The Analogues perform 'Happiness Is A Warm Gun' by The Beatles during an integral rendition of The Beatles' White Album at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, August 24th, 2018.
If "...you need a fix ´cause you´re going down ...", you just have to hear (and see) the marvelous The Analogues' performances, and you will be cool...
These guys should be crowned the greatest fans of the beatles. Every song is to 99% of original. What more can anyone expect but it is 200% considering that it is played live. Simply marvellous
Gee I vividly remember the morning after the WA was released my dad drove me to store to buy it. I remember sitting on my bedroom floor and listening to each track for the first time. I could never pick a favorite Beatles song but I can say WA is my favorite.
Like many others I always have a hard time listening bands play Beatles, especially the studio era. But you guys are beyond any imaginable limit. Every second, every sound, every detail, every nuance.. are produced in a refined, loving and respectful way. Truly amazing. Greetings from Italy.
Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww a very good interpretation.... fantastic!!!!! Since 1964 I listen to the Beatles and this interpretation is very good!!!
Lennon’s stem is natuurlijk onmogelijk te copieren . Zijn stem was een van de belangrijkste redenen voor het weergaloze succes van de Beatles. When I hold you in my arms komt er het dichts bij 😊
@@Mirage5BR If I understand correctly you're saying that George both composed and sang this song? If so, that would be incorrect. John composed it and provided lead vocals.
Cher Monsieur, je tiens à vous présenter toutes mes excuses les plus sincères. J'en suis très gêné car j'avais certainement la tête ailleurs lorsque je vous ait écrit ce message... I've watched EVERY song these guys do..... Never a mistake. Funny I can't watch the Beatles anymore. These guys do all the songs better. It must be hard for Ringo and Paul to watch this. But fulfilling to see a tribute to them.
People saying this is better???...lol...the lead vocal at end can't even come close to replicating Johns iconic take...no where near the aggression..the guitar solo falls short on attack too...thats the most common short coming with these versions...but other than that pretty note for note so I can't see how that would be considered better either...its impressive tho considering how unbelievably great the original was and is.
why are you writing this? Do you suspect it? Or is there a point or two that you can pin it down to? Presumably there really were some "post production tricks" here and there, as it is not possible to mix the concert so perfectly on the spot, but are you talking about subsequent overdubs?
you might be right, but: While all the other musicians in the band do have a professional background as musicians for decades, Fred Gehring ("seriously annoyed by dwindling awareness of the Beatles-songbook; chairman of the (future) Beatles Preservation Society - drums, vocals" - this is how Gehring is introduced on the band's website) only played drums in his childhood, became CEO at the Hilfiger fashion label, quit the job in 2014 to pursue his "true calling" and founded The Analouges together with Bart van Poppel, the band's musical genius and director. While van Poppel travelled the world to get all the "analogue" equipment together (instruments, amplifiers, microphones, etc.), it was Gehring who financed all these purchases ...
2:25 Damn, respect!
this chap does the Lennon songs very well
Yeah😃

And 99% original instrumentation (same era)
No matter how hard the song is, you nail it every single time. Even John and George applause from above.
John ..probably not
One of the unique songs of the Beatles, none of the bands would or will think of those one minute + drops of music genius
Fantastic performance and incredible lyrics
Makes me want to go to Netherlands!!
You guys are fantastic and amazing song !
One of my favourite Beatles songs and an amazing version of it.
Keep on doing what you do. It's FAB
The nearest you’ll get to the real thing!
1:52 Love the way the drummer continues with 4/4 time while the others move to 3/4 time.
I usually have a very hard time with people or bands doing Beatles covers BUT.....
THIS WAS ON THE MONEY!!! Thank you for posting this beauty 💗
Great job guys. With Love from Liverpool x
In my top 5 Beatles song today and I know it will change tomorrow. Great job
Best cover I've heard

I wanted to hear the drum at the very end but it got drowned out. Still a hell of a job guys.
That was excellent
Perfect 👍

Good job you guys! Awesome! You really nailed it.
Such an unusually song. But so magnificent !!! All the disconnected parts really do work together, somehow.

I heard John got idea of this song from TV or some ads. I think he must have mistaken. Happiness is warm Guam, US territory you know.
Nicee
👍👍👍
A reallyze beatles in concert like the album
Did anybody notice the differnece in tempo in this song that is exactly the same as on the record!
They play with a click track based on the original recording. That's how meticulous they are!
very difficult song....well done !!
Lennon’s stem is natuurlijk onmogelijk te copieren . Zijn stem was een van de belangrijkste redenen voor het weergaloze succes van de Beatles. When I hold you in my arms komt er het dichts bij 😊
Juste pour info... John n'a jamais chanté cette chanson. C'est une composition de George Harrison, chantée par lui-même sur le double blanc.
Lennon's voice was/is everything!!!

I don't think they do it "better". They do it exactly the same and that's what makes the magic
@@meestuinier4486 Exactly. Absolutely agreed.
I wonder if Paul and Ringo even know about them. The Analogues are the ultimate form of flattery!

pure post production

Absolutely fantastic till the hook.. but to be fair its near impossible to get that part as good as john would do it...decent but not close

Better than the original

happiness is a warm gun is hardrock song. imo
as much as i sort of agree, i think we have to go with Paul’s helter skelter for that
Why is this guy so cute (I'm not gay at all)
No doubt, good performance,but…..The Beatles are unique, especially the harmony of their voices and finally the nasal-singsonging John’s voice……
Not one of their best!
Great but the oo oo oo o are too on time. missing the swing.. Sounds good tho. Not accurate enough :)
Saw this again. They soo good they can do it!!!! Get that timing don't be scared!
Nice try but nowhere near John`s performance
Are you a musician?
Too heavy on the high hat
Too heavy on the critique. This is great.
@@RickB1792 He's right though. Ringo used his hi hats a lot less than this guy does on all the Beatles later songs.

all of the instruments are perfect, and the background vocals are amazing, however, the lead vocals are crap!
