Hello all! I mistakenly cut out a small section on ‘T.rex: Ultimate Survivor’ a 2015 documentary. So I’ll just include my thoughts here: Overall, I love it, the shape and proportions seem pretty spot on, and the colors are awesome. I recommend giving it a look! Also: Of course, I don’t include EVERY appearance of the animals we look at, so be sure to tell everyone about your favorites!
My dad recommended that documentary to me back then. I loved the t rex so much, I'd draw it a lot. Me and him enjoyed watching it, and he started to love dinosaurs too. Up to this day, he'd call me everytime there's a dino doc on the TV.
Dino guy i was at the feild museum and found out Rex’s bite was actually 21,000psi can you confirm this for me please ❤❤️🔥🔥love your vids, pls respond 💪
Fun Fact for you: In ZT2: Extinct Animals, all of the dinosaurs available in the game will make nests for their young. T-Rex has the biggest nest in the game along with the Carnotaurus, Utahraptor, Triceratops and Ankylosaurus. Another fun fact: The T-Rex also has the Dinocrisis roar. 😁
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the T. Rex in Super Mario Odyssey, also I think the T. Rex from Rextooth Studios “Tale of horns & teeth” short documentary style video deserves a mention as well.
While I love the design it’s pretty much just a classic Jurassic Park style T-Rex right down to the color. Great design but not much to say other than “Hey that’s a JP T-Rex.
When you were talking about people saying T-rex is venomous, it reminded me of people often portraying dilophosaurus as having frills and spitting acid because of Jurassic Park which there is no evidence for. I love Jurassic Park, but those movies give misconceptions about so many dinosaurs to so many people
Wanna point out: What you were looking at was the Zoo Tycoon 2 version... there's also ZT 1... and prior to the release of the "Extinct Animals" expansion which is where that T. Rex comes from, there was a small DLC called "Dino Danger pack" with a completely different looking T. Rex Also... the one you were looking at was the female, there's sexual dimorphism with the male being a more white/grey color with black/dark grey/dark blue stripes.
I loved the screentime of Rex in Prehistoric Planet, showcasing many behaviors of them that I've never seen before, from swimming from coast to coast, to the mating behavior reminding me of crocodiles, and don't get me started on the hunting scene in Swamps with the sibling hunting at night. That was fantastic, and I loved how the forest setting reminded me of Phil Tippett's setting in his short film. Although I wasn't big on the Jurassic Park audio for some of its vocals, but it's a minor complaint. I like the colors of T-Rex from Walking with Dinosaurs, but I've never been big on the sound effects.
You also completely missed the two most iconic T-Rexes from gaming, Sauron & Diablo, from the 1994 arcade fighting game: *Primal Rage* Whenever you do a follow up, you have to including the T-Rex from Carnosaur as well as both Sauron & Diablo from Primal Rage, which were just as iconic as Rexy when it comes to 90’s T-Rex designs.

I love fossils and archaeology, it’s my 2nd favourite mod! Only outdone by Prehistoric nature, because I love everything before the Mesozoic and the Cambrian is my baby!
My favorite T-Rex design is the WDRA version because that look has great colors, head shape, anatomy, and badass roar. The adult version is better than the sub-adult version, but both are awesome. Valley of the T-Rex reused the adult model, modified it, and recolored it, which I'm happy about. The T-Rexes from Dino Crisis, Walking With Dinosaurs, Dino Stalker, Jurassic Fight Club, Prehistoric Park, and Amazing Dino World (featherless version) are also my favorites.
Take the time and energy you need between these, life comes first and you need that balance between other content as well so this doesn't end up giving you burnout (especially with the increased length and research behind it)

The Rex in Ark is actually Tyrannosaurus Dominum (lord of the tyrant lizards), a species created for the game. Yet, according to the dossier, everyone refers to it as a rex. Which makes me wonder what the point was.

Really glad Beast of Bermuda made it in, most people talk about Path of Titans or The Isle but BoB's Rex is one of the best if not the closest to prehistoric planet.
You should either play or look at the Minecraft mod prehistoric nature it has over 800 different prehistoric animals and it currently at the Jurassic they are going until the present day
I love the wwd Tyrannosaurus rex surely, and may not be the best of the best but I love the coloring, and it’s roar, even though that yes, I am aware that dinosaurs don’t roar, but it sounds like an aggressive animal, and I also do like when dinosaurs are in America Tyrannosaurus
I am surprised you didn't mention The Stomping Lands/First Isle T.rex. Also, Saurian had three T.rex designs, the first had shaggy, emu like feathering with glowing spots on its face.
Not truly a depiction of T-Rex, but I feel like if we're gonna include a Pokémon, then it's also fair to give Anjanath from Monster Hunter World a shout-out, simply because I think it's a neat design and a lot of interesting ideas went into it (such as it having two thin "sails" on its back that it can stretch when it needs to cool down, or the fur/feather coverage that doesn't extend all the way to the head or its underside).
If you are gonna talk about minecraft mobs, I recommend Alex's Caves. it features a cave biome with new fantasy dinos based on real counterparts. Seeing you make a whole episode about it would be a dream come true
Love the video! One problem i do have is that based on a recent study on ankylosaur esophaguses, dinosaurs most likely could roar. This isn’t just exclusive to Ornithischia either, as this type of throat needed for roaring is present in some birds.
Yes, a larynx was found with a Pinacosaurus specimen. This does not offer the ability to roar however, and is, as of yet localized to that specific genus, or at most, ankylosaurids. It’s notable that structurally, the larynx is similar to birds. And birds, cannot roar. Birds can produce a wide array of different noises thanks to a structure known as a syrinx (which, there is still no evidence of.) roaring is a completely different noise to the noises we hear in birds and is something that is only found in mammals (very few mammals at that). This is not to say they were mute. As I mentioned in the video, it’s incredibly likely that they could produce grumbles, bellows, or hisses by forcing air through their esophagus much like modern day crocodiles, alligators, and ratites. But roaring, this is not.
Ever heard of "combat of giants: dinosaur strike" it's a 3d dinosaur fighting game for the wii, remember playing it at a friends house as a kid, pretty neat stuff
Man I hop you get a bigger community and I also hope that you start getting more likes on your vids because there very cool, (Also yur cowboy hat is sick)
As far as my opinion goes on Jack Horner's idea of Tyrannosaurus being 100% scavenger, while it's mostly false it did give paleontologists a "reason" to find more evidence about how it got its food. BBC's tv series Horizon of course has a documentary from 2004 about T-Rex and whether it was a "warrior" or "wimp" and it ends off saying it would be both a hunter and scavenger.
i'm suprised you didn't mention dino trucks in your last episode or this one. their t-rex designs is really interesting. oh and a really fun idea for a video is maybe looking at all the max level creatures in jurassic world the game or all the hybrids in jurassic world alive.
what do you think of Gojicenter's model for the Trex, used in a recreation of the trex vs spinosaurs fight as well as having a more accurate trex in the Jurassic franchise
Fun fact idk if anyone said it yet(or if you already say it sorry) Phil Tippett also work for the first Jurassic Park movie alongside Spielberg, at first they almost use the stop motion for every dinosaurs in the movie. Why did they ended up using CGI ? (My English is going to butcher sentence sorry lol) Spielberg seen a clips of T-Rex in CGI and thought that it was really great, he then ask Tippett of what he think. TIppett reply " I think I'm extinct" Spielber really love that line and put it into the first movie. But that doesn't mean Tippett is officialy out of the first movie, he still work with Spielberg, even work with CGI team if I remember correctly.
The Prehistoric Kingdom Rex is probably my current favorite portrayal of Tyrannosaurus in any media with Prehistoric Planet being a close second. Dinosaur Revolution is probably 3rd, even though it's a bit dated.
ik you do Dinosaur's videos but I would love to see the many interpretations of dragons! Some famous and maybe one's that no one really talks about. o:
I am very disappointed of you how you treat by a documentary what t rex was the scavenger and Rick Raptor 105 will have a talk with you @prehistoricchannel128
Ark Rex shown is the current model the old model had a different roar and its head was more “rounded” and it kind of looked goofy also their tail animation was very stiff now it’s a lot more fluent
I’ve just realized that the Bizzare Dinosaurs T,rex has its dew claw in the wrong position. Facing outwards where the fifth digit would be rather than facing inwards where the first digit should be.
Taking the opportunity to complement your video, I'm going to talk about some points that were mentioned in the video that are interesting... All the points are interesting but there are some specific ones that I I will mention. Starting with the feathers, plumage in tyrannosaurs is the most likely, because of the nostalgia factor many people took the study that said that large tyrannosaurids they would have lost their feathers because otherwise they would overheat, as an absolute truth that proved that the t-rex had no feathers which was the same as in Jurassic Park, this happens because of the nostalgia factor Because at no point did the study say that Tyrannosaurus lost its feathers and that feathers are not likely, I've seen people saying that nowadays scientists say it's impossible with the T-Rex If I had feathers... And these people didn't base themselves on science, they based themselves on the nostalgic emotions of their childhood and spread this around the internet. But what would Tyrannosaurus feathers be like? Well, they probably had feathers, but it's unlikely that they would have lost them just because of a question called phylogenetic parsimony, mammals , No known group of mammals has lost their hair, even whales have hair, they have kept their hair. The same goes for feathers, no known lineage has lost feathers, in dinosaurs all known lineages have some representative with feathers with the exception of Sauropods. What is phylogenetic parsimony? Well, it's not a very complicated thing, but in summary, what I found in its definition is: If a trait is present in the common ancestor then most likely all of the descendants retained that trait, as this applies to dinosaurs. More or less like this, if the Ornithischian dinosaurs I feel sorry for within the ceratopsian lineages, the lineages for us of the hadrosaurids and other more distant groups, if all the groups Theropod dinosaurs have feathers in some representatives, for example the megalosauroids are representatives with confirmed feathers, and the spinosaurs and their relatives are megalosauroids... The spinosaurs It had feathers... And in the same way the mani Tyrannoraptora lineage is the group of dinosaurs with the most evidence of feathers that we have. This also means that the Allosaurus should have had legs too, because although the Allosaurus is not a Coelurosaur and not even a Tyrannoraptora, it is a sister group to the Coelurosaurs, which is the group Carnosauria, which includes Carnotaurus and its relatives, this will be total and its relatives or our health and which includes Carnotaurus and its relatives, Ceratosaurus, Allosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus Why did the problem come here? It is a sister group of the Coelurosauria... The megalosauroids have evidence of direct feathers in the fossils... But they are not close relatives of the c Coelurosauria and Carnosauria... These last two are closer to each other than to Megalosauroids... But they all have the same most recent common ancestor... The three groups, that is We have evidence of feathers in two distant groups that have the same common ancestor, but we don't have any in the sister group of one of them, does that mean they didn't have feathers? No, it means that very Probably Allosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus, Ceratosaurus, Carnotaurus etc... Probably had feathers too... Which doesn't mean they were super fluffy And in the same way within the Tyrannoraptora, all the groups within this larger group had feathers with 100% certainty, because it is this group that includes birds. In addition to the dromaeosaurs and trodons, the group also includes the Therizinosaurus, the Oviraptor, the Yiqi r o Epidexipteryx... and the Tyrannosaurus and its relatives... And all of these groups have evidence feathers directly through the fossils. In other words, probably all dinosaurs had feathers including Sauropods, because if the ornithischians It had feathers, that means that the physics group Because we don't have it directly, it should have feathers And that means that the Sauropods should have, because the Sauropods ARE CLOSER OF BIRDS AND ALL THEROPODS THAN OF ORNITISCHIANS... Yes, a brontosaurus, apantosaurus, argentinosaurus, brachiosaurus were closer to sparrows than to triceratops... Ah, it's an important thing Birds are dinosaurs Tyrannosaurus probably had feathers almost 100% for sure. Now what were these feathers like? Okay, it probably had a type one to three feather, because these are the oldest feathers and they are present in all dinosaurs whose feathers are well preserved. And we managed to study properly there Even better, they are present in pterosaurs... Yes, animals that are not dinosaurs also have feathers, which means that feathers did not appear in dinosaurs but in avimentatarsalia.Ancient... Ah, but aren't these pterosaur feathers a pike pycnofiber? So... It's actually all one thing, including some pterosaur feathers that also have preserved feathers that We were able to observe adaptations in plumage that are exclusive to pterosaurs and that resembled bird feathers through evolutionary convergence. But we know they are feathers because the base is basically the same, and also because the genes responsible for feather growth are present in other archosaurs like crocodilians, but But of course an alligator They won't be born with feathers So when we think about the ancestors of pterosaurs and dinosaurs, which were small animals that evolved into various lineages, we have to imagine them all with feathers. But what happens is that some of them may have lost feathers, or at least have a very large reduction in the number of feathers on their bodies? Yes, that is perfectly plausible, so a tyrannosaurus without feathers is plausible, but a tyrannosaurus with feathers is more plausible, a tyrannosaurus with feathers with very few, very thin and tiny feathers. It is also plausible. There are foci on the body of Dinosaurs where the primary feathers grew, which are present in birds because birds are dinosaurs, but anyway, these foci are the tail and the back., And this wave is present in tyrannosaurs as well and dinosaurs like Raptorex have feathers precisely in these areas. And tyrannosaur fossils indicate a higher temperature precisely in this In these same areas when the animal was alive But the question would arise: Wouldn't my Tyrannosaurus overheat, my body with pity? Yes, no, let's start with yes,Yes, because they can overheat the animal's body. And no, because when we think about it, people are thinking about mammals with mammalian fur, the way fur works...Feathers and fur do not work the same way. That's the problem, feathers retain heat and they disperse heat, they do not generate heat, at least not easily, that's why birds do not have as much heat.Variation of plumage according to the era of man, although there are variations it generally has not changed much And that's why no bird lost its feathers because losing feathers would make them overheat and not keep them, that is, the T-Rex if all feathered would help it not to die from extreme heat but rather to die The extreme end of this This means that the furry Tyrannosaurus is just as plausible as a Tyrannosaurus with just a few tiny feathers. But of course there are variations birds that come from warmer climates tend to have a different amount and distribution of feathers than birds that come from colder climates so this means that the tyrannosaurus Could have a smaller feather cover to avoid overheating And then comes the question of Yutyrannus, because it was all covered in feathers and many people argue that it is because it was a small animal that lived in a cold zone that took and everything... None of the Neither of the two pieces of information is correct, small compared to a tyrannosaurus, they are indeed small compared to a human being. They They were like 2 m tall, about 3 m tall, about 9 m long, more or less... If I'm not mistaken, that's his size...This is very big, it's not a small animal, it's a large animal, and they were all covered in feathers and the worst part... They didn't live in an area that was cold and full of snow... The zo In fact, the place where they lived at the time was an arid region with one degree less than the environment in which the tyrannosaurus lived... It is possible that it snowed because it may be that that area was within From the Polar Circle, which are the areas where snow usually falls at certain times of the year, however the environment in which he lived was predominantly arid, almost desert, with several semi-tropical trees.Several animals that only survive in hot climates and rarely have adaptations to cold weather. So every time you see those arts of them living in an environment full of snow... Here in the middle what's wrong, they weren't supposed to live in an environment full of snow, they were supposed to live almost in a desert. 20:46 I'm not sure if it's a very scientifically considered thing, but what I do know is that there's no evidence for it and there's no example from nature... There are ostriches and other large birds. But they don't lose their feathers. What usually happens is that the feathers of adults are different from those of chicks, it gives the impression that the chicks have feathers when in fact he has the same amount as adults. So the most likely scenario is that Tyrannosaurus and other dinosaurs would have appeared to have more feathers by choosing offspring and when they grew up the feathers would continue to grow in the same places. It would end up looking like they don't have that many feathers But anyway, this idea that chicks had feathers and adults lost them is still plausible. Anyway... That's it...
Cool Video, dude! Love spending a boring day watching this. You know what would be very cool?. If you started a discord server so you could have your community be in even more places.

❤ lets get part 2 baby
If you are gonna talk about minecraft mobs, I recommend Alex's Caves. it features a cave biome with new fantasy dinos based on real counterparts. Seeing you make a whole episode about it would be a dream come true
I will add it to the list! Once I get my PC situation figured out, I plan on making content on a plethora of prehistoric mods for Minecraft.
Great video! Congratulations on 10K
Brachiosaurus seems stunned to learn all this
Sad that you brought up Jurassic: The Hunted in your Spinosaurus video, but not in this one. Spike and the Tyrant King both had really fun designs.
Ever heard of "combat of giants: dinosaur strike" it's a 3d dinosaur fighting game for the wii, remember playing it at a friends house as a kid, pretty neat stuff
Man I hop you get a bigger community and I also hope that you start getting more likes on your vids because there very cool,
(Also yur cowboy hat is sick)
As far as my opinion goes on Jack Horner's idea of Tyrannosaurus being 100% scavenger, while it's mostly false it did give paleontologists a "reason" to find more evidence about how it got its food. BBC's tv series Horizon of course has a documentary from 2004 about T-Rex and whether it was a "warrior" or "wimp" and it ends off saying it would be both a hunter and scavenger.
The red and black T. Rex does look like Diablo from Primal Rage.
i'm suprised you didn't mention dino trucks in your last episode or this one. their t-rex designs is really interesting. oh and a really fun idea for a video is maybe looking at all the max level creatures in jurassic world the game or all the hybrids in jurassic world alive.
I thinks its actually spelt DinoTrux
@@Rexred09i think so. It's been a while since i saw it 😅
what do you think of Gojicenter's model for the Trex, used in a recreation of the trex vs spinosaurs fight as well as having a more accurate trex in the Jurassic franchise
Fun fact idk if anyone said it yet(or if you already say it sorry)
Phil Tippett also work for the first Jurassic Park movie alongside Spielberg, at first they almost use the stop motion for every dinosaurs in the movie. Why did they ended up using CGI ? (My English is going to butcher sentence sorry lol)
Spielberg seen a clips of T-Rex in CGI and thought that it was really great, he then ask Tippett of what he think. TIppett reply " I think I'm extinct" Spielber really love that line and put it into the first movie.
But that doesn't mean Tippett is officialy out of the first movie, he still work with Spielberg, even work with CGI team if I remember correctly.
actually there's a t.rex video gam called savage quest where you play as a mother T.Rex who tries to rescue her eggs
I'm planning a web series (in Spanish) and it features tyrannosaurs, both babies and adults.
Some famous and maybe one's that no one really talks about. o:
Sad because you didn't mention Zoo Tycoon 1 Tyrannosaurus, but this was a massive endeavour, grats on your first 10k
And hey I know is it's a bit hard to see but you can also mention that the first finger or digit is smaller than the lower digit.
Indeed
I am very disappointed of you how you treat by a documentary what t rex was the scavenger and Rick Raptor 105 will have a talk with you @prehistoricchannel128
Waking the t.rex is nostalgia for me.
6:18 Wait... ONE EYE. I knew he couldnt die to something like a Mosasaur!
-German man
Ark Rex shown is the current model the old model had a different roar and its head was more “rounded” and it kind of looked goofy also their tail animation was very stiff now it’s a lot more fluent
I’ve just realized that the Bizzare Dinosaurs T,rex has its dew claw in the wrong position. Facing outwards where the fifth digit would be rather than facing inwards where the first digit should be.
Curious what you think of the Cretaceous Calamity rex. That one is my favorite mod.
Well, it's not a very complicated thing, but in summary, what I found in its definition is:
If a trait is present in the common ancestor then most likely all of the descendants retained that trait, as this applies to dinosaurs.
Which doesn't mean they were super fluffy
And in the same way within the Tyrannoraptora, all the groups within this larger group had feathers with 100% certainty, because it is this group that includes birds.
Ah, it's an important thing Birds are dinosaurs
Tyrannosaurus probably had feathers almost 100% for sure.
But we know they are feathers because the base is basically the same, and also because the genes responsible for feather growth are present in other archosaurs like crocodilians, but But of course an alligator They won't be born with feathers
So when we think about the ancestors of pterosaurs and dinosaurs, which were small animals that evolved into various lineages, we have to imagine them all with feathers.
And tyrannosaur fossils indicate a higher temperature precisely in this In these same areas when the animal was alive
But the question would arise: Wouldn't my Tyrannosaurus overheat, my body with pity?
But of course there are variations birds that come from warmer climates tend to have a different amount and distribution of feathers than birds that come from colder climates so this means that the tyrannosaurus Could have a smaller feather cover to avoid overheating
And then comes the question of Yutyrannus, because it was all covered in feathers and many people argue that it is because it was a small animal that lived in a cold zone that took and everything...
14:09 did the creators of dino-d-day take inspiration from this documentary? It looks just like it lol(with less detail i think)
For a while people actually thought that the T Rex autopsy was a real captured T Rex found deep within the jungles of Africa.
Can you do the many interpretations of Tarbosaurus 🔥? But nice video as always !
Cool Video, dude!
Love spending a boring day watching this.
You know what would be very cool?.
If you started a discord server so you could have your community be in even more places.
Hey the first trex you talk about was fighting a styracasuras if i remeber correctly
You keep saying the Mattel Red Rex, but I always refer to it as the Kenner Red Rex since that is a throw back to the Kenner toy.
Trickceratop and mosasaurus
What about Agumon from Digimon?
Yo! Great video. 😎👍
But I’m afraid you forgot the few other video games that the T. Rex was in.
Turok, Primal Rage, and Tomb Raider.
Just wanted to let you know.
Could you ever do Tarbosaurus
I like the T. rex from Life on Our Planet (2023)
Could check out Anjanath and Fulgur Anjanath from Monster Hunter, pretty sure he's suppose to be based on a Tyrannosaur with a bearded-vulture appearance... but then again most of the Brute Wyverns are "T-Rex" shaped...
More like yutyrannus though the morphology is more Rex like
Hot take: Walking with dinosaurs got the best coloration idea for any T-rex design
Change my mind 👀
It is pretty cool. I especially like the red coloration for the throat.
The colors and the roar are easily the best parts of the Walking with Dinosaurs (1999) Tyrannosaurus rex.
It's cool but Prehistoric Planet's edges out for me as it better works for crypsis/camouflage a lot more than WWD's.
The t-rex in walking with dinosaurs looks like a uhh... bird... not like a bird bird but a crane... you get it
“The feathers are too feathery”😂
Fun fact: The Animal Armageddon model for T. rex is literally just the same model from a game you actually didn't mention called Dino D-Day, where you play as WWII soldiers in an alternate timeline where the Nazis revived dinosaurs.
Trexes are taking over the world of dinosaurs
