- So, whatever happened to my 1984 Mk1 Volkswagen Rabbit? Two years ago, I made some promises with 'lofty' deadlines - like a VR6 swap in time for 2019's H20i. I made good on a couple of those promises while others were left for dead... find out what happened!

And I totally agree on the -slow car going fast-. These cars weight not more than 1000 kilos. And if you put 150 170 hp in them.... its more fun than driving a ferrari or lambo etc. I have a abf in mine. Puts out 150hp and a smile on my face every time I drive it. Goodluck with the plans. Keep us updated lol

Just a question… but why is this mark 1. It is the first gen of American made rabbits, but foreign built ones before those were different (different dash, different lights, different grill). I love this vid btw… my mom had a ‘80? Diesel Rabbit and that’s the car I learned to drive in. This brings back many memories and I love your free-spiritedness and innovation. More please :-)

Haha thanks man! The car has the Techtonics Tuning 2.5” kit with a Magnaflow straight-through muffler and a cat. Great to have ya’! 🍻

Honestly I didn’t try to keep the A/C. My rabbit didn’t have factory air so I just deleted everything off of the engine 🤷🏻♂️

But…, i got a 93 golf/swap vr6 2000 14 years a go.. it’s the same of a Honda acura type R. Not under 14.6 so… 👎
