When you add the 2012 TV Show Into the mix, they took Splinter’s death similarly maturely too. And they didn’t even try to resurrect him like how Tiger Claw tried to do with the Shredder.
Your channel is being suppressed. I tried to post a vid to 'TMNT Fans Club' on FB and not only was it automatically declined, it literally kicked me out of the group and blocked me just for sharing a link to your channel. There's no reason why you should have only 893 subs, this is the best Turtle channel
Guilt is a powerful thing to have. My guess is that the IDW turtles especially Michelangelo felt guilty for the death of splinter in their comics while the Mirage one is written with older versions of the Turtles. So there’s that to consider.
Very good analysis. Thank you for bringing up Mirage turtles on the table of discussion, which most of video channels here on YT do not. Indeed, Everything is learned in comparison
I really don't like that they make the IDW turtles act like babies. Mikey I can understand, but what about the others? I really hope IDW Leo will actullay become hot-headed just like 2003 Leo in 2003 TMNT Season 4, perhaps become a hermit who constantly practiced martial arts and astral skills. He begins to question that the training he had done was not paying off well because he still can't save his father. He couldn't accept Shredder's resurrection and that nonscene so-called "cosmic balance". Splinter's death and anger at this injustice actually set him on a darker and more radical path. This is better than locking himself in a greenhouse.
So by this logic, do you think The Last Ronin is a bad story because Mike didn’t immediately just get over it and get back to business as usual? I’ve seen grown up people that have lost their parents and are still a hot mess 2 years later. The grieving process does not have a roadmap and everyone has it hit them differently ya know. I also see Mike having issues with splinter joining the Foot and even enlisting children to join in. TBH I’m surprised the other turtles didn’t agree with him. It’s like Batman agreeing to take over the Jokers gang
I read The Lost Years, which is the story that takes place after Mikey lost his family. Do you know what he did? He went on an epic years-long journey of adventuring and self-discovery. He didn't sleep around in a bed with a hoodie on bed rotting for months. I can't understand why you would even try to compare the two stories.
@@Tatoruzu Yet before that, he basically went up in the mountains to try and die after he learned his family is dead. Just laying down and begging the earth to swallow you up is way worse then just 'bed rotting' if you ask me. On top of that, he spent years hiding out in the mountains basically playing hermit. Not much different from what the turtles were doing in IDW. Plus the Lost Years was pointless since none of it mattered in the over arching story (i.e. Gerel is not mentioned at all or seen as a ghost like the other characters) and the ending was rushed as hell. Even outside of the comics, the turtles tend to roll over and play dead when the going gets tough. In the live action movie, they hide out in Aprils old farm house playing Trivial Pursuit instead of getting back to business quickly. I guess it comes naturally when you're a turtle.

True but tiger claw was lil to loyal to shredder even tho shredder was so evil he would have let the world go to hell
O.g. Michaelangelo has no problem with killing the idw comics is wack for making Michaelangelo a soft cry baby
Agree, lo has dicho tal cual
Idw definitely dropped the ball with the turtles

Mirage TMNT did a great job on this aspect
And Michaelangelo was decapitated in his former life so why does he have a problem with splinter killing shredder
Agree

Who the fuck is that fifth turtle at the funeral in IDW?

Splinter died in the last ronin and Tmnt 2012 two time Jesus
IDW stop being about the ninja turtles a long time ago.
Sophie Campbell no va a trabajar más en Idw, cierto? 😅 Por favor, confirmad.
Ahí en el jardin como una mofeta enterrada está todo el arco de Shopie.
She'll still be around, just not for the main ongoing series
