really inspiring, Ni is the best musical instruments company out there, their vision really is in tune with our generation and the way we see and feel music.
Trying to hunt down some olive oil tracks (since the sounds appeal to me) but I can't seem to find any. The myspace page has nothing and the olive oil site is confusing since it's in Japanese and not like any other music site i've seen ;) A free sample would be nice.
Anyone know where I can find drum samples (mostly SNARES) like what he's using? I'm having the hardest time finding this stuff - looking for vinyl, sample libraries, anything you can think of would be helpful...I'm definitely willing to chop them myself if I know what resources to dig for :) THANKS!
Greg Savage James Ollard Thanks for the reply everyone; I'm talking specifics, tho...like anyone know of any artists/albums I can seek out if I'm gonna dig? Currently I'm on some Quincy Jones, Chick Corea kind of stuff but I've yet to find drums like what he's got in this video
JBarber3d What he has is a combination of raw and layered drums. You won't find this in it's current state on a record. What you'll find on records are core sounds, some raw, but the rest has to be built or purchased No way of knowing for sure unless we're sitting there with him. You can find good drums on any motown album as they tend to use the same drummers/percussionist for just about all of their songs. Look into rock albums as well... *Pink Floyd* for example really good drums sounds
Those covers man. I've always asked my self why native instruments won't put a service like that. I mean everybody wants their synths, drum maschines to be uniqe for their style.
This shows that even Asians, in particularly no order or creed CAN make something out of nothing. If you perdue your dreams, anything can become a reality.
