It really makes clear how little work it really takes Zerg to win by just trading poorly over and over and leveraging their abundance of cheap units and fast production via injected hatcheries. As we saw in this zeries, a bunch of ling bane running in along with the main attack and there's just nothing any Terran unit composition can do to make a dent in the horde of cannon fodder before the Ravagers or casters can get in position to doom the Terran's expensive units with Bile, Fungal Growth, Parasitic Bomb, or just a bunch of Banelings. There's no real position or setup that gives Terran a way to intercept this flood or trade well against it, I would argue that the Siege Tanks were a waste of money throughout most of this series and that the Widow Mines typically killed more Terran units than zerg. Clem definitely spends too much time retreating instead of shooting, but if he stood his ground he would just get recycled by the high DPS of upgraded ling bane with the only difference being a few more of those killed before the entire Terran army died. There are so many comments complimenting Dark, don't people realize he's using the same tactic in basically every situation and Terran has no answer to it other than stationary turtling with a dozen or more tanks? You have to move out on the map to win the game and the mobility of mass zerglings makes it too too easy to punish when Terran is out of position.

Exactly. The stiff build orders are nice for Terran and Toss but Zerg was always described as a kind of reactive race that puts their money on ambushes, adaptation and numbers. It's hard to pull off but if you do sometimes it's the only way to win lol
@@VArsovski10 TBF both tanks and mines are doing splash, but lings outrun bio, so you can just make more lings, run in deep and surround tight and thin so the splash hurts them as much as it hurts you. Once you're in there, few lings per tank then banes to clean up the already weakened bio.

One quick tip to get really, really good at the game: Never, ever, skip scout. And if you opponent has the gall to skip scouting, cheese that bastard, because 80% of the time, those players never see it coming. Also cheese works very well (If timed well) from diamond 2 and below.

Lowko, official olde man... Stopped playing at 54, only 4 years ago. Even with never missing an SCV, control group all buildings, great timing, great scout, the APM was dropping to about 70, the Micro was lost altogether. Stll love the game, loved the original too. Back in the day used buildings to block Ramps due to the fast Zerglings... The ability to actually move my hands, and hit the keys even in 'grid' setup was no longer natural, I was looking at my hand. Bronze League Heros on steriods... so I watch!
lowko 1 hours and 13 mins into the cast: if you made it this far like the vid me who enjoys lowko every day not missing even one SC2 cast of his, jet not "liking" any of them: you know what, maybe I can make an exception this one time
Although i'm not a starcraft player i found your videos (this one especially) quite soothing and helpful for sleeping (like ASMR) and i was watching it from my couch when you mentioned the fullscreen.
Watching a lot of pro TvZ I feel that Terran has bad odds in late game, just because it cannot maintain a competetive economy. Banes roll in - kill PF and 20 workers every 2min and after a while it is over. At the same time, Terran hardly gets any economy damage done to the late game Zerg.
This was a great cast! In response to your question about mental stamina, I've found that mine has actually increased as I've gotten older, but I've also lost my appetite for expending it. In other words, I've learned how to focus on tasks better and avoid distractions, and I'm less mentally drained at the end of the day, but part of that comes from my understanding of what actually IS mentally draining and avoiding those tasks unless absolutely necessary. I think that professional gamers reach an age where they just feel like there are easier ways to make money than playing really difficult, very stressful video games for a living. We only see them in tournaments, but literally hundreds of hours of practice goes into a tournament showing. Compare that to my job as someone who owns an IT project management company: I'm pretty much done with the most time-intensive parts of my education and training. The vast majority of my time is spent on productive tasks that directly make me money. My earnings are likely pretty similar to what all but the very best Starcraft 2 professional gamers make, but with a fraction of the expended effort. Anecdotal evidence: I once was an executive at a small company that had a former professional gamer on staff (Halo 2 and 3). He shifted into IT around the age of 26 because he had used his tournament winnings (about $350k in total over 5 years) and sponsorship earning (he never told me how much that was) to buy a house and secure a stable life for himself and his wife, and now he just wanted a "regular life" with his family. It's true that he made less money, but he also spent dramatically less time working. This gave him the mental and emotional bandwidth to raise a family and enjoy life. The only "professional gaming" role he still had was a shoutcast tournaments. He said it was like free money: you show up with minimal preparation, have fun casting games you would watch anyway, and get paid for your trouble. People loved him and it was good additional revenue. Maybe you can relate! Edit: when I play Zerg vs. Terran, I just stick on Ling/Bane. Terran splash damage is terrible and I can usually use it to kill their own units. That last game is indicative of how I play because it doesn't take a lot of micro: lots of A-move Zerglings with Infestors and Banelings to support them, basically. It allows me to use my leftover APM, which is really quite low, to just keep macroing behind it while staying aggressive.
When Dark is in beast mode he wins blizzcon dropping only 1 map , he trashes Serral 4-0 and confidently beats the best TvZ player on the planet. Dark is the best in my eyes.

Good for you! Raising children and watching pro StarCraft.
More Best of 7s - love an hour and a half of Lowko content in my day. Great video man.
The moment Lowko says “Is Clem doing it?”, Clem dies...
This video is so entertaining @lowkotv - it is simply so hilarious how excited you are about darks play. As if it was Christmas every 4 minutes. I was laughing so much. Just great work. I should go back to supporting you once again. I stopped since I don't have time to watch your twitch anymore.
Lowko: I hope you are ready
Me: HELL YEAH I AM *sits down on 🚽*
0.0 Please be wary of prolapsing your... burrow mechanic.
You sit on the toilet for 1 hour and 30 minutes
@@cho.gath789 don’t blame me it’s lowko’s fault
1h30 of poopoo
I appreciated the best of 7 man, I threw it on and watched/listened on my 2nd screen while working on a project. This was great haha
I'm closing in on my 40's, I've been wanting to pick up StarCraft just to test the reaction decline theory.
Adding, going to give it a go. Let's find out for science!
One quick tip to get really, really good at the game:
Never, ever, skip scout. And if you opponent has the gall to skip scouting, cheese that bastard, because 80% of the time, those players never see it coming.
Also cheese works very well (If timed well) from diamond 2 and below.
@@HungPham-qq6me I used to play LoL, so far I've been trying to learn the game by battling the AI to get down the hotkeys, flow and basic gameplay.
Seems like early game pressure is either required or you need to be able to defend against it.
@@ChadZLumenarcus yep. The game is all about aggression and pressure. Everyone can macro by button smashing, but the trick lies in who can micro drops, run-bys, splits, and who can make the executive decision of cannon cheese ingredients.
Verdict?
I love your longer videos. I've watched every bo5 and bo7 you've uploaded for the last few years. I've watched this video 3 times while doing different things. Keep up the great work!
1:14:21 I gotchu fam, I love your stuff
I love the long series; when I watch you I watch for a while, and one video is easier than many to select :)
Was nervous all throughout this series that my favorite player would be rolled over by Clem x3

Love when Dark plays with casters, liked the video :3!
We used to have a saying in the pro CS leagues back in the day. "Never underestimate the bait". I think Dark is my new favorite now, too. :)
Bronze League Heros on steriods... so I watch!
You probably can't even move your fingers at that age to be able to play SC2.
lowko 1 hours and 13 mins into the cast: if you made it this far like the vid
me who enjoys lowko every day not missing even one SC2 cast of his, jet not "liking" any of them: you know what, maybe I can make an exception this one time
We simply LOVE watching longer sc2 videos from you, don't even think about it ;)
Lowko: "Pull out game strong Dark! Never said that to another man.... uh...uh...."
Wondering if he's used it on a woman.
Although i'm not a starcraft player i found your videos (this one especially) quite soothing and helpful for sleeping (like ASMR) and i was watching it from my couch when you mentioned the fullscreen.
I love the best of 7 so far h1:15:00min.
Lowko I am here watching on my TV over an hour in! You are my cartoon breakfast on Saturday!
Finally, someone found a way how to beat Clem. Absolutly ridicolously played from dark.
Yeah I liked the part where he made lots of zerglings and attacked with them
Watching a lot of pro TvZ I feel that Terran has bad odds in late game, just because it cannot maintain a competetive economy. Banes roll in - kill PF and 20 workers every 2min and after a while it is over. At the same time, Terran hardly gets any economy damage done to the late game Zerg.
@@ruffianeo3418 It depends. If Terran is ahead, Terran tends to stomp Zerg with efficiency, but if Zerg is ahead his macro just goes out of control
Never played Starcraft 2 myself, but I love watching these videos. You are great at casting, so thank you for what you do!
don't worry as long as there's clem I'm watching even if the video is longer than 2 hours lol
I don't even play anymore, but I still find joy watching your casted games. Cheers, and thank you for your effort!
Clem actually lost a game, I’m surprised
Then you must have not watched SC2 closely, Clem has been trending downward for the last 2-3 weeks.
I agree. Focus and mental stamina increases with age, but the motivation to spend it in highly stressful tasks decreases a lot
When Dark is in beast mode he wins blizzcon dropping only 1 map , he trashes Serral 4-0 and confidently beats the best TvZ player on the planet. Dark is the best in my eyes.
100% we want more BO7. Especially whatever dark replays you can get your hands on. Great content dude! Always love it
Of course we will watch other best of 7s. You're awesome man, thank you for this.
Great content as always! You’re the only reason I have come back to StarCraft time and time again since Wings of Liberty. I watch more of your StarCraft videos than I play the game now a days. Haha.
Dude, best of 7s take me a couple days to watch. But I do get em done. You'll have at least one fan for these longer vids!! Gj bud keep up the good work.
Awesome series, great casting! No issues at all with length. Thanks Lowko!
These are great for when I'm bored at work! I'd love to see more Best of 7!
Keep making these long ones. I'm not even playing but been watching your vids for years.
Thanks!
I hit the like button. I mean, I don't always watch the content and best of 7s aren't always my favorite, BUT when I am in the mood, a best of 7 is a great video to play and half watch while I'm working
