Yep, I think Occultist is definitely a viable alternative to Assassin, almost any class could run this build due to the sheer damage it outputs, you also get the added benefit of starting from the Witch's passive area if you run Occultist

A +2 Power Charge helmet is pretty much lucking out on a Corruption (from Temple ideally), to make the base you just get a Warlord base and alt spam for +1 Power and Awakener orb it with a Shaper helmet that has elevated "Nearby enemies take Increased Elemental Damage" The best mods to get on a rare ring would be Crit Multi, Stats (so you can tattoo more of your tree), Life (if needed), resists etc
Not sure if it was overlooked or im missing something, but when you do the 2 hit / primer setup, the "is enemy on full life" wouldnt account for the true damage it deals since the first, setup discharge would probably take them off full life
Yep I realized this after I was looking back at the configs, the 2nd hit would have the full life mod ticked off, should be roughly balanced since I don't set shock to max amount even though we should have it almost always at 50%
you can also use thread of hope crimson jewel with massive Ring to get thief's craft and get wisdom of the glade on neck annoited. +1 power charge this way
Have you done any testing for stacking 4x corrosive elements (3 from large, 1 from megalomaniac)? Not sure if it works properly, i tested on some white mobs and they get all 3 exposures every cast as i can see the icons. But against bosses i cant see the icons come up. If it works like 100% chance to give all 3 exposures on hit because discharge has all 3 element tags then it might be worthwhile but as of now i cannot confirm if it works for bosses.
That looks really promising, if it can work against bosses thats a really effective way of getting exposure for massive damage, for the glass cannon ToTA farmer its not as important cause we go for the Mastery where we invert enemy resistances and exposure actually is counter intuitive for that

You cannot take all of them, different ones conquer different notables. It depends on the number, if you have POB you can copy ones from trade in there and see if they conquer the notables or not.
been trying to build this but got a question. for the dagger mastery how does it scale the damage when the main hand is void battery?. testing on my pob but it doesnt scale the dps.
They dont work, they are disabled, sockets inside are disabled, the stats on it dont do anything. The only part that works is the giving charge on weapon swap. The boots were programmed so they always give charges, and substract them if you are moving in the next frame. Because of the swaping part, it refreshes every effect of items and then substracts it right after, but because it is disabled, it doesnt get to the removing charges part because the item is disabled
Yep, this build actually can be done with pretty low investment but scales more and more crazy with investment, my current endgame PoB I've linked is just over 200+ Divs invested but around the 40-50 div mark is where the build started feeling really good, the minimum to get this build going is the Ralaksesh boots and a Badge of the Brotherhood, potentially also a set of Void Batteries (you can use Stormprisms as a budget alternative too until you can get Void Batteries)
tried ice trap bossing (insta kill in 1 server tick), failed, gear sold. lucky me: i got my TS Deadeye ready, a bunch of maps and my lvl 98 Assassin still exists :)

I haven't included a link because this build has been around for a very long time, my guildmates have run this build for the last 3 leagues and they are the ones that have refined this version of the build, Emilgod made a more map-friendly version that made the playstyle much more popular (FastAF and few other channels have also made guides using the Ralakesh boot tech a very long time ago)

I would say the major strengths of going Assassin would be: 1. Better choices for Forbidden Flame & Flesh Jewels (i.e. Clockwork, Polymath, Mistwalker etc.) 3. Better pathing on the tree to free up points to run more Cluster set-ups (Megalomaniacs, Voices etc.)

You cannot take all of them, different ones conquer different notables. It depends on the number, if you have POB you can copy ones from trade in there and see if they conquer the notables or not.

Yes thats correct, just deactivate the boots and they'll still work when you do a weapon swap

I have an assassin discharge that works without tattoos, so yes it’s possible. I countered this with a ring implicit +% strength. If that helps

Getting a +1 Power Charge is more important either on a Warlord mod or Corrupt, the enchant is nice to have but less important

how do you freeze enemies with ele focus socketed with discharge?
Ele Focus is for the 1-Shot version of the build, normally you run a Elemental Penetration support so you can have Freeze/Chill

Build still works fine, just tested it, maybe check if you have a weapon skin? That was the reason there was some issues recently

Probably Tree pathing on Assassin is more favourable. Probably more damage? Less defences too.

Way to squishy for me, died in 3 of 4 sanctums. Cant Hit the Life Flask quick enough.
Might be a case of not having enough damage to kill things before they can hit back, could you share your PoB and I'll have a look
