Worthwhile to note:
If you put birdseed on the windowsill facing the street, you will get Pigeons, Mourning Doves, English Sparrows and Starlings.
If you put birdseed on the windowsill facing the backyard, you will get many of the pretty birds mentioned here, especially the Cardinals and Bluejays.
