Get to know our founder and CEO, Harleen Laroia!
In her words, "My name is Harleen Laroia, and I am the founder of SimplySmart Childcare.
I had to find a lot of different things in my own life before I found my calling. I found the courage when i lost my corporate job not to go back to another one, and my own inner ability to take everything I had and put it into creating SimplySmart.
I have two children, and the search for a daycare or Montessori for them made me realize how difficult it was to find quality childcare. This inspired me to start Simply Smart.
From the beginning i knew children needed to learn and explore. I also wanted to make a difference in the lives of people. Today my company makes a difference in the lives of hundreds of children and adults.
I love giving parents the peace of mind that their child is taken care of and they grow in their personal goals. Through our franchising model, I aim to enable individuals who are motivated to contribute to their community and achieve their life goals.
I try to enunciate work-life balance with my team. I worked in corporate and i know what its like to slave away and i did not want my company to represent that. Look at me - when I i need to unwind I go on long hikes, do yoga and spend time with my husband and children. They keep me grounded and i could not accomplish what i need to do in a day without them!"
