I am currently working on the USS Enterprise 1701-A - 1/537. Your videos have given me so many cool tips. I saw the new 2024 AMT 11400 Enterprise D at my hobby shop yesterday. I'm thinking of doing this after I finish my current project. With the new translucent plastic I was hoping to scrap the paint away from the windows for lighting. Not sure how that would look, but cutting them is always an option. Thanks from Canada
Heya Pug!!! I'm glad my tips are helping your build! Yeah the D is a fun build, we will see how scraping the windows works out soon! Thanks for watching!
Hi Russ! So glad to see you building again. I had a ganglion cyst removed from the exact location. I thought it would be a snip...snip out-patient procedure, but alas, it was a full blown operation under a general anesthetic. At least I got to go home the same day. I decided against the wacking-it with a book, method. Enjoy the build....I will be following!
@@PunkyWily Yeah, the D has a ton. I have the opaque Voyager, and I'm still trying to devise a plan. I'm pretty lazy when it comes to that stuff. Maybe I'll just paint it gold like those ships in the briefing rooms...lol.
@@PunkyWily LOL I believe Voyager is smaller than the Enterprise D's saucer which is saying something as it has even fewer windows than the Enterprise-A.
That stuff sucks though. But unluckily for me I have Carpal Tunnel in both wrists and shoulder problems in the right shoulder and also unfortunately I have a major wrist problem that may have aggravated things more (A past wrist injury from 18 years ago that may have caused the Carpal tunnel issue in the wright wrist that happened 2 months before I broke my left shoulder in 2021). And a few other things that caused more trouble for me last year that added to the problems with the right shoulder. (2 Shingles outbreaks)
Oh right, I keep forgetting to use your resin trick. I'll have to try it. I did pick up a UV flash light just for that too. Thanks! Oh and check your Email.
