Ive had parental controls on my computer since I got it and recently my parents decided they wanted to take it off since i'm almost 18. But they couldn't because they forgot the admin password and didn't want to go through resetting everything. So this is really helpful, thanks so much!

It gives me an error saying that "steamsetup" can't be found. I've already tried doing capital letters and a .exe behind it, but none of it seems to work
For anyone that it doesn't work for, make sure there is a space between "set" and the first underscore. That made it work for me.
Edit: I also had to make a new folder in a location on the computer where I did not need admin permissions to create a folder.

I've been dealing with this for a few days, I've tried so many different things but nothing seems to be working. I've been trying to download starew valley, anyone know how to do this?
maybe if we download the games on an external source (AKA another computer) and bring them to the computer, we can run them. Then we can open steam and find the game and add it to the directory. Haven't tried this yet but it might work.

have you opened the bat file in notepad, if yes then try closing it
Hey bro i got you, what you gotta do is make a new folder, and then find the folder in "browse" like he does in the video. remember he said "Make sure the folder you put it in is empty" so just make a new folder, and then use it.

Whoever is having problems creating a file, i suggest you go to your files and create a steam folder and then press install to select what you created. REMEMBER THAT THE FILE NEEDS TO BE EMPTY IN ORDER FOR THIS TO WORK

you need to do the same thing but for easy anti cheats BUT if easy anti cheats isn't in your download folder or a file that you can access you can't but you might be able to

What do you mean by more than once? I’ve got it to open but games don’t downloaded. The ones that do (only two) one of them won’t launch and the other will but it won’t let you play it at all just the menu screen. Do I keep uninstalling it until it just decides to work right?
every day I come back here and check it out, I use it because it's a pain to get the admin every time to use their finger, subbed and liked!

@@Anshul_Barnawa_Live I made a folder then renamed it "Steam Non-Admin" Put the code in the notepad (in the description) and at the end of the name, put .bat. then execute the code by double-clicking it in the folder and it should work. Ignore the other steps, it will still work. Steam said i needed admin but letted me in anyways. *ALSO PUT THE SETUP INSIDE THE FOLDER*

Solved It... You have to create a blank folder on your C: drive tab then put the .bat and .exe in that folder then run the .bat and it'll work. You'll also need to change your destination during the install to your desktop and choose to make new folder. It'll work.
@katie Just type SteamSetup instead of steamsetup.
Or you can just copy the name of the file and paste it there :)

Lightning Lamp. You just need to click open in folder and not open when done. click install steam, then click the arrow that points upward. then select open in folder and then the dialog box will open. :)
