Nice upgrades just today I finally got my 17 mm upgrade kit for my Carbon Terminator & I see that Proline has a good choice of wheels i definitely do not want to go much larger then stock heavy wheels would not be good for it with the stock set up. I’ll probably just get the motor mount in preparation for future upgrades I’ll probably run the stock system till something dies I do have a ax 10 system I could put in it. Thanks for the content I try & watch all the videos to see what others are doing with theirs it’s always cool to see what others do with theirs.
That thing is nuts now bro! 🤯 I'm sure there's some construction sites around there with some sweet dunes you could jump. I took the Scooby out to Red Bug Lake Park yesterday and the people were really cool! Have fun and be safe out there
@@OmniMan_Racing I've already installed the upgraded S2 diff out-drive cups, both front and rear, a few weeks ago. Be prepared for a struggle getting the drive gears out of the bottom of the diff cases. They were wedged in so tightly that I had to fab a special puller in order to get them out! Maybe you'll be luckier?
@OmniMan_Racing I just had an amazing weekend with my new 6500kv motor and 20t pinion! Wow it is so much better than the stock 2650kv motor it's a landslide difference!
Why did you go with such a big pinion? I’m waiting for the 40 series mount but was going to stick to the 27t pinion and stock spur. Did you change your spur too?
No choice but to go this big when using this mount with the stock spur. Look again at how my mount is adjusted to almost the smallest that will fit. You aren't sticking to a 27t and I recommend going 2000kv or lower
Hmm. I was planning on using an HW 4268SL 2600kv that I have. Of course I was also planning on running 4s. After watching your video I’m seeing several issues with that plan. Did you consider dropping the spur down in size? They sell a 33T spur - not that I want to order more and wait another month for it… Im fairly new to mods beyond servo upgrades. Curious what you’d suggest.
@@Nutz_forRCs with the limited gearing options you don't want to run 4s with that 2600kv. I suggest a lower kv definitely 2000kv or below. My current setup on video with the gearing and kv I have will do 55mph on 2s and the motor gets really hot just from 2s as is. Even with a heatsink and fan it's too aggressive for anything over 3s
@@Nutz_forRCs also small spur will just cause more issues with heat and you'd need a even bigger pinion just to reach the spur gear. Not ideal, also not worth deleting the center diff and putting that spool of it's a basher
@@OmniMan_Racing thanks for the advice. What size pinion did you use again? The 4s was just to get more speed out of it. And the battery barely fits. I’m very happy to run on 2s. Don’t want to buy a new motor though so I’m gonna try with the higher kv motor. I see what you’re saying about the pinion reaching the spur with that mount. Did you put thicker fluid in the central diff to keep the front wheels on the ground or is it ok as is?

I'll take it out to Southport park this weekend. Some nice big open grass areas to open her up
@@OmniMan_Racing Go get it bro! 🦾
Good job on your upgrades, I got the aluminum one. Waiting on my parts to come and I gonna post some vids, those trucks are sick.
I ordered the Hobbywing 4100KV instead of the 3300KV, oooops lol! Plus the box stock speed gear. It's retarded at this point lol
Did u upgrade the rear diff cups. I’ve been thinking about heating them up hot asf then u dip them in oil to harden them.
I'm still waiting for them to show up in the mailbox

Did you move the ESC back to stock position?

Odd video ....its like I just watched you take your truck for a walk, like you would a dog .lol
