Wow, this is a really interesting take on the Weeping Angels concept. Not necessarily malicious in this case, just angry because they had lost one of their own.
His story telling makes me just want to listen. Just like Vincent Price. They don't sound a like but they get you into the story.
Yes! I feel the same way :) I’ve loved Vincent Price for 50 years, and I see what you mean with the comparison ❤
Very well put
Who is Vincent?
😊o😊ílp
So he only made around $10,000 after buying all the equipment, van, supplies and plane ticket. That's a terrible deal.
The real value he got was the friend he made along the way. Which to be fair is probably a bad friend to make, pretty sure that old guy was wanted by an SCP for murder. He should have asked for a bonus.
Since the van was totaled by the first storm, I doubt he even managed to make $10,000.
Fr the moment he said he spent all that money I instantly wanted to drop the story lmao
I suppose he'll just have to console himself with the 80,000.00 he makes at his day job.

My God i love the way you tell these stories it feels like I'm really there in the places you're describing thank you so much ❤ the stories and appreciate you for being so great at this ❤
One of my newest favorites!🎉 Thank you for your great talent and bringing great stories to life!
Love the pic!
These thumbnails might be making people think its "one of those" videos, which are very low quality, leading to less people getting to find that your content is NOT low quality.
Sometimes eggs don’t work
Hey LH! Been a long time fan and I just realized how many new subscribers you’ve gotten! Well deserved I’ve always looked forward to your stories ❤
Amazing isn't it?
Agree! I think he was little over 35K last time I noticed, and that wasn’t too long ago!
You’re an amazing narrator dude
There are some other decent ones out there but at this time no can hold a candle to Dark Somnium and Lighthouse. Really love to see those two do a collaboration.
@@winstonwins1096That would be phenomenal! My two favorite narrators!
I think Dark some, Mr creepypasta, and lighthouse are hands down the top three narrators on TH-cam .
This one was very eerie!! Rain demons! Loved it! Thanks LH!! ❤️❤️❤️
Love ❤ coming home from work and seeing that Lighthouse Horror just uploaded a New Story!!!!! 😊
Steve! You’re the GOAT, my guy! I was seriously listening to old Let’s Read videos outta sheer boredom when I saw you had uploaded recently, and I clicked on this video immediately just to see what goodies you have in store for us this time! 😁
LR is awesome too..
No matter how hard my work day was. My night is instantly better. Thx lighthouse! love these
Stephen you're the best, thank you for your narrations!!
This was ummm,...unsettling but eerily enjoyable!!! You're narration is sooo soothing that it neatly disguises the horror!!!!😮😊😊
You were just in time for dinner! I was about to listen to something else when you popped up in the notifications. You are always a great dinner companion when my husband has to work overtime. This story was bizarre, not sure I've heard anything like it before. Good imagination on the author's part. You did splendidly as you always do. The new style always pulls me in further. Is it a new style anymore? Well, the visuals, which just add so much more than the typical narrations. That's why I watch at dinner now instead of bedtime, because I have to keep my eyes open in case I miss something. Keep up the amazing work. Your talent is appreciated.
I enjoy listening to your stories while getting my work done, your voice really fits.blessings from Baton Rouge Louisiana
A story to add to my bedtime. ❤ always look forward to them.
Right? I always make a playlist!
Yay Lighthouse!!
Agreed!
Would it be weird if I told you I would wash your lawn fold dishes and water your laundry
@@andylipsco9783 Thanks for reminding me! I already washed the lawn and folded the dishes. Completely forgot to water the laundry.

If Ivesaid it once ive said it 1000 times......All money aint good money. Great story and narration as always❤❤❤❤
Great way to end a monday night...with LH!
YES! ANOTHER STORY by the MASTER! Thanks Lighthouse... playing it tonight.
Theres few things i wouldnt do for $40,000. Id visit a ghost town, a haunted village, or even Quebec.
😂😂😂
I’m continually impressed by your ability to tell a story. I’ve long listened to stories on TH-cam when I’m ready to sleep, but your videos are so compelling and engaging that they’re like watching a feature film. I love seeing you in the videos, too. Amazing work!
Storm chasing is a dream hobby of mine. My bucket list vacation is 2 weeks in the Midwest of the US during springtime. There's companies who will take you out in their vans but I'd rather go with a University that teaches Meteorology - some of them do chasing programs. I really enjoyed this story.🌪️⚡🌀🌪️
Those touring vans pics chasers off. Especially, when there are two or three in one spot. They get in the way.
My favorite videos are where you do most of the narration up front. I think that give a personal feeling to the presentation. Thanks for all the cool stories.
I am addicted to Lighthouse Horror lol
Great story as always Stephen ❤
A day off and I got my earbuds in since hubby does not appreciate the stories I love listening too. You are a pretty good storyteller. ❤😂❤😂
I love storms. Always have. My favourite thing as a teen was to sit out on the spare lounge on our back verandah with my mother, a pot of tea between us, and my camera in hand.
Where we lived then, rural Australia, the summer storms especially were breathtaking - both in ferocity and in beauty.
I miss the dry electrical storms, lightning and thunder without a drop of rain. One day, I'll get up to the Top End for the build up and first day or two of the wet season up there (bucket list).
Where I live now, we don't get many storms. One thing I've always wondered though, as a migrane sufferer, just how much effect does atmospheric pressure have on headaches and migranes...
So.... the main character flew an entire camper by plane with that budget?? And a random villager in the Sahara desert speaks perfect English? I am left with more questions than answers.
I was expecting some twist like the old man was going to be one of the previous storm chasers that got aged by his experience or something, based on his English.
Speaking of, there wasn't much storm "chasing," just monitoring in one spot.
Either way, I enjoyed listening to the great narration!
If you listen carefully he picked up the van when he arrived so I presumed he bought it on-line over at his destination country
@@fenman1954 he talked about fitting the van with all the gear before he said he flew there, then picked it up. At least, that's what I remembered, I was tired when I listened.
@@CoriMultipassYou’re correct and I caught that, too. It bugged me each time it magically arrived where he was going.
I just decided to assume he just traveled to dome desert region of US otherwise I knees spent to much time questioning this whole thing 😂 like I was legit being here all “damn this guy really lacks the skill to negotiate for himself! He didn’t ask what the job was until he read the offer in the email AFTER he requested unpaid bereavement leave. Then he didn’t ask them to provide him with funds for equipment so in the end he only got 10k. He was told to fly overseas for a dangerous job and didn’t think about insurances for himself and his equipment etc.
I was going to say, the story was obviously written by someone who doesn't know much about the world. There are no small towns in the Sahara desert, much less so, towns with Suburban homes, gardens, porches, or convenience stores. This sounded more like an abandoned ghost town in arizona.
Just Superb, love these stories . Some of them make me laugh out loud, like the one about the doll. Keep them coming.
Love your channel ❤ more collaborations please 🙏 ❤ 😀 ♥ 😊 💕 love it when you all jump in on stories makes them special
No way I would return to an office job after that! Give me adventure! Great story and great narration. I very much appreciate your work.
Your story telling and the editing keep getting better and better bro. Good story
Ah, Lighthouse. The one person who can keep me from dashing the hull of my ship on the rocks near the shore
I have been in 3 tornadoes including one I watched come down and pull a white oak out of the ground then proceeded to chuck it like a spear through a house . I watched this while sitting under my carport.
What the actual f**k?! Glad you’re okay! How terrifying! 😮
Mother Nature is a b-tch but glad you survive her.
@@zerotodona1495 thanks
Awesome story and awesome narration. Thank you. You rock.
I fell asleep while listening to this story......I had some tumultuous dreams. So this story went on way past the posted time! Great story, and I don't recommend falling asleep while listening to these stories unless you want to spend your dream time running!
Again! Excellent! Felt like I was sitting right next to him in that camper! Crazy!
Thank you again, Lighthouse for helping me pass the time
How unique! Thank you and kudos to the author.
Love Lighthouse! One of my top 4 now! Please keep going - I'm listening! 👂❤
Just started but i liked it already and know it's gonna be Great, I have been with lighthouse since He had 27 thousand followers listened to all his stories over and over again.
I love you approach to reading creepypasta stories. The visuals and seeing u narrate the stories with hand gestures it’s a really clever strategy.
Love listening to these when i’m studying, thank you!
Your awesome man. I feel like I could hear the entire story as amazing as you tell it... even if you were muted. Well done
Great story!!!!! Love it! I've always thought about becoming a storm chaser! Now, not so much. Again great story!!
The narrator , such a contemporary gentleman yet tells stories like a grandparent whom we can cozy up to ....irrespective of our age.
His own friends and family might be very happy to have such a great storyteller among themselves.
You bring something new to narrating stories, your versatility in
changing voice sound and talking with body language, with
hands gestures. Don't ever give it up! You have a million dollar
gig.
There is a Polish saying. "Be careful of what you wish for, as it may come true." People think they know what they want, but they do not know till they have been through it. Loved this one and I truly enjoy listening to your voice. Hugs from Esquimalt
One of the best story tellers right here! Thanks for all you do sir!! ❤
So true ❤😊
Great story Lighthouse!!
Excellent story, thank you
I'm absolutely serious, i would LOVE to see THIS story as a full-length movie! This would be one HELL of a good thriller/horror movie! 😮🤯🤩
I listen to your stories when i lay down in bed at night❤❤❤Love your voice💪😎Love the Narration ❤😎
You simply are the best narrator on youtube. I have a few I enjoy, but none of them gets anywhere near your talent for this. Totally epic ♥
Weird how I even wait for the "hey I hope you enjoyed the video" at the end. Epic!!
Damn, brother Stephen! This already has me hooked with the title & thumbnail. As I listen this is definitely a winner 🏆. Thank you my friend! 🗿👊😎🗿
I love it when i find that you are visually in the story and with great background pictures to bring the whole thing to life. I wrote before, probably saying much of the same, but as much as i love the ones where it's just your voice, i adore the ones with you in it. Congrats on you up tic in subscribers. Very cool for you. See you next time. I'm hoping since I've subscribed, that I will get to not ever miss another. 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
You Mr Lighthouse never Disappoint. Awesomeness as always my Friend
So it's really only like 15 grand he's getting. That. Ain't. Enough. For. This.
Edit: actually it turned out not that bad. So did the old man bring the monsters to the town from somewhere else? And it must've just happened. MC could've done some major looting to help recoup all those expenses
Thank you for another wonderful video!!!
Well done! I love the last words to the data collector lol
Wow that sure was a trippy story.😧👍
I would have kept doing those jobs. The knowledge, of the unknown, that you acquire is well worth it, let alone the huge payout.
Awesome story and narration, once again...
I totally enjoyed this story you ,always bring them to life💯🔥 You're Amazing 💯!!!!
Things I’ve wanted that could have killed me: staying on the back porch to watch a tornado pass over my house, caving, flying in an airplane, scuba diving, and… having a baby, lol - still here, and they’re all worth it 😉❤
Drops 3/4’s of his promised pay on supplies for the job…
Rain and wind woke me up today. This is perfect ☕️
Amazing, fantastic! Lighthouse you are the best storyteller on this platform. Keep up the fantastic fantastic work. Thank you you are and all your work that you put into these are so appreciated thank you 💀☠️👻🕷️🕸️🤗
I got stuck for awhile on both the fact the guy had to buy all of his own gear AND somehow ship it all to Africa. Personally I’d want to take something like an armored car.
I thought he bought the van in Africa. Would have been cheaper.
That sounds like a challenge. I would be down for doing that.
"Uh, so.. he showed up in a suit of armour, with a lot of swords.."
"Yeah, so, that plan of jumping out and scaring him is cancelled."
A suit of armor You're thinking about it all wrong You don't bring a sword You bring an ass they're totems they're made of wood You cut them in half and then once you cut the totals in half you go out and start fighting with the ax
This one was great can’t wait to watch the next one.
You had become part of the things I love in life! Thank you! ❤️ Keep the awesome work!
It feels so weird seeing him use the modern clicky bait title when I'm so used to his text over a picture it doesn't feel right
Probs tryna get more views but I agree
Highlight of the week is a new Lighthouse upload 💜

Thank you.
Oh lighthouse you never disappoint my dearest 😊
At least he was smart enough to block them afterwards 😂😂😂
Thanks for becoming TH-camrs i don't know what I'd do without you
Much love
I can't get past the fact that he expected locals in the middle of the Sahara desert to speak English. And that the old man actually did
I am wondering how he was able to get his van to Africa before he arrived.
@@matthewfontenot5157 well, he could buy it remotely in Algeria or elsewhere and sign paperwork on arrival, but that's me giving the writing a benefit of the doubt
Yeah, this took me out of it lol.
i think it implies that the old man was someone who was also tasked to "watch the storms", so maybe he was from an english speaking country like our MC.
Great story with great narration. Thank you! You got me thru a sleepless night with this one.
After listening to the whole thing, I'm still kind of confused why is Lance upset at Daryl, the guy didn't even do much of anything he was just checking in.
I think the most amazing part of this story is the old man living in a ghost town in the middle of the Sahara desert speaking English at a native level.
Came to the comments looking for this lol.
Great story as always
