced by Peter Cullen so it would be a shame not to make K.A.R.R. and record some original voice lines while Peter Cullen is still around and they're combining two of the franchises he was in. Would even be funny if they gave K.A.R.R. an Optimus Prime head in robot mode.
Only catch is that Peter Cullen's K.A.R.R. was only in the season 1 episode "Trust Doesn't Rust"; season 3's "K.I.T.T. vs. K.A.R.R." replaced him with Paul Frees. (To be fair, the 2008 reboot/next gen continuation went back to Peter Cullen for their oddball version to go up against the Val Kilmer voiced Knight 3000 called the Knight Automated Roving Robotic Exoskeleton...K.A.R.R.E., if you prefer. Yes, the acronym is as dumb as it sounds. But, this was only done because Paul Frees had already passed away by then...)

I wish that Hasbro had made this figure similar to the Human Alliance figures from the early Transformers movies and gave him a mini figure of Michael Knight to sit in the driver’s seat. Or even better make the KITT body out of an Alternator’s design and engineering. Those figures were sweet, model car with working doors, hood, and trunk.
Kamen rider and knight rider have nothing to do with each other, one show is Japanese and the other American, ones from the 1970's and the other from the 1980's, ones about bug suit people and the other about a talking car who fights for justice (summaries) So to answer your question Knight Rider isn't a Kamen rider reference and personally I don't get how you could think it's a reference but I've never watch Kamen rider and only know a brief synopsis of it from Google

That huge gun is unnecessary, but the gaps fillers are nice. Especially the ones for the back. The bot no loger look anorexic.
