As a foxhole veteran that has seen dozens of “what is foxhole/first day “ video this one was by far the best I have seen. Nice balance of game play and info. The clips where fun and not bridge fights. The info was 99% correct. It looked like a good time and I thank you for exposing your community to that. Additionally I think day one hour one of a war is when people should start playing foxhole becuase it’s just an awesome rifle fighting mess
@@Laurentxoplex you should ask a veteran. Most of the time when you ask someone they will teach you and guide you along. If the person you first asked is toxic, mute them and ask another. You'll find most people are nice and are willing to help out each other. I can at least say this for the wardens. Fyi as of now the war just ended, check the foxhole discord for the next war start date and time

When I’m doing literally anything and a no rank or someone who hasn’t gotten past sergeant yet asks for help on something I’ll tend to help them out, other times when I make my own tank and bring it to the front, I’ll try to grab new players and train them on vehicle handling and allow them to be in the fun parts. (Like gunning or spotting) and I’ll just drive and make sure we don’t get screwed over.
This game is phenomenal. I didn't really like the idea of the top-down perspective at first either, but its become something that I really enjoy! Makes the gunplay more...chill, idk how to describe it. Every fight doesn't feel like a life or death situation, you can kinda just kick back on the front line, no stress. And when you get bored of the frontlines, you can chill even harder on the backlines, doing some logi. Such a genius idea for a game. Would love to see some more vids from you Moi, really enjoyed this one!
Good take. If I want intense front-line balls-to-the-wall action, it's there. If I want recon missions, it's there. If I want slow, maybe 8v8 front-line security fighting, it's there. If I don't want to stress about shooting and just want to chill and make some supplies that other players will worship me for making and transporting, that's there too. Whatever your mood, Foxhole has you covered.
foxhole needs more love. sure it isn't suuupperrr realistic and brutal. but it simulates true war. logistics. tatctics,strategty and most of all the community.
@K Wasiak or deliberatly seasing artirelly fire so the enemy medics come and pick up the wounded... only to resume artirelly fire on them once they are lured in range.
Kind of seems like it is for me tbh, in BF4 my favorite part was flying the transport heli to drop off people and provide assistance to objectives assuming there wasn't a tank nearby. I've actually been looking for a shooter that would scratch that logistic itch, the top down seems unappealing but I'll give it a real shot.

@MrBronx819 Planetaide 2 is exactly what you want. It's sci-fi and has its issues (and a bit of a steep learning curve) but it's a MMO FPS with persistent battles.

I was in the same boat. The top-down view was initially a turn off for me and I thought I would be unimpressed. After a buddy convinced me to try it, now this game’s like crack to me. And the funny part is that this video barely even scratches the surface as to how in-depth this game actually is
I can see how fun the game is even with top down perspective... but everytime I see this game, I just say to myself, "Think how good this game would be, if it was First Person instead?"
I could see this game being a great creator/view interaction. With larger player counts it allows more of your viewers to jump in and be a part of a massive push on a point
Plus the persistent world allows those who can't play directly with him still be able to effect the videos. Either by supplying via logi. Or securing a staging area for the major OP
Logi is a huge part of the game. And it's not just shipping supplies to the front, there's also the logistics of running logistics. You could easily spend your whote time in the rear making sure the logi guys have all the materials, radios, trucks, cranes and ships that they need to produce and deliver the shit that actually goes to the front.

Got stopped by a bunch of friendly trucks guarded by a tankette at the iron passage, because Collies had taken the boot and the road to the abandonned ward was no longer safe. We waited 5 minutes, and 4 tanks showed up to escort us in. In the end everyone received a hero's welcome because things were getting dire supply-wise. In what other games do you see players actually organize armed convoys? This shit is straight out of movies .:D
@Jukelo Logi is also the embodiment of suffering, especially when you waste half an hour delivering supplies from nightchurch, which needs supplies, to grand march, which doesnt and by now has probably fallen.
Your ability to learn this game is SO MUCH more impressive than mine. I had to rely on many more hours of generous people handholding me through basic processes before it clicked. But boy when it did!

It was an absolute blast fighting along side you guys at Isawa and later on at Lost Airchal (Hello from the 39th Caovian Guards btw). I remember you saved my ass with a trauma kit after some dude gave you a crash course on how to use it. Next time I see you in game I have a commend waiting for you because i forgot to give it to you lol.
This series is the best foxhole series ive seen on youtube, and its what got me hooked to foxhole as well. Love your editing and cant wait to see what foxhole content you make in the future
I remember one time I was doing logistics with a friend of mine and someone called out for resources to go to irons end in the deadlands, north of the holy city abandoned ward. He said there was a massive colonial invasion on it's way but they were holding the line. When we arrived with the supplies there was no one defending irons end but we could see on the map that there were groups of collies probing the relic base. So we took it upon ourselves to defend. Some more logistics showed up with resources and stayed to help defend. We built a field of barbed wire at the base of the hill to the south and built foxholes there. We covered the bridge with AT defenses and foxholes and put up sandbags for manual defense and we destroyed the foot bridge to the north to limit their access to the hill. The siege started that next morning after we showed up. There had to have been about 20 to 25 collies swarming up that hill and we 4 logistics held that hill for 5 days and 5 nights in game. And when the siege broke on the last morning the gunshots suddenly stopped. "The sun is rising" someone said in a gimli voice. And I'll tell you it was like helms deep, our enemies were many, and we were few. We 4 logistics were the thin line between the colonial horde and the crumbling passage in the region north of us which supplied our efforts in the deadlands, and we 4 logistics held the line.
I remember playing this first time and I was shocked by how awesome the community was, note to everyone considering to get this game, almost everyone in it is nice.
Once mid war kicks off, the fighting will become dynamic. I am super excited your playing. And very hopeful I will get to face you in the trenches soon

This is one of the greatest games I've ever seen. Everyone matters and strategy is the foothold of every single action taken. It isn't absolute and freedom to approach situations is in full. This game is the best I've seen at mixing controlled combat (like being anle to control your character) and strategy. Loving this.

This is my favorite game its like no other game out there. I hope people keep playing on mass and keep the game alive and kicking for more years to come.
It took me a second to realise it, but I was there for this! Fighting with CL, infantry regiment. SPUD has been truly phenomenal whenever I've played with them around, you did a really awesome thing!
I remember that Fleece Road hill fight; it was a long line of trenches roughly L shaped from Fort Spud and Isawa towards the Fleece Relic Base. I mostly fought on the Isawa front, pushing south through rocky hills and trenches. It took some effort to keep the mammons flying while being under constant fire from the Relic bases garrisons and the counter charges of the Colonials. What wasn't shown here was the road block from Lost Airchal entrance to the colonial controlled Fleece Relic earlier, effectively starving the base for that final assault. It was done by less than 10 people and about 4 foxholes. We stopped at least 2 trucks and several counter attacks. You can actually see me a few times in the video and for the final time during that first step into Lost Airchal at 11:46 after which I left for...who knows where. Onnea ja menestystä soturi!

My first foxhole was when this was free and the map is small, you have the trucks, the howitzer, rifles, smgs and mgs... Since it was fresh, you would spawn randomly and get killed by enemy foxhole.

I aw someone talking about this and I thought it looked strange, but watching this video and hearing the sound design of rifle reports and whatnot - I REALLY want to play this game now! It looks interesting and so much fun. I think I'll start out in the back and learn how to create supplies and do supply runs towards the front, and figure it out from there. It looks SO much fun! It looks like a top-down arma MMORPG that is streamlined only in that its top down and seems comparatively easy to jump into. But there seems to be so much depth and complexity, with the skill ceiling seeming to be focused on HOW the mechanics are strategically used, and not the mechanics themselves (if that makes sense). I can't wait to try this game out!

I have been one of the many truck drivers delivering you shirts bmats and medical supplies over the last weeks. It was my first week in foxhole too, it was a blast fighting on that front and it still is, even though we fight over chicken nugget island now for the 7th time LUL
i didn't play alot cause i don't have anyone to play with, but this is an awesome video i feel like i'm watching a good dcumentary about the SPUD unit in war 83!
Favorite part of this game is how much 1 person can affect the battles, like being pushed back for hours and bringing some big guns up and pushing all the way back or bringing a tank in and holding a push for hours

So its the scale of Planetside 2, with the mechanics and logistics of Arma 3. but also top down? Interesting i feel like there probably is a shortage of people running supply though..
This is game is just unlike anything I've seen on the market right now. I cannot name any other game off the top of my head that's so player-oriented that almost everything you see down to the bullet you shoot is player-made. Not to mention how regiments have their own notoriety and stories which is really cool to me. I love when the story is created by the players because it just makes events so unorthodox and fascinating. Watching your stream along with others has made me feel passionate enough about the game to purchase it and I can't wait to play. (Edit: Sadly I got into it and only really enjoyed the gameplay for a short amount of time but I still enjoy watching the game although I wouldn't suggest getting the game unless you have a group to play with beforehand or plan to join an active regiment.)
22nd riflemen and logistics warden here, over in fishers row bridge we fought over dang bridge for 2 days before we made a breakthrough spend one day doing logistics run and the other fighting tooth and nail just to cross onto the enemy side. We took so many losses.
I took part in both the siege of lost airchal and the mammon logi. I still remember the brave wardens and the sounds they made once I brought over 100 mammons
This seems like the kind of game I would vastly prefer to watch than play. It just sounds insanely overwhelming, like if you can't put a hundred hours a week into it you shouldn't even bother.
I see you found out the hard way rule #1 of base setup "Always Lock the supply truck." Also good fight for Arc, 77th is my regiment and that fight was brutal.

I aw someone talking about this and I thought it looked strange, but watching this video and hearing the sound design of rifle reports and whatnot - I REALLY want to play this game now! It looks interesting and so much fun. I think I'll start out in the back and learn how to create supplies and do supply runs towards the front, and figure it out from there. It looks SO much fun! It looks like a top-down arma MMORPG that is streamlined only in that its top down and seems comparatively easy to jump into. But there seems to be so much depth and complexity, with the skill ceiling seeming to be focused on HOW the mechanics are strategically used, and not the mechanics themselves (if that makes sense). I can't wait to try this game out!

I have been one of the many truck drivers delivering you shirts bmats and medical supplies over the last weeks. It was my first week in foxhole too, it was a blast fighting on that front and it still is, even though we fight over chicken nugget island now for the 7th time LUL

Favorite part of this game is how much 1 person can affect the battles, like being pushed back for hours and bringing some big guns up and pushing all the way back or bringing a tank in and holding a push for hours
Just started playing last week, so far it’s been extremely fun. It is hard to find direction without being a part of a regiment though.

This is game is just unlike anything I've seen on the market right now. I cannot name any other game off the top of my head that's so player-oriented that almost everything you see down to the bullet you shoot is player-made. Not to mention how regiments have their own notoriety and stories which is really cool to me. I love when the story is created by the players because it just makes events so unorthodox and fascinating. Watching your stream along with others has made me feel passionate enough about the game to purchase it and I can't wait to play.
(Edit: Sadly I got into it and only really enjoyed the gameplay for a short amount of time but I still enjoy watching the game although I wouldn't suggest getting the game unless you have a group to play with beforehand or plan to join an active regiment.)

22nd riflemen and logistics warden here, over in fishers row bridge we fought over dang bridge for 2 days before we made a breakthrough spend one day doing logistics run and the other fighting tooth and nail just to cross onto the enemy side.
We took so many losses.
Every inch of ground in 83 was a slog. Really makes you appreciate it!
My first day was learning to fuel a truck, Hammering some scrap and stading in everyones way. Your firs day was hella impressive.

Ah yes, Foxhole. A game with a community so masochistic, they manage the logistics, strategy and frontline combat of an entire war FOR FUN.
This seems like the kind of game I would vastly prefer to watch than play. It just sounds insanely overwhelming, like if you can't put a hundred hours a week into it you shouldn't even bother.

I see you found out the hard way rule #1 of base setup "Always Lock the supply truck." Also good fight for Arc, 77th is my regiment and that fight was brutal.
