They played this live when I saw them in July. There was a lot of crowd surfing going on, and I was right in the front, so I had to keep watch for people coming over head. I was crying, but as I turned to catch someone, with a a tear rolling down my cheek, I knew this was exactly where I needed to be. It is a moment I will always remember. I absolutely love this band, and all they have given to me. IA for life.
This song resonates so deeply with me. A toxic partnership forced me into one of the lowest points of my life recently, unfortunately this person had a grip on me that I didn't even realise, it took a lot of opinions from my family and friends to realise fighting for this person was not worth it, that I wasn't going crazy and that she was not treating me fairly. I have left that part of my life behind now and have found a newfound appreciation and passion for life, theres definitely still moments of struggle but I have found a way to give my life purpose without her, and I think thats most of the work done towards healing. Awesome to see it resonates with other people too! Im surprised they debated on finishing and releasing this track, its beautiful!
