TBD you seen the Indonesian alot back in the day in their personal streams and especially in the area 51 collabs when they all lived together and like I just remembered like the bottomless stream they would bs with each other and the translate part of the joke but the thing is they had like 25 jp members to Collab with and 5 new en kohai to deal with literally months between their debut I remember like moons being very beginner at jp and iofi of the 5 languages she knows like translating for her between like pekora or other jp senpais but yeah also unfortunately it's a good marketing tactic cause most of Europe north america and parts of Africa and asia they're almost taught English from the time of British occupation as a second first language or just a secondary language and let's just say 10% of the population are like in the sphere of watching this kinda stuff like a general anime vtuber fan that's like a few hundred thousand in indonesia maybe a few million in Japan and they have no way of being interesting to them all of them but india most of Europe indonesia south Africa usa Canadia the ten percent of an English speakers in the sphere Is you know quarter-half a billion people they can reach out to that 10% is more than if they were national treasures fallowed by they're entire countries even if you only apeal to 1% of that 10 percent audience that's semi fluent in English thats a 2.5-5 million people and like these aren't exact numbers just rough aproximations for the sake of the example like im sure there's probably more than 10% of Japans population is the market base for Japan ect ect but there's a reason a shark who can barely do Japanese greatings and repeat a few quotes from her favorite shows and adult animations is top of the food chain for all vtubers or why a certain dragon ran the companies numbers way before there was an en branch
So my personal take is CN had to die for ID to take off not sure if wed gotten to the point were at now without that but maybe that's just me being pessimistic but it feels like growth has kinda slowed down compared to the peak years and I'm not sure people would've been able to notice how unique and essential ID was with an even more crowded space just in Hololive though I still think a Spanish branch would do well for Hololive seeing as its spoken over a large portion of the world and there's already plenty fans in Hololive that speak or understand Espanol

Your comments about Hololive ID becoming more Indonesian are nice to hear, they can be true to their culture. What I find annoying is more an more Holo EN are starting to do the opposite and cater to the JP audience. I enjoy the fact lots of livers are multi lingual and can colab with lots of others in Holo and speak with all audiences, but livers like Cali, Bae, Fuwomoco and many others moving to Japan and having JP streams just excludes your EN audience.
