There is no difference between 'gaming' and 'regular' RAM apart from the looks. So, it would work fine for gaming as well. Go for it.

What issues have you faced (on basis of performance) from the time you installed this Ram in the second slot?I also have a HP-15 series laptop and is considering buying a DDR3 4gb ram for the second slot. Please reply.
You won't find any exceptional difference in performance by just upgrading the ram. It's just that you will be able to do multitasking smoothly but speed won't increase drastically.
To Increase the laptop speed/performance of opening software or boot time, you need to upgrade to SSD.

you cannot determine actually whether it is real or fake before inserting it. Like in my case the sticker was of sk hynix but after installing only, i got to know that it was of micron. So you need to install the ram and then check the specifications of it through softwares like cpuz. There is no such big difference between all the three since company is same.

Bro am having a laptop with 4gb ddr3 ram in one slot and for second slot i order hynix 8gb ram ddr3 and i installed it but after installing my laptop get more slow. Like its boot time increases and time taken to open a software also increases ?? What is the problem
Bro Increasing ram only let your computer to do multiple task without getting hang, it won't affect your speed of boot and to open software. It is taking more time because now your motherboard process one extra unit of ram so it will take more time to boot and other task. And it may also happen if both the rams are incompatible.
If you want to increase speed of your laptop, then you should upgrade to SSD from HDD and boot the window into SSD, then it will increase your read and write speed and your laptop will run faster.

Actually bro I didn't returned it because before this they already cancelled my 2 orders of same ram only due to their quality issue and their delivery time is also late plus it worked with my previous ram so I just didn't find it fruitful to return this one since they already wasted my so much time but I gave the feedback to flipkart and complained too about the issue. And they said to return and get refund too but I didn't because of the reasons mentioned above.
And yes, you will definitely get a refund if you get a wrong item.
