If anyone doesn't like the brown, its just a clear coat. There's a silver layer underneath it. The front thighs are especially easy to clean up because they are diecast so theres no risk of damaging it with sandpaper. Another thing: If you want the robot mode grill to sit flush, you just need to remove the matrix.
I like how the cab turns out nice and neat and then when you get to the trailer hatch side, it just fells apart. They could at least add some more transformation to it in my opinion.
I gotta say I really like the look of this figure. Looks movie accurate and the paint looks really amazing and it does transform similarly to the movie, but truth be told I wish they hid the legs more because they’re very obviously legs and not the back of a truck since I imagine it would’ve been difficult to make them look like how the bed of the truck looked on the actual vehicle. I also wish you can have the figure without the mouth plate since it was a look we saw in the film. All in all it’s a good representation of ROTB Optimus Prime, but definitely has potential for improvement. Definitely buying this guy for sure. 💯

personally i prefer the bumblebee movie version of prime but yeah not gonna lie this is a good one from lucky cat, i already pre ordered the cyber era one for prime and can't wait for it! (especially for the light-up matrix😍)
something I didn't know I wanted so much until I noticed while watching is how much it looks like the transformation could be done on the ground, like this Optimus doesn't need to fly to do his robot yoga. I'm gonna go through my collection to see how many of mine can do that convincingly.
My thing with btt02, which does look nice, is that he is much blockier than the CG model. And for all the talk of the truck bed being better, the cab is very innacurate.
@@dmaa88 yeah, btt02 are better color from this one I guess, but we don't know it yet becoz it may vary from the photo contrast. I do some little compare photo side to side between these two with its own movie. Robot design are closely match with lucky cat. Btt02's head are bit bigger so he are innacurate, his arms are bit blocky and square look (lucky cat slims arm; match), it has rectangle hollow on his shoulders which can quite be difficult to put an autobot sticker on it (LC has more spaces; match), and behind it there is a big red hinges which quite annoys me (LC aren't: match), there is some point on the back like spines are different like it has own design but his bulky back are nicer, two little triangles on his back wings that aren't supposed to be there, his side knee gasoline tank are too plain, the back foot are paint black and gold instead of all silver burn paint and again, his side and back shoe has it own design, but front shoe are good and all wheels are bigger (LC are smaller), in truck mode cab doesn't have 4 fog lamp on his front bar (LC has it). But, his chest window robot are clear tint (from its movie, truck has dark window tint but robot mode is clear; confused) and btt02 got plenty accessories, which make btt02 is hard option. But, btt02 doesn't have the leader of matrix unfortunately. And still, the choice will remain with the buyer 🙂
Well the Btt is a modified ko of the infamous Freedom Leader so transformation nightmare probably self destructing part for part with every transformation 😂
I was planning to get that figure but I don’t like the gold/silver colors most of the figure has. I guess it fits because most of the movie scenes his silver parts were in that color due to the lighting of some scenes when he was in Peru, but idk man I wish it was silver. I don’t feel confident painting it because customizing transformers figures is hard because of the paint scratches. But other than that nice review Emgo!
The main allure to this fig for me compared to MM is the price tag. Even so, I'd prefer SHINY and CHROME to the dingy paint job with most toys, this one included. The Dark of the Moon Megatron is a rare exception of appreciating the dinge for me.
I just had an Idea for a skit with this figure a reenactment of the knife scene from Crocodile Dundee where Prime goes up to Bumblebee and say That's not an cannon ,pull out his, that that's a cannon

Lucky Cat is such an oddity of a company… Smaller combiners that turn into cubes from Transformers and Voltron and Power Rangers, legends scale stuff focused mostly on Bumblebee, and now MPM-ish stuff with this? It’s not impossible to drive in multiple lanes, but it’s not really advisable… LC might wanna figure out where they’re going not too far off in the future or they run the risk of diluting themselves too much.
There still making these bumblebee-verse bots just too big!... I might have to pick this guy up, he's a weird one tho he seems like he's simplified like the two openplay bots Springer and Galvatron yet still complicated like all the hinging/rotating pieces are big for ease of transformation and they just gave up below the waist!:) Plus he's not too expensive but I don't really want to start on new movies bots when 3rd party companies haven't completed the cybertron scene yet... I still need a good b-127, arcee, brawn and wheeljack, if only someone would ko oversize those just to finish that movie!
MM01 is still the master of engineering, although the cab on that one is pretty innacurate, and the trnsformationg is a bit mire involved. Toyworld's is just outdated at this point.
did the CG model really have those apehanger arms? His hands are at his knees, and his midsection is like half normal size. I never dug that design, but I don't remember it being this busted lol. The bee movie version looked waaaaaay better to me.

The robot mode looks darn near perfect, but alt. mode not so much. If I had that figure, it’d stay in robot mode.
