I agree with the gen rushing statement that it's not gen rushing it's survivors doing their objectives but what everyone else needs to know is that when killers camp, slug and tunnel, they're playing for kills. I get it's boring to verse but having gens fly by is also boring so the survivors can do their objectives and the killer can do their objectives even if the other side doesn't like it.
The term “gen-rushing” never made sense to me. That’s LITERALLY just the survivors playing like a smart, well-coordinated team. On the other hand tunneling and camping is just lame. You can get kills without doing that. You can’t get gens done without doing gens…
idk if this would REALLY be considered a hot take but I hear a lot of complaints about how Xenomorph is a mid chapter and doesn’t display the same vibes or emotions as the Alien films. I think the tunnels especially evoke the feeling of being unable to track the killer and having to always be on your toes, and the flame throwers are a really cool form of counterplay.
Deathslinger with a strafe ability, Interesting take Bran My Hot Take: i think hooks should respawn after 60 to 90 seconds after a survivor dies so we can avoid survivors just sitting in a corner and not be able to get hooked.
This is a huge problem on Vecna’s map. The underground section of the castle has only 1 or 2 hooks and they are so spread apart that survivors can go down under an already used hook and I can’t do anything.

1:16:26 Fair enough on the point with Oppression, the effect definitely is decent and a simple cooldown reduction would suffice. But, the main reason I suggested the other changes was mainly due to considering that some other gen perks DO have long cooldowns, and I made them under the assumption that BHVR would want to keep the cooldown based off of the perk's effects (AKA, BHVR thinking that Oppression's multi gen regression is too powerful for a shorter cooldown). That said, a simple reduction in cooldown is probably a healthier choice, but I think it'd be fun if they did rework the perk a bit instead of doing the number change. Idea B was also admittedly much, MUCH more wild of a change, since it could definitely open up new... dangerous venues (popping THREE gens due to a PGTW kick would be fucking insane).
on the subject of the MMR system, from someone who was a new player (due to MMR issues, no proper way to practice without just getting completely stomped both as killer/survivor (I literally spend 90% of survivor games getting 3 hooked before there's even another like...1-2 hooks in the entire game. I was VERY new to survivor and, (understandably, if frustratingly, because they want to win) I would CONSTANTLY get tunneled and get basically 0 help from teammates. I started just not bringing items cuz I was hemmoraging them and constantly didnt have any cuz I always died. due to all of that...and BHVR doing a thing to just suddenly out of nowhere screw me out of all my progress, shrug, and say 'oh well, grind the stuff back out or fork over money' left a sour taste that made me stop playing the game) BUT back to the MMR thing cuz sorry I went on a tangent: The MMR is just completely awful. I mostly played Killer (cuz...see my entire survivor rant), and I felt like it was a coin toss if I went against...what felt like complete kindergardeners, or suddenly I was against 3 P100s who all had flashlights and were completely bullying me with (what felt like, due to inexperience) 0 counterplay. I rarely felt like a game was close/even. And in order to run into the high end tons of hours folks, I decided to try...not getting 4ks and assuming that if I only got 3k, the MMR would think I'm worse and not...suddenly put me against a sweaty bully squad. So I actively was screwing myself out of BPS that I desperately needed cuz new, all so that I wasnt constantly going into matches where I just got completely bullied. For reference: only had 74 hours so VERY noob
I think Gen progression should have a cap like 75 seconds is the fastest or we bring back some killer Gen regression. Because 20 second gens are annoying.
If Zanshin became basekit I would fucking riot. I got it a few times during shuffle and there's NOTHING more infuriating to me than trying to line up a shot and missing because my eye wandered to the bright fucking yellow.

I agree that I dislike the scaling back of powerful killerscan lead to removal of skill exspression, but the removal of those techs were overall good I say although if we could scale back these killers in other ways I would like that more. Something like blight's hug techs I am happy are still gone because even after his add on nerf he was still very oppressive, but things like wesker's hug techs are fine to me because they have counter play in many situations and don't make wesker OP.

You'd have to have an option to turn that stuff off added, which while not unreasonable is still an extra bit of weirdness. And while I still defend my idea as a simple way to make learning the game easier, the other suggestions given are also just a better way of going about learning maps. (That pre-game lobby idea is dope)
On "why can't killer have fun" while losing It's less that they lost and more how. It's not fun to bring in a fun meme build then have 4 gens pop before it could get going.
I mean, boo-hoo? As a survivor main sometimes I also bring a fun/meme build and I get tunneled right out of the game immediately. Load into the next match and try again. Not every match can go your way

Even when I bring in the big guns there is always the possibility that survivors will get 3-4 5ths of their objectives done before I cross the map. I don't mind losing but when you have seen a Gen pop in 18 seconds with zero way to counter it I do not think the game is healthy. There is no skill in genrush or any real counter now that survivors are fed so much information they can know they are safe to rush the Gen. I can play nurse but I don't like nurse (scream gives me a headache) and while I enjoy blight i want to play with all my killers and not be penguinholed really the only real counter is the ability to traverse the map with such speed as all means of actually slowing down survivors have been nerfed. I want to chase I want to play fair I want to bring out the weird perks people hardly see and show you that in the right circumstances they are effective. But I cannot when I am effectively playing a 3 Gen not 60 seconds into a game.

However average or not I don't care. I just read a metric ton of survivor mains who claim they they can play blindfolded but when I see their matches they are literally in the shallows playing with first time survivors who don't understand their kit. Or know how to path or can only hit one skill check out of five. I call this the shallows There is a threshold in dbd that some cross and when you do you can never derank out of it. BHVR will always prioritize money, they don’t care about balance unless it affects the numbers of the playerbase. We have people defending them since 2016 when the entire survivor meta was the same for YEARS. -Idk if this is really a hot take, but i think that unknown is easily in top 3 best desinged killers. -having killers with much more skill celling and (along with that) lower pickrates, isnt neccesary bad, so i dont think that for example hux needs any bigger changes in his power -myers isn't fun at all. While playing against him, you'll either stomp on him without difficulty and satisfaction, or due to cracked addons he'll kill everyone in about 5 minutes. Unknown is okay it has a fun counter that actually requires survivors to take a risk. I'd prefer if the emps were just a bit harder to aquire like needing to be assimbled from two printers (with more printers being added) or the printers don't automatically activate and instead you need to turn them on to get it to generate one. Because it isn't hard to loop hux for 100 seconds. Myers is fun IMHO especially jumpscare Myers. Brings the horror back to dbd.
1:58:22 I thankfully have never had to deal with tunneling at 5 gens but I have had to deal with annoying ass tunneling for ridiculous reasons. Like several times, I’ve managed to get a flashy save or a sabo save and then they just decide to tunnel me out for the rest of the goddamn game because they’re salty, and it’s not because I ran into them, I actively evaded the killer in those circumstances, but they made a ridiculous effort to go for my ass just because they were mad.
I've never done this, as a killer, but whenever I play survivor and it happens to me it makes me lose my shit. Because, like, there's no point in being THAT mad over a long chase [reasons I've been tunneled lol], flashlight/pallet saves, or whatever. Why tunnel that person whenever you're just losing pressure, it makes no sense to me, but always gives me a good laugh

1:38:44 I said this in the hatch video, my solution is to add a fog within a 20 meter radius of the hatch that gets thicker the closer you are but not the point where you can’t see stuff, and it sort of seeps out of the hatch just for visual
Hi kaiser, when watching the video I realise my comment was badly worded and even then it was very biased because at the time I was kind of angry as I had lost some matches that I believed that it wasn't my fault, I still think some maps are horrible for slinger like hawkings but this is off the point, what I meant in my comment was more of killers should be prioritized to be fun to play as and be viable over survivor's fun but I have realized this is not the way to do it from your feedback.
But I am happy that my comment at least made you guys have a laugh👍

The think I understood while watching: I don't understand the difference between Chase power and Anti-loop power. Like... anti-loop is what you use during chase, isn't it what chase powers are about?

BHVR will always prioritize money, they don’t care about balance unless it affects the numbers of the playerbase. We have people defending them since 2016 when the entire survivor meta was the same for YEARS. It’s the same kind of players that defend “pay to win” mobile games saying the devs put in effort and care about the game….no sir, they care about your wallet

-having killers with much more skill celling and (along with that) lower pickrates, isnt neccesary bad, so i dont think that for example hux needs any bigger changes in his power
-myers isn't fun at all. While playing against him, you'll either stomp on him without difficulty and satisfaction, or due to cracked addons he'll kill everyone in about 5 minutes. And pretty much same stuff can be said from killer's pov

I'd prefer if the emps were just a bit harder to aquire like needing to be assimbled from two printers (with more printers being added) or the printers don't automatically activate and instead you need to turn them on to get it to generate one. Because it isn't hard to loop hux for 100 seconds.

1:58:22 I thankfully have never had to deal with tunneling at 5 gens but I have had to deal with annoying ass tunneling for ridiculous reasons. Like several times, I’ve managed to get a flashy save or a sabo save and then they just decide to tunnel me out for the rest of the goddamn game because they’re salty, and it’s not because I ran into them, I actively evaded the killer in those circumstances, but they made a ridiculous effort to go for my ass just because they were mad.
I've never done this, as a killer, but whenever I play survivor and it happens to me it makes me lose my shit. Because, like, there's no point in being THAT mad over a long chase [reasons I've been tunneled lol], flashlight/pallet saves, or whatever. Why tunnel that person whenever you're just losing pressure, it makes no sense to me, but always gives me a good laugh
