I know the difference is huge enough to show the difference in style, but topping up the tank is the best way to calculate mpg - preferably tested multiple times to account for different fuel temp. I'm thinking of getting one of these as a project and sticking it on youtube to see ho much you can modify for fuel economy - boat tail would look mint!
No surprise that a lighter right foot makes for better fuel economy, but I must admit, I am surprised how much difference it made. Potentially more than 20 mpg. Nice vid dude.

@@Lassitude1001 yup thats what i do. Always full throttle and usually also up till redline. They are not even that slow when you drive like that , but the fuel economy is not good anymore either lmao
Accelerate hard up to your desired speed then block change to the highest sensible gear and cruise. Don't lose too much speed in corners. You'll still get high 40s and have fun.
Interesting Only had my little 2008 Aygo a few weeks. So, gauge was on two bars on gauge and done 420 miles since last fill. Filled it up and pump clicked off at 35.55 litres ?? I was under impression tank only takes 35 litres - if it were empty ? Anyone had similar ? I don't get it

Our 2007 107 gets around 47 mpg average. Lower 40s in winter. I think I've only had less than 40 once. Best I got on a full tank was 68.8mpg. There are some on the c1oc forum that get mental figures, 70, 80 even 90 + mpg. Mental.
I hypermile my Aygo xD... Usually my tanks come in around 70mpg, my all time record for a tank was 78mpg though. I got a Nissan Micra 1.2L petrol for a courtesy car once, reset the MPG counter and it was at 65mpg when I handed it back. Love to know what I'd get in a diesel 🤣. My partner's 1.6L diesel Mégane gets 75mpg when I'm driving but my mum has a 1.2L diesel polo and I talked her through fuel saving techniques and the trip Mpg was at 100mpg when we got home, only issue with my mum's polo is that it has a DPF which would get clogged as f#*k if you drove economically

@Andre Ramos I think it’s mainly just cos I’m not an economical driver, but I used to get about 40 before the injectors went in so they haven’t helped.

Along with that, how about an engine temp guage too. Two same style gauges fitted above the radio would look good IMHO

last two bars are almost nothing. first 3 bars are +/- 500 km. If you fill it all the way i managed to get 36,5 litres in.

In all fairness even if I floor it everywhere I still get like 45-50mpg around town. It's way more fun than driving it how it's meant to be driven 😂
