I certainly adore Lesley Gore. What a terrific talent and a girl and always in her life a mature woman with a very fine head on her shoulders. It was a sad day for me when she passed. I wish we had hours more from her or a book from her telling all the stories she must have had yet to tell. Thanks for uploading this terrific interview.

I met Leslie at one of her concerts three years before her death. Her being gay was irrelevant. She had such a vibrant personality, just being around her you could feel her magnetism.I really miss her and play her music often.

A great artist that made her own decisions about her private and public life and her song material. My biggest regret is I was finally going to see her sing in person at a state fair but I got the time mixed up by an hour and I missed her! All her popular songs were great but You Don’t Own Me is a massive classic as an early statement for women as well as a great song. She was misused and abused by the recording industry as were many of the artist of her time.

I noticed how Lesley's face lit up when interviewer Anthony DeCurtis mentioned Lesley's performance on the Tami Show concert of 1964. However, when I as a fan mentioned to Lesley how much I enjoyed her performance on the Tami Show, Lesley shot me daggers meant to kill. What gives? It goes to show the demeanor of celebrities on camera is not quite the demeanor they show off camera.
