    I absolutely _love_ Etsy. Not as a seller but as someone who buys from there. They've got really good stuff and super talented people who make amazing things. I'd be fine with purchasing from a new Etsy seller.

    Hi Alissa, thanks for being generous with all your tips!
    Would you recommend to separate different products types into different shops?
    i.e. if i want to sell printable wall art as well as digital templates
    or say i want to sell similar products but different target demographics - digital templates for weddings and digital templates for real estate
    Appreciate your help!

      I have seen some bestsellers do the latter, have digital templates as category and inside the category list templates for different targets. So you find digital templates for different purposes. I suggest you do some research as well and see what works best.

    I think the algorithm benefits the local seller more than the foreign one. I have been renovating my store for 5 months, 25 ads, I managed to position several in the first 4 pages, with a lot of effort I only managed 100 visits in the last 30 days but no sales.

    • @AlissaRose
      @AlissaRose  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There could be a variety of reasons why you're not making sales and not everything sells the same on Etsy (some products are being searched out for more than others and also there is the level of competition you have to consider). I would suggest driving your own traffic to get more data - after 100-200 visits to a listing with no sales, it could be your offer or that the wrong people are seeing your offer.

  • @theparsley

    Another great video! Do you know how long the temporary boost for a new listing lasts?

    • @AlissaRose
      @AlissaRose  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It all depends on how much competition there is for similar products. One with more competition is given a longer temporary boost.

From everything I've read about Etsy rules, it looks like you can have multiple shops but you need to disclose it in all of your Etsy shops the name of your other shops. I'm just wondering if you found a way around this or not? From what I can tell, it doesn't look like you mention owning any other Etsy shops in your Love Lissy one. Would love some insight :)

    Hi Alissa, your videos have been incredibly helpful! I'm about to start my etsy shop, and I'm wondering...
    Do you think that, in general, is tangible to ''expect'' around 500 dollars in the first month, selling logos and resumes, without using ads or making any other investments other than canva pro?
    I understand that the income will vary based on the niche and everything else, I'd just like to get a ballpark of what to expect in the first month as a beginner in terms of income, based on the context I mentioned above. Thanks!

    • @AlissaRose
      @AlissaRose  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Igor, it depends on a lot of factors. How many listings you're launching with. How good you are at design. How well you understand your market, market demand, and crafting listings and offers people really want. I mean, the list goes on. I will say that students of mine that already have shops making $40-$100/month before they enroll see rapid success, but those that start from scratch and don't have products yet, they typically experience a learning curve. Either from a design standpoint, understanding what they can authentically offer, or selling online in general (the reasons vary). The important thing is that you get going now because whether it takes 1 month or 6 months, when you start, the clock starts ticking and you will eventually get there if you do not give up. That's what I love about entrepreneurship. You will eventually succeed if you keep going.
