In February 2024 I rode from Cave Creek to Sheep Bridge on my KTM 790 R. It was a weekday so there was no one else on those roads. Then in May my son and I rode from the I-17 Bloody Basin exit to Sheep Bridge, in and out, on two Honda CRF250F motorcycles. On the way out we encountered a guy on a BMW 1250 GS about six miles from the bridge. He had just picked up his GS after encountering some nasty rock sections. Whatever he hit had ripped the skid plate off. We got him down to the bottom of a hill advising him that it was no better than what he encountered so far getting to the bridge. That last 12 miles is rugged for a GS. With good sense he was convinced to turn around. Beautiful views and the May ride was filled with wildflowers in bloom.
Heavy adventure bikes would find the last 12 miles to the bridge challenging unless they were a very experienced rider. See my comment above about a 1250 BMW GS rider.
Wow. A duel sport ride with real duel sport motorcycles.

I have a video of my ride to sheep's bridge, and I thought about turning around 3 times. I made it, but it was not an easy ride.
You think a pan america would make this trail? What trails do you recommend?
