That’s not what it means..This phrase isn’t In the Word of God. The Apostles went out and were given the power to establish the foundations of our Christian faith. What most want it to mean is that Apostles teaching is for today, they use creative language to make you think they can speak Prophetically, Heal you or provide a place to cast out demons. Run from this doctrine! I haven’t seen one Apostolic teacher that has been 100% right. So then they do Not speak for God! Amen..

I attended a apolostic church for about a year and half .. i .oved the worship and teachings truth word of God ..howrver they had theie own man made rules which is not the word of God or twisted word ..
Thank you for this , it was a sermon that was sent to me and it was just to much going on in the church and his message was all out of context with the word he was teaching and i was told he was an apostolic "preacher" but it just couldn't sit with me

It sounds like you don't believe in pastor authority I would like to talk to you about that you was right that a workplace has that kind of authority let's put it this way a police officer has an authority and ways to tell you what to do so you may not go to jail a doctor has the authority I'm telling you what to do to prevent things that happen in the hope that you live longer a judge tells you what to do and you have to listen to him or there was a consequence either you go to jail or something so why is it all those things can tell you what to do but a pastor cannot I do understand those scriptures there's a lot of scriptures on pastor authority I attend a oneness apostolic Pentecostal Church we are separate from a lot of the other ones we do not abuse any scriptures my wife can vouch for that she came out of a cult religion a pastor is there to help you for your salvation to go to heaven

Acts 1:17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry. Acts 1:21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, Acts 1:22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection. No one is alive today who was around when Jesus gave himself for us. Don’t be silly. If their are any apostles today, why aren’t they at childrens hospital healing the sick. I never saw anyone raise the dead. There are evangelists,pastors and teachers today. Thats all. Furthermore, you need to get out of that old testament written to israel. We are in Romans-Philemon today. The ministry of the Holy Spirit given to Paul. Grace. Truth stings, but is necessary.
You are either deceived or are a deceiver. The Apostolic age has ended. The Word of God is our authority now. You are trying to denigrate the authority of the Bible. This is not even debatable. If you can’t understand the Word of the Shepherd, maybe you aren’t one of His sheep. Satan comes as an angel of light.

He does call us to relationship with Jesus.
My conflict comes into play because Jesus said follow me. He didn't say create a church to follow me. And it all gets lost in translation and motive.
