Chuck roast is also a good value. I'm at 6 1/2 months now and I have lost 40+ lbs and I also recommend bacon and eggs almost daily. Keep going, once you dump all of the oxalates and sugar the weight will start dropping off quickly.
ground grass fed beef is my staple, i make a burger, 3.5 min cooked each side, medium rare, very fatty and not dry at all. good luck on your carnivore journey, i have failed many times, but after 8 months, it has gotten a lot easier, especially after focusing on stress management, the challenge for me is family parties, the last couple of times i've gotten so sick after that "usual food", that i wanna throw up. bart kay mentioned he has the same thing, so having cheat days is not worth it anymore, the next party, i might just bring my own meat, for everybody else too of course. greetings from Estonia.
Last week I bought a 13. 2 lb. RIBEYE for $101.20 I often go for economical premium ground beef 80% @ $3.28 lb. in 10 lb. tubes. At Walmart they have 32 individual frozen patties (75%) packed in 8 lb. boxes for $28.00, but I think they are made with pink slime in the burger mix, they are not bad, but they cook differently, a tad sus but I've eaten a lot of them! 2.5 years plant free!
just a little warning, when I go into ketosis, after 10 days or so, my heartbeat starts to feel different, like stronger, or palpitating. this might be just heart muscles starting to use ketones for energy. you might want to look at some lectures about what happens when the body goes into ketosis.
It's funny you talked about this cut lol. I am cooking 2 of them on the 4th for BBQ. I didn't know it would do good as steaks. I am going to try that next time I'm not making bbq with it. My go too way of getting steak is with something called a Whole Beef Strip Loin at sam's club. It's New York Strip not really much waste. We also look around for local deals, try some of the different Asian stores, I find they have the best variety of meats and organs.
Ehm... Pork steak... Looks so yummy but i can't eat that... So i prefer Chicken steak for my reguler dinner hhe... Anyway so many progress... You get... Can't wait for another progress from you Wave hhe...
What's your go-to affordable carnivore dinner?
I eat .5 lb ground beef, 2 eggs, and a big scoop of Greek yogurt. Add a little hot sauce and you're golden.

I had the Wally World tube couple of times. Lots of tiny bones. Not only that, but it always tasted weird. Probably imitation meat from China.
So glad that you are taking good care of yourself. Keep on keepin' on Wave! We are cheering for you!

Ooh that’s a great idea! And I’ll have to look for that strip loin. Thanks for the tips!
If you're gonna live this life you gotta just get a chuck roll from costco or sams club, usually around $5/lb.
That’s the dream once I can convince my wife we should get a membership! 😅
