    I’m 38 now but I skateboarded. You always run a risk of snapping your neck or brain trauma on a freak fall. Crazy I survived as a kid. My buddy busted his spleen trying to grind a hand rail and had to be rushed to the ER. R.I.P. 🙏🏼

      I’m 58. Last Memorial Day, a freak mtb accident nearly broke my neck (my PA was really nervous until I had a CT scan). As it was, I sustained a concussion that I’m still recovering from.

    • @justanothernobody7142
      @justanothernobody7142 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This sort of thing will unfortunately happen a lot more often as time goes on. The bar for these kind of extreme sports keeps rising. I skated for around 15 years starting from the late 80s. There's always a chance of killing yourself doing even some of the most basic tricks with a minor lapse in concentration but the kind of stuff people are doing in skating now is leagues ahead of what they were doing back then. On top of that with most of these sports like skating going mainstream and attracting more and more sponsors and big money people are pushing themselves more and more. A trick that would have been a finisher on the end of a well known pros section back then and likely one of the highlights of the whole video is now just a normal part of everyone's run.

      Yes!! These Superheroes don't get paid nearly enough! they willingly risk their lives for the love of the sport, but they should be compensated for the High Risks! The I.O.M. TT Races are on as we speak, Soo many riders have died @ the TT doing what they love! But it's hard to rationalise that Soccer & Basketball players get up to 100x what these guys get paid without risking their lives!
      Many Extreme Sportsman get paid O Zero Nada Nothing from sponsorships & pay for everything out of their own pocket- They do it for the love of the sport!

      Sadly your hope might not be fulfilled . He had to have believed in Jesus to be in Paradise . So this is the good news . Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures and was buried and rose again on the third day according to the scriptures 1Corintjians 15:3-4 by faith in Jesus we can have forgiveness of sins and the free gift of eternal life .the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord . I too hope to see you I Paradise but that depends on your belief in Jesus or not .may you find peace

    Im guessing it was a neck related injury. Bmx riders should start wearing those neck donuts that prevent your neck from bending.
    Make no mistake, these jumps are huge. Literally made for dirtbikes. Sad to hear, rip brother.

      unfortunately the rotations in BMX tricks are largely initiated and controlled by the head, the head moves and the body follows, and the neck braces heavily limit the motion of the head.
