It's awesome that they have two guys who can cover the bass as great as they do. Or better, that they have at least two people who can cover each range. It allows them to be as versatile as they are. Also, that there are no egos in the group. They don't mind to blend in the background and being awesom doing it. Background harmonies are so important, not only the guy who takes the lead, provides the vocal percussion or does the bassline. Have you seen their newest release, I've Seen, yet? It's an original by Tim he wrote (and recorded) before he joined Home Free. They newest video to the song is a re-recording of it and is the one with a storyline. Tim is singing lead (and is all over the place with his range) and as a result Chance is doing the bassline, and doing an awesome job with it. And it's such a beautiful song.

The credits mention a Nederland Church of Christ. I don't see it mentioned anywhere, but since I first saw this video I have been wondering if Tim's mom attends a non-instrumentalist church. My own church is Independent Christian, part of the Restoration Movement. The two other denominations in that movement are the Disciples of Christ and the independent non-instrumentalist Church of Christ. It would be interesting if it is, given his skill at singing acapella.
This footage was taken where I live and trust me, it only shows a fraction of the flooding and damage from Hurricane Harvey. It was rough going for a while. Gotta love Home Free for always stepping up though. Thanks guys ~ great reaction.

What a great message to head off the weekend. It’s appropriate for hurricane season and obviously did a lot of good for the people in Texas. I’ve been through a couple of Cat 1 hurricanes and several mighty tropical storms. These seem small compared to what they had, but they can still do a lot of damage (I lived in the Lowcountry of SC and now in coastal Western Florida). All you can do is find shelter and hunker down. Gotta say --- This (or they got this) came together fast and initial request goal of like $10K to re-stock the church; think it was exceeded by a lot within like 24hrs (maybe 12?) but overall went to well over $100K... and some of those proceeds went to the victims of the next storm the following few days after in Florida (areas). When HF asked their fans -- they stepped fast and exceeded!!! Love these guys!!! : ) Be Safe
Harvey wasn't fun we just start picking up this time in boats. I was fortunate to not have flooded but if I went 2 blocks in any direction it was. Everyone helps with what they can however they can. Love these guys. Enjoy

I think i heard the guys are recording at home for a new album that could come layer this year. I'm assuming it's with Adam Bastien. They are performing at Veterans Fest in Hasting, MN, to help at risk veterans. I think it's just been Tim and friends previously, but nice to know they are making the time to help.
The purpose of the song and video is great. The feel of the song, the vibe too. But when I listen to the lyrics, as a pagan I always get icky when I hear people sing about God/the Lord. I always try to find a thing in the lyrics I can relate to, some common ground. I couldn't really, but the melody is nice and the guys are smiling. Happy they can help and I hope they raised a lot of money with this song

By the way,Jillian, being called a cherub doesn't mean baby angels with chubby cheeks. A cherub is a throne guardian of which the devil was the highest one in charge. They are dragon like with 4 wings. Think of the Chinese dragons. That's what they look like. Really,guess I would prefer to equate with the strength of the cherubim rather than with sitting on clouds.

Another thing that churches promote are angels with wings. The only ones with wings are cherubim and seraphim. Seraphim are fiery serpent like beings. A perfect example is of the fallen,demonic Kokopelli that people have in their homes mainly in the southeast US and Central America. Angels are male and look like people. I've done some deep study on ancient near middle east religions and the old testament. Interesting stuff.

I agree with Jillian, I love hearing Chance on bass, he does it so well, he isn't as low as Tim, and as much as I Love Tim, I think I like Chance's bass more. That's only my opinion.
