i can't believe there's no one called Joe who works at PoliticsJOE!? Where is JOE? GIVE US JOE!
The Dave channel wasn't founded by a Dave, either. It's almost as if there's a commercial calculation in the choosing of these company names ... 😮
The day Lord Farage becomes a thing is the day I launch the military campaign.
Now that is a form of military service I can ge5t behind.
A true patriot.
The only form of national service that is both morally just and popular
I think the clear difference of opinion between the hosts is around the question of invading Ireland from a while back.
The density of political content here is frankly mind-boggling
You almost sounded like that bot with the panty avatar
I am increasingly alarmed by Ava's lack of enthusiasm for expressing anti-nonce sentiment.
It's time for an enquiry.
yeah cos its always the people *loudly* declaring they aint nonces that are the *least* suspicious 😏
Noncesense
My earliest political memory is david cameron being elected - currently 22
My earliest memory was 9-11, which is basically the same.
I think bigotgate for me
Mine is Blair, it's only marginally better.
@@girv98 now that was wild.
I hate you all lol
Mine was Westland Helicopters, but in my defence I was very young.
Can’t work out if Ava smoked 100 rollies at the TS concert or contracted COVID. The cough is real.
She looks hungover as all hell, the poor dear.
Colombian cold
Drank all night
I'm sure the smash cut at 16:19 wasn't due to any deeply inappropriate jokes about Stephen Milligan.
Sorry, I didn't mean to drag the mood down with the question about how to stay positive while engaging with UK politics 😂
Day 30 of asking for a production team microphone.
Soreen isn't bloody posh it's old school and Northern. Bloody post southerners just think it's hipster.
For what it's worth i'm a southerner and I've always thought of it as just a solid dense and vaguely healthy snack. #notallsoutheners
Yes, definitely not posh, vegan too and eaten in Barnsley, People’s Republic of South Yorkshire. 🚩
ur northern upper crust just as boujee and twice as loud as the southern ones so jog on, malt loaf is as middle class as avacado toast, ur jus telling on urself
@@Kohanman lol
@@Kohanman nothing upper crust around here you dimwit

As a scouser I am delighted with all the Liverpool love.
Biggest misstep this podcast has taken, is Ollie not screaming at the beginning 9f each episode.
Got to love PoliticsJoe for being such a fresh humorous look on stuff. A real relief from the norm.
9:03 ironically he was recently listed as among the top 10 sexiest men according to a poll of about a thousand British women, Jeremy Clarkson came top of that poll too.
Is Rishi doing Olis numbers or vice versa. It’s 200 if you count it like this. Pure podcasts it’s only 78.
5:25 Out of context "Grant Hanley had the most touches in Hungry's box" is a weird point! :P
When talking about growth outside of London, you can tell Oli has just finished reading Torsten's book
Call me a simp, Ava’s a tall queen and that ain’t nothing to be criticising.
I'm loving the green tint to the studio. Very Matrix.
I have honestly loved this podcast and sad when I dont see a new video on the feed. For context - I am Australian and have limited knowledge on British politics and have no ability to vote to influence UK politics in any way. I just love the humour and find it wildly entertaining. The intro always cracks me up.
200 on a technicality 😂
Ed and Ava, please move to Liverpool, you can be in London in just over 2 hours whenever you need to be and Labour were calling for people to be councillors up here a month or so ago.
On the day of 7/7 my school teacher rolled out the tv. My teacher considered that we might be concerned about the events, which I appreciated. Some of us had relatives or friends currently in London, so It seemed to me that he did this out of consideration. I think some kids were getting texts from family members or something so people were starting to get confused bits of information and it would be better to be informed through the news.
But then the guy sitting next to me started chatting utter shite about how it was obviously the French because we had won the olympics. I think it's one of the reasons why I've always felt a little uncomfortable with giving the vote to 16 yr olds. We were around 15 at the time, I think. Someone like that kid would have no hope arriving at a sensible political opinion in todays world of influencers.
Congratulations on your 200th podcast sort of if you look at it in a particular way

Ok.. so I dint hallucinate Laura while sat outside Wetherspoon’s just now then. Good to know.
Ava isn't wearing black boots again today - is everything alright with her?
No idea why, but i think you three should youtube a show from the 90s called Dr Kats. whenever i watch you three im reminded of the bar scenes in that cartoon haha. its like their your spirit animals XD and hey Ed, keep up the good work lads and lass
Carol Vorderman - Women and Equalities.
I never thought of Ava as being overly tall but the perspective that was created especially with how high she was above the table behind her made her look like a giant !!
Should have seen her standing next to Laura during the pre/post Question Time streams… either Ava is really tall or Laura is incredibly short
If the UK wants to decentralise the economy, we should invest in cheap train transportation. A good start is nationalise the railway companies. Then, it should abolish crap housing rules, so more houses are built and add more protection to buyers or renters.
Damn. I was at work in Streatham (well, playing pool downstairs) when 9/11 happened.
And I was in Clapham on 7/7 struggling to get home.
I was _not_ at school. 🥺
Re Soreen malt loaf being posh.... I used to eat those straight from the packet when i first moved out and had no idea how to cook.
"Mum's not here to tell me no, it's my place and I'll eat like a feral goblin". Never realised I was a *middle class* goblin though.
The fact that none of them said they’d want Mhairi Black in their cabinet is shocking…
I owe Edd an apology, I thought the dodgy tash was a fashion thing, but I once had a wart right in the middle of my chin, I never thought to grow hiding facial hair! Nice to see his face free of both coldsore and dodgy tash!
for a while there he was resembling a chuckle brother..
In 1990 I watched every game of the World Cup in a pair of Union Jack Shorts. My mom washed them the day of the Semi with Germany. She cost England just like Ed cost Scotland. #TashGate
please say you're gonna stream or record the live for us what dont live in London
Genuinely thought Ed had fishnets on before realising its a mesh thing under of the table 😂
Pretty sure it's both
“Hate nonsense”
“You two went for the brown shirts this morning, yeah?”
I don’t know why I come back to this channel
nonces*
My memory of the death of Lady Di was my youngest coming into our bedroom saying "Daddy., daddy Cartoon Channel not working". I got the Sky remote out and discovered that they were broadcasting the news on all channels. Very sad, she was fit as.
Ava's tanks a firmly on Liam Thorpe's lawn
They did aame with me when 9/11 happened rollee out the tv i was 8. I also had to travel on the tube either the day after or within a couple days of 7/7. The train was also stopped for over an hour underground which made it even more terrible.
200th already, the 100th feels like yesterday. You lot grow up so fast 😖
solid q&a
20:38 the question here is an interesting one. The issue is many local people from the north/ midlands might not like places like Leeds, Nottingham etc becoming more like London in the diversity/ culture area. Yes those places are diverse already, but the local areas aren’t but will become so.
First political memory: the credit crunch. The joys of being gen z
24 here and trying to think of mine. If this counts this is likely mine too, it was everywhere
😂 that stupid awkward round of applause they give themselves.
yes, it's almost like it's intended to be a little joke
Ed looks like a young Eddie Marsan without the tash
David Baddiel
Don’t go to Darlington. I did it for 9 months and ran back to Glasgow when they let me work out the Edinburgh office 😂
That’s unfair we’re absolute benefit scroungers here and I sometimes get the kids soreen it’s nice
I mean, we don't live in third world country - yet.
@@cameronfateweaver2206 the term “third world” never sat right with me tbh
@@lewischerry3552 poverty and low standards of living should not sit right with anyone tbh.
About the live show, I'd be interested to hear about what say, if any, polJoe had in setting ticket prices? Concert tickets have become so much more expensive since covid. 45 quid is pretty decent for a good quality seat, so fair play.
Never watched a podcast episode in more need of editing out dead air than this. Great once you get chatting but some editing would be nice lads.
Single market or ganga sounds like a quiz round.
Of all the places to pick both Leeds and Nottingham have several large financial institutions that operate out of them, that have in turn created a lot of satellite financial and tech businesses and industry.
Had to come here and listen because the Spotify version is way too quiet for some reason.
Come on then, own up. Whose decision was it to book the live show at KO time of the match that winners of England's group would play in? OG!
Easy answer to the conservative party influence is most people with wealth wish to conserve it and the tories were the party that was able to do that via policy for them... until recently, which now tory doaners are shifting to labour because they are more fiscally viable after liz truss.
When is Olly going to start his new podcast "Cannabis Joe" also is there enough appetite for a PolJoe tour at some point?
was so jacked to tell you guys that it's papacy not popery but turns out both are right :/
What have dehydrated aromatic botanicals got to do with anything?
Tbf lads you're discounting the massive financial industry in Leeds. it's not london but it's pretty good
Scything school with my mate and seeing 9/11 on TV.
Reform coming for Yanis fits to be fair.
There's no link to tickets for the live show. I want to come and you're not making it easy. Maybe I'm just a clinical moron.
Yes there is
@@PoliticsJOE Ohhh no there isn't!
gg guys
I love that Pursglove got ridiculed this episode. He deserves more bullying for supporting Boris.
I'm amazed by the number of people I speak to who are genuinely going to vote reform. Super scary how many are buying into their negative rhetoric
what can you do?, a good 30% of voters are gammons..
love podcast hate nonsense it's the politics Jo podcast ladies and [Applause] gentlemen
(bit boring for the 200th, but the algorithm will do what the algorithm does)
Genuinely thought he said "love podcasts, hate nonces" at the beginning 😂
@@chester6343 He does! That's their tagline, but I just post what the auto-subtitles mangle it into to amuse myself.
21:00 When Brexit finishes kicking in aren't all the financial companies leaving London.
Why do they clap themselves? Genuine question. Its bizzare.
🤠 💜
Day 7 of asking for a production mic
Day 1 of asking for an air conditioner mic
Oli, how do you feel about Fin Vs the internet now refer to you as "Sluggers" and would choose you to be marooned on a deserted island with them
Where's the tache gone Ed?
GB Energy?
You know it’s NOT an energy company, don’t you?
It’s an private investment company for Tory’s
Beth Rigby is mother
What did Ava say was the biggest scandal at 15:30? I couldnt make it out, sounded like prefume, but i cant think what that sounds like.

@@drawingboard82 oh wow, thanks for that. Super helpful 👍
@@Godmil any time bud!
Fairly disheartened that this isn't a drunk mega pod. Should have happened, let Ed drink his sorrows away.
Is it "love podcasts hate nonces" or "love podcasts hate nonsense"? 😅
Nonces
stolen valour, that description does not equate to 200th podcast imo
The reason the right of the Tory party has so much power is because Tory MPs just can’t get enough of pandering to them
Shock, Londoner thinks London is the best city ever...
End the potpourri
Sounds like the start of a joke
what happened to that hotel chair sitting Scottish boy's face !!
Three tired-sounding people fail to answer viewer questions while being startled by a wonky aircon unit : it's the 200th episode special! 🎉🎉
Wouldn't the most Woke meal deal have to include an LGBT by default?
...and also coconut water?
Can you just call yourselves Podcast Joe?
It would be nice if the three people on this podcast didn’t tell each other their private jokes for ages and spoke about what the video is called.
Vote Reform 👍👍👍💯
you know reform dont believe in global warming?
Gotta say I love listening to this unwatchable shite. It's classic British telly.
Low energy, badly produced, jibba jabba
@12:50 Ollie! the mistake you made with the 100th podcast is that it was actually number 30 something. This isn’t 200, your maths is as bad as your ability to save a house deposit you renty little rent boy
