- “Them” means community. It’s relational.

3. Blessing is a call for growth, not staying the same.
- Stretching of faith.
- Fruitfulness and multiplication.
4. The blessing of God is global.
5. The blessing of God is the promise of provision.
- Gen 1:29 “I give you”
- It’s not something we work for. God blesses us out of His abundant grace, mercy and love.
Blessing connects the people of God to the purposes of God.
God blesses us to be a blessing.

Blessing is not a thing that God does for us or that He gives to us.
Our God is a God of blessing, and He is a blessing God; blessing is
not something apart from God - blessing is God Himself.
Just as the grace of Christ denotes that Christ is grace and grace is Christ,
the life of God denotes that God is life and life is God,
and the love of God denotes that love is God and God is love,
so the blessing of God denotes that God is blessing and blessing is God.
The unique and real blessing in the universe is God Himself - blessing is God,
and God is a blessing God. Many think that blessing is something from God,
something outward that He does or gives to us, something material that
He bestows on us and thus He makes us happy.
The second part of the promise was that God would bless Abraham. Throughout history, God has indeed greatly blessed the nation of Israel. Despite all of the oppression from the nations, God protected her and provided for her while all of her enemies were cursed. Ultimately, God blessed Israel with the good land. We cannot deny that Jehovah has taken great care of His people. However, this is merely a partial and outward fulfillment of God’s blessing. The real blessing today is not to be found in outward or material provisions from God. From the view of the entire Bible, this blessing is the blessings of God’s creation and redemption, including all that God wants to give man-God Himself and all that He has in this age and in the age to come. The blessing, according to Galatians 3:14, eventually is the promise of the Spirit. Thus, the real blessing is God Himself as the Spirit.
I think we don’t truly understand what a blessing is. I think there is a spiritual law governs blessing more than we know. Why was it that when Jacob tricked his father Jacob into giving him his brothers blessing that included ruling the tribe, Isaac wasn’t able to take the blessing back? Is there more to what a blessing is? Is it a spiritual decree that we are bounded by? I think about these little details
Blessing if we obey His commandments and curses when we disobey His commandments. Deuteronomy 28
Like not eating unclean (pork, shrimps, levitucus 11). Discerning holy from profane. Observing Shabbat, Passover, Feast Tabernacles, all biblically appointed feast (Christmas nor Father's day never included.)
