FIAT 500 w/ Double Hayabusa V8 || Dyno Testing & Racing 11.000RPM Monster

- Bernard Whilhelm is the Owner/Driver of the Puch TR5 created by the late Georg Pacher, powered by a V8 made from the junction of two Suzuki Hayabusa Engine Heads mated to a bespoke Engine Block. With well over 300Hp/11.000Rpm, this now mid-engined, RWD Spaceframed Monster has been one of the most unique machines of Austrian Hillclimb Racing since its return a couple years.
Set for a number of evolutions during 2021, here we can see it doing some dyno testing and attacking St. Agatha Bergrennen 2019. It is a mighty impressive creation, which certainly looks, sounds and goes like it is intended to. And hopefully it´ll be even more impressive the next time we feature it...

I love how the front of the car shows the emotion that the 500 was forced to be a car it didn't want to be and now is scared of it's own power
D:
D8
LMAO Now I can't unsee it.
of its own power
BRUH HAHAHAHAHHA
I’m guessing it started with some lowering springs and got a bit out of hand.
@@inanimateuser9828 bruh yeas
Na, a cold air intake started this lol
😂
It was a burnt tail light bulb that sparked the idea
No he ran out of gas and decided "while i'm at it".
Thats not a Fiat 500, thats a Fiat 5000
Hmm smart one
50000
Fiat 2600
It's over 9000!!
Fiat 2598
That sound! THAT SOUND! Insane! Kinda like an older F1 car! All that innovation is amazing, and to think it wasn’t built by some huge company or OEM makes it all the better!
Hayabusa Is owned by a pretty big company.
Fiat Is a pretty big company...
Pretty big companies make all of these builds possible.
@@expressionoffreedom7165 I don't think you have any idea about how these cars are made. It is entirely bespoke space framed chassis (Bunch of tubes welded together to form structure) made in house by teams of engineers, fabricators and welders not a "pretty big company" merely a team of people... It bares only the slight resemblence in looks to the original body shell which happens to be a Fiat 500. "Hayabusa" is a 1300cc motorbike made by Suzuki in Japan everything apart from the Cylinder heads are pretty much custom. This is the furthest thing from being made by a "Pretty big company"... Only a couple of parts that were never originally intended to be mated together were made by a big company such as Suzuki or Fiat.
These engines are in Radicals and can be purchased. Just like you can buy Cossworth or Renault V8.
@@smokepeddler powertec(the tuner of the engine) is radical nowadays. The engine existed before radical did.
@@prtheid it was made by one man and a few friends of him.
Props to the man (or guys) who got this car to this level. Impressive is an understatement 🤤
Sounds like a V8-era F1 car. And if you think about it those engines were actually not that far off this one so it makes sense :D
Architecturally there are some similarities between this engine and a Cosworth DFV for example. So the sound is always going to be pretty nice ;)
Totally
@@HillClimbMonsters the dfv was itself an evolution of an inline 4 so a good comparison to make!
Who builds such cars ? I would have one
It sounds awesome but the F1 v8s could rev to 20.000rpm. Almost twice the rpm haha.
a true monster, everything about this screams frankenstein
I thought Chimera but that brings too much TVR vibes (Not that this is bad actually, and the insanity is on par).
Can’t believe I’ve only just found this. I had no idea something like this even existed. One of the best sounding cars I’ve ever heard.... it’s euphoric
Omg. The sound is incredible.
Almost as "Herbie Gone Wild" edition.
I think that's a testament to how well those Hayabusa V8's are built being able to hit the same rpm's & redline
Something tells me electric motors and batteries will never have the appeal of projects like this!
You would be correct...
Of course they don't. There's something special about ICE that Electric vehicle lack of, the engine and exhaust note....
Don't be too surprised when you hear what electronic exsplosions sound like in the near future. I know what you are saying.. but there's something being built and tested that kinda combines large electron exsplosions and the normal combustion engine, the future ahead is so exciting!!!
maybe if we turn electric motors into kind of electric v12's or something.
Haha correct, but if it had an electric motor to supplement low rpm torque, that would be the best... if only there was a manufacturer that would make an easy plug and play, open source kit...
This thing is too cute ... Brutally cute. Like the Hulk with bunny ears and a gatling gun.
CarP*rn. Fantastic.
Being this long it makes it look more like a 600 than a 500, especially on the B and C pillars
yes. u are right
It sounds like the glory days of 90’s Indycar racing
If Nintendo made a race car it would look exactly like this.
"Mario R500" :D
It would look like a shitty kart
Bruh for real though
Lmaoo
And I'd buy it too
2.6L v8?... thats what dreams are made of. I LOVE IT
Denke es sind 2 Reihenmotoren
That engine sounds so smooth. Well done guys!
I had a few Fiats back in the 1970s and 1980s and I damn sure clicked on this madness.
It's making bang bang noises. I love it!
Now that looks like a blast to drive. Wow!
Just think the level of skills to accomplish such project, hats off guys.
Mad skills...🤟🏻🤟🏻
A fiat WITH two Suzuki engine AND Benz logo on the side.
HOLD MY PIZZA ! 💪🏾❤
Busa Busa
-little caesars
It is a single V8 engine. But it uses 2 Hayabusa engine heads mated through a bespoke block ;)
The axis powers rise again?
These bike engine v8's are amazing, imagine if they had EIGHT TO ONE HEADERS
🤤
It’s likely a flat-plane crank setup with 180 degree headers, but I can’t really tell. I didn’t see a good shot of the setup.
There is no crossplane busa, and even if it was, would sound more like an r1
He uses both sides of the road, like an Amazon Prime driver ; )
"Honey dear, I'm just going to lower the springs....that's all"
Magnifique ! sérieusement le boulot abattu doit être énorme pour arriver à ce résultat......Énorme bravo !
Let's look forward to seeing these wonderful machines out, on the hill climbs and tracks when we are covid19 free,, and life gets normal,, happy Christmas and New year,, from Northern Ireland great video ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
Un'auto da mettere subito in commercio..
Bellissima!!💪👍👏
Now that's what I call a widened stance !
It looks like they literally doubled the cars width lol.
Big respect to this team
Brilliant project! Sure looks fun.
Love this car! Smooth driving, too.
That's a beast! Freaking awesome, pull some serious G force in that at full whack! Hell yeah😈
You guys are insane ! I love it !
Fabulous machine, sounds amazing too. Has to be the best Fiat 500 ever.
This took me straight back to 1982 group B rallying regulated by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The Group B regulations fostered some of the fastest, most powerful, and most sophisticated rally cars ever built 👌
Double Busa!!!...🤘🤘🤘
Kind of looks like a old school mini coop, crazy build 😊
That thing on the dyno is possibly the best noise ever!!!!!
I love the old fiat 500 and the old mini cooper .
Absolutely crazy!!
great for city driving you can get around town fast
so amazing , head the exhauted sound , chill
That thing handles like a beauty.
Awesome, and then some, gotta love that Busa torque and sound, it’s very F1 like
Geniale Idee! Und der Sound, Klasse!
That sounds unreal! Monster!
I love two things :
1. Hayabusa
2. What you did
Seriously hatsoff. Wish I could feel it for once irl before I die.
[Saved, subscribed, liked , shared, strapped into my closet of the best videos. :) ]

Sounds like a busa racing itself. Very cool build.
STRAORDINARIO... SUPER Entusiasmante....👍👌❤️
Respekt vor der Arbeit
Now that looks like FUN!!

😍😍Que ingenieria hay ahi!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

AWESOME!!!
That thing is THICCCC
This is one of the sickest most original an out of nowhere build i've seen
This is wild
this is intense!
Je confirme ! Hayabusa c'est violent !
love the sound
Awesome, sound reminds me of a V8 F1 car. Goes quite nicely too.
This is beautiful wow
Oh my, What a beast.
That's nuts
I bet that thing is a blast to drive. Pretty cool.
Imagine the sound with equal length all into one headers!
Nix herrlicher Subaru, sondern einen absolut heftigen Fiat 500! Absolutes Monster, damit könnte ich mir vorstellen über den Hockenheim zu bügeln. Weltklasse!!!!
Absolutely lethal
Man, this thing has to be terrifying to drive with that screaming high redline
Bussa blisssss!!
Narrator: 1:11 Here comes the wonderful Subaru
Fiat, Driver, Crowd and Engine: wat 👁👄👁
i would be like this ugly car to be subaru...no way
Best sound ever
Holy shite! That thing is awesome!
Wicked build. Kudos
Awesome sound.
that's very unique one!😮👏☕
A real revv- master
Looks Fun AF!!
This thing is TERRIFYING! ...I love it!
SICK
Una locura que buena máquina 👏👏👏👍
You mean, 3% of Fiat 500, 97% of random mind-blowing things
😎 Wow that THING is COOL‼️🚙💨
8 cylinder go cart! With 20” wide tires!! Awesome!
Awesome
Someone wrote a song once titled "Low Down, Ornery and Mean". That pretty much describes this machine.
Lonesone*, onery, and mean
Waylon Jennings
that is a very fast popcorn machine!
Great engine and nice sound
Hilariously cool!
The wheel arches are wider than the original width of the car. That thing must corner like a train on tracks.
I need one of these in my life lol
I love these Hartley V8’s
Monster ✅
That Fiat is well and truly over 9000
I came for the popcorn 😂
Forfivecents!!!! I doubt if anything with wheels on this planet has that power to weight ratio... Incredible engineering, monster created, check 👍🏻☑️
