“I ate the wheels” coming from Grant with a huge smile warmed my heart! On Sunday we are celebrating my mom’s 85th and my nieces 36th birthdays. I did creamed honey that I’m pairing with a biscuit mix in a jar and chicken soup. I have wanted to do the wax wraps so maybe I will give that a try to add to the basket! Wonderful ideas here Kelsey, I’m always inspired with your ideas. Great gift choices for the children too! I think they have some very creative playtime in their future. Bless you sweet Kelsey. Thank you for sharing with us. 🤗
I knowww, I do love that boy so! Oh I love getting mixes in a jar! Your gifts sound lovely! Thank you so much for watching and commenting! May your celebration and Christmas season be blessed friend! ❤️☺️🌲
Hey Kelsey I’m new but yes I send cards and I just bought my daughter one of those wraps I’m anxious for her to try it. Your children are wonderful. Merry Christmas to you and your family
All children LOVE sprinkles for some reason… I guess because it looks like a party on whatever they adorn… I’m with you on the dyes… very detrimental … makes a difference 😉Pray over them to ask that any detrimental affects be removed. They were made with love so that’s a great start!!
I handmake every Christmas card and send out about 75 cards to family and friends. I love giving gift baskets containing my baked goods, preserved goods, pickles and jams. Our boys and their families as well as my husbands siblings and their families look forward to them. Thank you for all that you do.
Love to get homemade gifts like these. I do still send Christmas cards because I am a scrapbooker and love to make cards from the scraps that are left. I love to get cards too but don't get many anymore.
Grant reminds me so much of my grandson. Thanks for the present ideas. I’m like you and shop sales early. I wasn’t able to do so this year because of a medical issue. Please keep me in your prayers. They did like the sprinkles. I miss the days when my kids were young. I hope y’all have a Merry Christmas
You can add cinnamon and winter spices to your whipped honey. Dried orange and cranberry for an autumn taste etc. I hope xmas cards never go out of fashion. I srnt 84! And hope that they are smiles in their mailboxes.
What fun seeing the gifts you picked out for your kiddos! I miss mine being little and watching the way they would play. My oldest son was obsessed with dinosaurs as well. LOL and that reminds me of a hysterical story -- I walked through the living room one time while he was playing with their Little People Noah's Ark and had it loaded up with animals, but Noah was on a rowboat with a Little People dinosaur headed away from the Ark. I thought to myself, I guess that's what happened to the dinosaurs! And then I laughed until I was wheezing. 🤣🤣🤣
I had never realized that one could make the beeswax cloths on your own! A great video and very thoughtful gifts for your kids. Happy holidays to you and those you love!
My oldest son loved National Geographic stuff when he was little. I don’t know if they are still around but they had National Geographic kids videos. My son had a lot of this stuff.
I DO send out Christmas Cards. I rarely get any but I love to send them. It's something I will never stop doing. Handmade gifts are the best things to relieve. And we love to give them as well. All of my children are grown and live far away and I miss being with my family but I do what I can
I love them you still send them and are keep it alive regardless of receiving any! I’m sure it is very hard being away from family. Most of our family has moved away and I sure do miss the big family get togethers we used to have. Hugs 🤗
Love all these gift ideas! They turned out beautiful! Thank you for sharing how to make beeswax cloth and creamed honey. I love creamed honey, and can’t seem to find it in the store anymore. Now I can make my own. I too send out Christmas cards, almost every year, but this year, I have to send out New Year’s cards because I never had enough time to get the Christmas cards out on time! 31:05 Love the gifts for your children! I loved getting gifts for my children when they were little, but I still have fun as an adult giving them gifts! It’s so fun to shop for others and bless others! I love that you have a Christmas cards exchange at church!
31:29 Wonderful video. Love all the gifts and presents. I miss these years. They were so much fun. I would love to adopt a child for Christmas. I am to old and sick to take one on full time. I do hope you video Christmas morning for us all to see a little bit of their Christmas joy.❤ PS: Yes, I still send out cards, but my list is getting smaller every year. I loved the cards you were addressing.
Love Virginia Lee Burton books. When I was a little girl, my favourite winter book was called “Katy and the big snow” by Virginia Lee Burton. It was about an old snowplow named Katy that saved the town from a blizzard!
You got such great gifts for the kids! The Seven Silly Eaters is one of my favorite picture books. I got it for my 30 year old daughter when she was little with a book on tape to go along with it, read by the author. It’s really cute! That bug vacuum is a riot!
Thank you ☺️ I’m so excited to give them everything! It is such a great book and what a sweet memory you have! I’ll try and include the bug vacuum in action in a garden video next year lol. Merry Christmas!
Thank you for showing the beeswax making I am going to make some of those for my family members that cook and will use them! Love all the homemade gifts
Oh how I would be so touched if I received this gift! I love, love, love everything about the time & heartfelt love that went into these gifts. This is truly the spirit of Christmas! Thanks for sharing!!
Great job on gifts! So great to see someone else shopping internationally for their children! Your son and daughter would also enjoy loose parts, peg people, and Sarah silks! Just some ideas!
I send handmade Christmas cards! And - I'm probably going to use just about everything in this video as gifts next year! Thank you so much for posting!! I've got this one saved!
Yes, I do send christmas cards. I feel like it’s very appriciated but few of our friends and relatives send them. When I grew up we always baked gingerbread cookies with my grandma, so many nice memories. That chicken shirt was super cute 😍
I made a bunch of holiday potpourri kits and gave them as gifts this week. I took the little treat bags that you can buy at the dollar store and I put an orange, 1/2 a cup of fresh cranberries, two cinnamon sticks, and a tablespoon of whole cloves in each one and tied them up with a ribbon. I included the instructions to slice the orange, and then dump everything into a cooking or potpourri pot with enough water to cover the ingredients. I suggested adding a few sprigs of pine, or a teaspoon of vanilla, and allowing to simmer on the kitchen or wood stove. I love the smell of these at Christmas.
What a fun video. I really enjoyed seeing what you purchased for your children. I am always looking for fun ideas for our Great Grandchildren. The homemade items gift baskets are so nice. I really enjoyed seeing your children enjoy making the cookies. I think all children love an over abundance of sprinkles.
Love your videos!! Finally someone with a normal Christmas budget! 🎄 my kids are the same age as your two! And no joke love the same things! Many good ideas, merry Christmas ❤ to your family!
Thank you so much! That’s awesome they are so similar! I can’t believe the amount of money people spend at Christmas! We are pretty frugal and are really focused on being debt free and saving for land! I do try my best to stretch the Christmas budget though! Merry Christmas friend ❤️
I love the thought you put into your baskets and the gifts for your kiddos. All so very useful !! Love the bees wax wraps and will be making those for my Christmas baskets. My daughter will love that and the whipped honey. You are a huge inspiration to me in all you do. I have been following you for well over a year now and love your content so much. Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas season🎄. Keep well and stay healthy ❤
I saw how a family put up a magnetic board on their wall area so their kids could turn the magnetic things on the walls. Another thing I saw recently that your kids would likely love is a treasure hunt. You put a long piece of tape on the wall with all the alphabet. Then take individual letters and hide them around the house. Looked fun.
Pachy dinos are(were real). There are so many types of dinos. I know it seems like they are making up the names but they arent lol. I have been wanting to make the beeswax covers for so long and you just inspired me to do so. Thank you. Loved your video ❤ I miss having little ones around. I'm 56 and it's just me and hubby
Lol! I’m sure, I just remember being obsessed with the good old t-Rex, velociraptor and brachiosaurus! So many out there though! I hope you enjoy the beeswax wraps! I love using them. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Merry Christmas ❤️☺️🌲
LOve the homemade gift basket ideas. I think homemade gifts are so thoughtful but my ex-in laws treated them as garbage. It was disappointing. I like how "screens" are not your kids only thing to do. I like to hear that they are builders, fortmakers, etc. Have a Merry Christmas!!!! And a wonderful 2025.
I've never seen a 'kids gift' video and loved it! I want one of those fort building kits! Your presents are so considerate of their likes and wants. Now the big question - how do I get on your gift basket list? LOL Makes me want to do the same. I made vanilla, have lots of jelly and jam, plenty of dried fruit, made cowboy candy and bought lots of fermented meat sticks Now to just whip up the cookies and gift containers. I just needed inspiration to pull them together and more items to plan for next year. Crazy great gift baskets. Thanks for the inspiration.
Aw I’m so glad you enjoyed it! If you were nearby you’d most definitely be getting a basket and an invitation to build forts with the kiddos lol. Thanks so much and Merry Christmas! 🌲☺️❤️

Did you wash the fabric that you used for the beeswax wraps? That was on my list of things to make using up some of the fat quarters I have left from my mask business! I started making vanilla during the pandemic. I’m giving each of my girls a “flight” of vanilla for Christmas!

Super cute video! And wild timing! I’m making beeswax wraps today. Do you use any jojoba or pine resin with your beeswax?
Thank you! Oh cool! I personally do not, I don't find it necessary :)
Enjoued.
I don't know if I missed it but where do you get your food grade beeswax?

are the beeswax wraps washable? And if so how do you do that?
Yes! Although, they are naturally antibacterial. Cold water only, rinse when needed and make sure they are thoroughly dry before storing. If needed, a small amount of soap can be used.
Hey! How much beeswax did you use? A friend of mine and I are going to make some
Maybe 8-10 oz? It depends on how many you’d like to make ☺️
♥
❤️☺️🎄
Beautiful. Can I ask if you can still taste the alcohol with the extract? Enjoy this amazing season as we celebrate our Saviours birth ❤
Thank you! I can still taste the alcohol but I can't smell it! May your Christmas season be blessed
Isn’t commercial vanilla extract usually made with alcohol?
@@cynthiafisher9907 I believe so!
It will vary by the type of alcohol used. The only alcohol that I have had practically disappear, taste wise, is coconut rum.. The longer the extract sits, the more the alcohol mellows. Some people will add just a small amount of sugar to smooth out the alcohol taste but it's still alcohol. Alcohol cooks out when baking and just leaves the vanilla taste behind. If alcohol is a problem, vanilla extract can be made with vegetable glycerin. It is debatable but my experience is that the shelf life isn't as long.
@hugg724 Thanks for all the info!
I send out 40 each year with a personal letter.

Christmas cards seem to be a thing of the past nowadays. Truly sad. I still send cards out.
My friends don't send cards because they say they can't afford them. And I don't have any family left I'm 72 and a widow.
